Tommie Collins Jr.
STAMFORD - Tommie Collins Jr., 66, died Friday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mount Olive Baptist Church with the Rev. Jessie Hooper officiating. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Cemetery, directed by Tankersley Funeral Home.
Mr. Collins was born in Louisiana and was a retired laborer for Stamford Cotton Oil Mill and Stamford Cotton Compress.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Collins of Stamford; two sons, Tommie Collins III and Odell Griggs, both of Stamford; seven daughters, Mary Jo White and Dorothy Bailey, both of California, Betty Brown of Abilene, Peggy Johnson, Martha Collins, Jackie Collins and Janetta Collins, all of Stamford; two brothers, Wendell Gardner of Houston and Edward Gardner of California; five sisters, Thelma Clay of Chicago, Ill., Virginia Fletcher of Alamogordo, N.M., Jimmy Grey, Lillie Fay Gardner and Catherine Davis, all of California; 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Vera Orbie Wood
SWEETWATER - Vera Orbie Wood, 89, died Saturday at a local care center.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today in Sweetwater Cemetery with the Rev. Malcolm Brown officiating, directed by McCoy Funeral Home.
Mrs. Wood was born in Wichita Falls and moved to Sweetwater as a child. She graduated from Sweetwater schools and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. She retired after 30 year swith U.S.G. and worked as a nurse's aide at Holiday Retirement Center.
Survivors include one son, Robert Allred of Mossyrock, Wash.; four grandchildren, including Sheralyn Nichols of Abilene, and two great- grandchildren.

E.B. 'Buddy' Wilkerson
COLEMAN - E.B. "Buddy" Wilkerson, 85, died Saturday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Paul Smith officiating. Burial will be in Coleman Cemetery.
Mr. Wilkerson was born in Tye and grew up and attended school in the Tecumseh/Oplin area. He moved to Coleman from the Oplin area in 1952. He was a heavy equipment operator for highway construction and pipelines. He married Lela Faye Looney in 1937 in Abilene; she preceded him in death.
Survivors include one daughter, Deanna Ratzow of Bowie, Md.; one sister, Truman Nichols of California; five grandchildren, four great- grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
The family will be at the funeral home from 5-7 p.m. today.

Elmyra Mae Hodge
EASTLAND - Elmyra Mae Hodge, 99, formerly of Eastland, died Friday at a Kaufman nursing home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Larry Fitzgerald officiating. Burial will be in Eastland Cemetery.
Mrs. Hodge was born in Vernon and had lived in El Dorado, Ark., since 1978. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ. She marriage Paul Hodge in 1916; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include one son, Lee "Jack" Hodge of El Dorado; one sister, Ruth Grigsby of Ardmore, Okla.; two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Frank Jacobs
CISCO - Frank Jacobs, 91, of Abilene died Saturday in Irving.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Kimbrough Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Clifford Stewart officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
Mr. Jacobs was born in Cisco and graduated from Cisco High School and Randolph College. He was employed by Humble Oil and Refining for 40 years. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Abilene and Abilene Lions Club. He married Ponda Ainsworth in 1926.
Survivors include one daughter, Donna Holland of Irving; two grandchildren and four great-grandsons.

Mrs. Travis Elizabeth Tucker
HEREFORD - Mrs. Travis Tucker, 87, died Sunday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Central Church of Christ with Tom Bailey officiating. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Fairmont Cemetery in San Angelo, directed by Parkside Chapel.
Mrs. Tucker was born in Bennington, Okla., and had lived in Hereford for several years. She was a homemaker and a member of Central Church of Christ. She married C.M. Tucker.
Survivors include two sons, Carroll Tucker of Bastrop and Travis Tucker of Tuscola; three daughters, Valmeta Wisdom of Dallas, Arvella Lauderback of Hereford and Willetta Isom of Lockney; 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Antonio Chavana Sr.
Antonio Chavana Sr., 59, of Abilene died Saturday at an Albuquerque, N.M., hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at St. Francis Catholic Church with the Rev. Joe Uecker officiating. Burial will be in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory.
Mr. Chavana was born in San Antonio and moved to Abilene 50 years ago. He was a Marine Corps veteran, a mechanic at Maxwell Golf Course and a member of St. Francis Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Davlia Chavana of Abilene; five sons, Dan Davlia of Hawaii, David Davlia of Austin, Antonio Chavana of Fort Worth and Jessie Chavana and Joe Chavana, both of Abilene; three daughters, Linda Martinez of San Angelo and Josie Castro and Peggy Gomez, both of Abilene; two brothers, Pete Chavana of Wichita, Kan., and Jose Gaona of Abilene; 21 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Annie Burt
Annie C. Burt, 87, of Anson died Saturday at an Anson hospital.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. today in Good Hope Cemetery in Chapman, Kan. Local arrangements were by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory.
Mrs. Burt was born in Chapman and moved to Anson in 1995. She was a homemaker and a Catholic.
Survivors include three sons, Randolph Burt of Salina, Kan., Edward Burt of Merkel and Albert Burt of Holcomb, Kan.

Dorothy Roach
STEPHENVILLE - Dorothy Roach, 73, died Monday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Rodger Weems officiating. Burial will be in West End Cemetery.
Mrs. Roach was born in Stephenville, where she lived all her life. She was co-owner of Jake & Dorothy's Cafe since 1948 and was a founding member of Stephenville Women's Golf Association. She married J.T. "Jake" Roach in 1946 in Stephenville.
Survivors include one daughter, Kerry Roach of Stephenville; two brothers, Paul Hooks of Stephenville and Bobby Hooks of Eastland; and one sister, Carol Stinnett of Abilene.

Robert 'Bob' Potter
ROSCOE - Robert "Bob" Potter, 92, died Sunday at a Sweetwater hospital.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Charles Addington and Paul Potter officiating. Burial will be in Roscoe Cemetery, directed by McCoy Funeral Home.
Mr. Potter was born in Mountain Creek and had lived in Roscoe since 1906. He graduated from Roscoe High School and attended Hardin-Simmons University. He was a retired farmer and played professional baseball. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, where he was treasurer many years, Roscoe Lions Club, the Gideons chapter in Sweetwater and Nolan County Farm Bureau, where he was past president. He married Ruth Lohn in 1932 in Abilene.
Survivors include his wife, of Roscoe; two sons, Paul Potter of Roscoe and Joe Potter of Fort Worth; one daughter, Marilyn Potter of Abilene; 12 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, one nephew and two nieces.
