Faye Lancaster Moore
RISING STAR - Faye Lancaster Moore, 86, died Monday at a local nursing home.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Higginbotham Funeral Home Chapel with Don Longoria officiating, assisted by Dennis Hester. Burial will be in Blake Cemetery.
Mrs. Moore was born in the Wolf Valley community (Brown County) and lived in Rising Star most of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of May United Methodist Church. She married J.W. Moore in 1929; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include one son, J. Weldon Moore of Shawnee, Okla.; two daughters, Ann Murdoch of the Williams community and Judy Coker of Earth; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Lula Mary Bell
COMANCHE - Lula Mary Bell, 85, of Hasse died Sunday at a Dublin nursing home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hall & Sons Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery near Owens.
Mrs. Bell was born in Fairview, Mont., and moved to Hasse in 1985 from Santa Anna. She was a homemaker and a member of Holder Baptist Church near Dublin. She married Thomas Jefferson Bell in 1929 in Roaring Springs; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons, George Bell of Round Rock and R.J. Bell of Glen Rose; two daughters, Jeanette Locks of Comanche and Mary Herring of Fort Worth; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Richard Casey
COLEMAN - Richard A. Casey, 89, died Sunday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Reed Justus officiating. Burial will be in Coleman Cemetery.
Mr. Casey was born in Stanton, grew up in the Clyde area and attended school at Union Hill. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He had lived in Coleman for more than 60 years and owned a trucking company. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and Friendly Fellows Sunday school class. He married Grace Stevens in 1932 in Lawn.
Survivors include his wife, of Coleman; one daughter, Marie Hudson of Coleman; one son, Richard Lee Casey of Seminole; two sisters, Laura Ryan of Coleman and Rubye Putman of Frankston; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, one nephew and one niece.

Elzo Harbin
EASTLAND - Elzo W. Harbin, 81, died Sunday at a Fort Worth hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Thomas Goodman officiating. Burial will be in Eastland City Cemetery.
Mr. Harbin was born and grew up in Flatwood and graduated from Carbon School. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He lived in Kermit and Odessa before moving to Eastland in 1967. He retired from Mobile Oil Company. He was a Methodist and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, Laura Harbin of Plano; one daughter, Laureen Dendy of Plano; one sister, Rosa Mae Nolen of Eastland; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, three nephews and six nieces.

Marie Pope Hinkle
MIDLAND - Marie Pope Hinkle, 87, died Monday at a local hospital.
Memorial services will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church chapel with Dr. Gary Dyer officiating, directed by Ellis Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hinkle was born in Canyon and moved to Hamlin as a child, where she graduated from high school. She graduated from the University of Texas in 1931 and taught school for a number of years in Pecos and Anson. She moved to Midland in 1940 and, with her husband, established Hinkle Distributors. She was a member of First Baptist Church, joining in 1940, and Rebecca Sunday school class. She was a member of Midland Woman's Club, 20th Century Study Club, Texas Game Fishing Club, International Game Fishing Association and Kappa Delta Sorority. She married Richard Hinkle in 1936 in Pecos; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include one son, Harry Hinkle of Midland; one daughter, Ann Dunbar of Austin; one sister, Doris Pope Kinney of Stamford; and four grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the donor's favorite charity.

June Locks Guyer
BROWNWOOD - June Locks Guyer, 80, died Monday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel with Mark Guyer and Ted Kell officiating. Burial will be in Zephyr Cemetery.
Mrs. Guyer was born in Manor and graduated from Zephyr High School. She graduated from Howard Payue University with a bachelor's degree and from Hardin-Simmons University with a master's degree. She taught school in Brookesmith and Brownwood and held offices in many local, state and national educational organizations. She was a member and past officer of Retired Teachers and of Delta Kappa Gamma, Omiga Chapter. She was a member of Austin Avenue Church of Christ and taught Sunday school in Zephyr (beginning at age 11) and at Austin Avenue. She was a charter member of Zephyr Cemetery board, serving for many years. She married Grady Guyer in 1944 at Camp Bowie; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include one sister, Lucille Rendleman of Brownwood; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Memorials may be made to Cherokee Childrens Home in Cherokee; Austin Avenue Church of Christ; the Zephyr Cemetery Association; or to the donor's favorite charity.
The family will be at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. today.

