Pearl O'Bryant
STEPHENVILLE - Pearl O'Bryant, 86, cafeteria worker in the Stephenville school system for 13 years, died Friday at her home.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Emil V. Becker officiating. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory.
Mrs. O'Bryant was born in Belton and married Morris O'Bryant in 1929 in Anson. She moved to Erath County in 1931 and was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, of Stephenville; three daughters, Louise Miller of Carlsbad, N.M., Sue Miller of Fort Collins, Colo., and Jo Ann Whitfield of Granbury; one sister, Marie Cunningham of Albany; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Edna Pace
COLORADO CITY - Edna Pace, 84, died Thursday in Andrews.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today in First Christian Church with the Rev. Kevin Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Colorado City Cemetery, directed by Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
Mrs. Pace was born in Brownwood and moved to Mitchell County in 1923. She was a charter member of the Pink Ladies and was a member of the Home Demonstration and Homemakers clubs. She was the widow of P.H. "Shorty" Pace, whom she married in 1930 in Mitchell County.
Survivors include one son, Dois Pace of Andrews; two brothers, Claude Robertson and Buddy Robertson, both of Big Spring; two sisters, Mrs. J.W. Adams of Brazosport and Lillian Dossey of Colorado City; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Bill Parker Jr.
CISCO - Bill Parker Jr., 53, died Thursday at his home.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. Arrangements were made by Kimbrough Funeral Home.
Mr. Parker was born in Coleman and served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He married Janie Graves in Eastland and worked as a oilfield roughneck and as a security guard at an El Paso prison. He also was employed by a nursing home. He was a Methodist.
Survivors include his wife, of Cisco; three children, Cory Graves, Carl Graves and Craig Heinzman; one sister, Martha Lynn Autrey of Houston; and one niece and one nephew.

Nancy Pearl McCoy Cotton
Nancy Pearl McCoy Cotton, 93, died Friday in a local nursing home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Trinity Baptist Church with the Rev. Kevin Kennedy officiating. Burial will be in Midway Cemetery near Hodges, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory.
Mrs. Cotton was born in Hodges in Jones County and attended school in Hodges and Hawley. She moved to Taylor County in 1949 from Jones County. She worked as a nurse's aide until retiring in 1972. She was a volunteer for the Abilene State School, Retired Senior Volunteer Program and West Texas Rehabilitation Center, and was a member of Sherry Lane Lady Quilters, American Association of Retired Persons, Triple L Club and Trinity Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Riley Ewing of Abilene and Carrol Ewing of Lawn; three daughters, Helen Hackney of Abilene, Fern Baird of Marlin and Shirley Roberson of Buffalo Gap; one stepdaughter, Maggie Baldowski of Stamford; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be sent to Hospice of the Big Country, 3113 Oldham Lane, Abilene 79602.
Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Raul 'Roy' Flores
Raul "Roy" Flores, 73, owner and operator of Flores Building and Roofing Co. in Abilene since 1950, died Saturday in a local hospital.
A prayer service will be at 7 p.m. today in Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Good News Temple, 1164 Minter Lane, with the Revs. Hector Sanchez, Sam Matta and Ben Gonzalez officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Flores was born in Abilene and served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of United in Christ Church.
Survivors include his wife, Calletana Chia Flores of Abilene; four sons, Robert Flores, Raul Flores Jr., Joe Eligio Flores and Rudy Flores, all of Abilene; six daughters, Perfidia Flores O'Con, Dora Helms and Delia Barrera, all of Abilene, Rosemary Rabbani of Dallas, Beth Portillo of Arlington and Erma Linda Trimmel of Saudi Arabia; two brothers, Carter Flores and Willie Rodriguez, both of Dallas; three sisters, Eulila Olvera, Mary Ester Martinez and Martha Gregory, all of Abilene; 24 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be sent to a favorite charity.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today in the funeral home.