Belon Darby Moran
Belon Darby Moran, 45, lifelong Abilene resident, died Monday in Abilene.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Allen-Korzenewski Funeral Home Chapel, 1443 N. 2nd.
Mr. Moran was born in Abilene and was a Vietnam War veteran. He married Glenda Lang in 1978 in Abilene and worked as a driver for Truck Town and Carpenter Truck Sales. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, of Abilene; one son, Christopher Moran of Abilene; one daughter, Brendi Barton of Abilene; his mother, Clara Moran of Abilene; two brothers, Danny Moran and Buddy Haile, both of Abilene; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Lovita Mildred Miller
DAYTON, Wash. - Lovita Mildred Miller, 75, formerly of Abilene, died Thursday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Burial will be in Dayton City Cemetery, directed by Hubbard-Rogg Funeral Home.
Mrs. Miller was born in South Bend, Texas, and attended school in Abilene. She also attended Northern Arizona University and Salem Community College. She was a taxi dancer with the U.S. Army at Fort Ord in California during World War II and worked as the head cook for the Bureau of Indian Affairs at Shonto and Cayeta Boarding schools in Arizona for many years. She was a designer's seamstress at Camp Barkeley. She was district president of the Relief Society at Shonto and Cayeta and was a stake missionary in Shonto and Alamogordo, N.M. She moved to Dayton in 1990 from Salem, Ore. She was a member of LDS Church and was a French translator for the church's genealogy records. She was the widow of M. Jess Miller, whom she married in 1979 in Boise, Idaho.
Survivors include three children, Don Wayne Hughes of Hawley, Louise "Judy" Hecock of Prescott, Wash., and Seretta K. Kerne of Pendleton, Ore.; three stepsons, Ronnie Dale Miller of Cabot, Ark., and Jess Miller and Shannon Miller, both of Roseburg, Ore.; three stepdaughters, Tommie Gail Walden of Dallas, Toni Wallrod of Myrtle Creek, Ore., and Amber Kennedy of Hollister, Mo.; 18 grandchildren; six step grandchildren; and many great grandchildren and step great grandchildren; one aunt; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Thelma Choate Chisolm
CISCO - Thelma Choate Chisolm, 69, died Monday in an Austin hospital.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Cisco First Baptist Church with the Revs. Chris Craig and Kenneth Jones officiating. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. in Mount Marion Cemetery in Strawn, directed by Edwards Funeral Home of Eastland.
Mrs. Chisolm was born in Mingus and graduated from Gordon High School. She married Sam Chisolm in 1947 in Strawn and was a homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, of Cisco; one son, Ron Chisolm of Mingus; two daughters, Linda Yancey and Diane King, both of Pflugerville; three brothers, Tommy Choate of Fort Worth, Raymond Choate of Abilene and Dale Choate of Keller; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Virginia Clarke
FORT WORTH - Virginia Clarke, 89, formerly of Albany, died Tuesday in a local care facility.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today in Davis Chapel of First Presbyterian Church. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Albany Cemetery, directed by Thompson's Harveson & Cole Funeral Home.
Ms. Clarke was born in Albany, where she graduated from high school in 1925, and earned a teacher's certificate in 1926 from McMurry College in Abilene. She then taught at Post Common School in Haskell County for one year before returning to Albany as a school teacher there. She became a laboratory school librarian and supervisor of school library practice at North Texas State University in 1942. Although she remained with North Texas State for 26 years, she took leave in 1956 to be a consultant in library service for the Texas State Education Service in Austin and, in 1957, to be a consultant in the establishment of a library system at Devonshire Elementary School in Andrews. She later was an assistant director of automatic service at Tarrant County Junior College until retiring in 1973. She was a library volunteer at Texas Women's College in Denton.
Survivors include one brother, Martin Clarke of Arlington; one sister, Maxine Clarke of Aledo; one niece; and one great-nephew.