John Childers
OVALO - John C. Childers, 66, died Saturday in a Temple hospital.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Elmwood Memorial Park in Abilene with the Rev. Greg Rake officiating, directed by Fry-Bartlett Funeral Home of Tuscola.
Mr. Childers was born in Abilene and graduated from South Taylor High School, now Jim Ned, in 1948. He worked for Lone Star Gas before becoming a self-employed gas line ditching contractor. He lived in Childress, Dimmitt and Wichita Falls before returning to Ovalo in 1980.
Survivors include one son, Truett Childers of Austin; one sister, Ella Loys Allmand of Abilene; one brother, Tommy McLean of Houston; and several nieces and nephews.

W. Byrl Martin
ROTAN - W. Byrl Martin, 67, who, with his wife, delivered the Abilene Reporter-News since 1975, died Friday at his home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Rotan First Baptist Church with the Revs. Werth Mayes and Larry Holder officiating. Burial will be in Belvieu Cemetery, directed by Weathersbee Funeral Home.
Mr. Martin was born in Rotan, where he was a lifelong area resident, and married June Firestone in 1962 in Snyder. He also worked as a rural mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service and was a member of American Legion and First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, of Rotan; two daughters, Robyn Anderle of Rotan and Kenna Whitfield of Lamesa; two sons, Randy Martin of Rotan and Eddie Martin of Abilene; and 12 grandchildren.

Joe Herbert Patton
COLEMAN - Joe Herbert Patton, 61, died Friday at his home.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Coleman Cemetery with the Rev. Jim Considine officiating, directed by Stevens Funeral Home.
Mr. Patton was born in Goulbusk and graduated from Coleman High School in 1955. He attended the University of Texas and married Bobbye Bass in 1959 in San Angelo. He lived, for 15 years, in Austin, where he worked in fingerprint identification for the Department of Public Safety and then moved to Lafayette, La., where he was employed by Sperry Sun Inc. for 12 years. He was with the Tarrant County Sheriff's Department in Fort Worth for four years and, at the time of his death, was a dispatcher for the Coleman Police Department. He was a 32nd degree Mason and was a member of Shriners, Scottish Rite and St. Mark's Episcopal Church.
Survivors include his wife, of Lafayette, La.; one son, Scott Patton of Arlington; two sisters, Frances Stephenson of Abilene and Patty Williams of Burleson; one grandchild; two step grandchildren; one aunt; and nine nieces and nephews.

Gilberto Rodriguez
BROWNWOOD - Gilberto Rodriguez, 32, died Friday in a local hospital.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Greenleaf Cemetery with Dr. Lawana Boulet officiating, directed by Heartland Funeral Home of Early.
Mr. Rodriguez was born in San Antonio and attended school in Brownwood, where he lived most of his life. He worked as a laborer and was a Catholic.
Survivors include a longtime companion, Mary Lopez of Brownwood; two sons, Brian Jay Rodriguez and Kelby John Rodriguez, both of Brownwood; five brothers, Pilar Rodriguez and Arturo Rodriguez, both of San Antonio, and Oscar Rodriguez. Joe Luis Rodriguez and Roger Rodriguez, all of Brownwood; and six sisters, Angie Velasquez of Detroit, Mary Canelo and Lenor Perales, both of San Antonio, Eloisa Fernandez of Paint Rock, and Julia Palacio and Rita Bastardo, both of Brownwood; and several nieces and nephews.

Odell Bynum
HASKELL - Odell Bynum, 80, who, with her husband, owned and operated Bynum Hardware and Furniture Store for more than 40 years, died Friday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today in Haskell First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Shane Brue officiating. Burial will be in Willow Cemetery, directed by Holden-McCauley Funeral Directors.
Mrs. Bynum was born in Alvord and graduated from Haskell High School in 1935. She worked at Heidenheimer's for 14 years and was a charter member of the Business & Professional Woman's Club. She was a member of Wesleyan Service Guild and was a former director of the Chamber of Commerce. She was the widow of J.A. Bynum, whom she married in 1942 in Throckmorton.
Survivors include one daughter, Martha Jane Gibson of Humble; one son, James Adam Bynum of San Angelo; three brothers, J.J. Williamson of Plainview, A. Lynn Williamson of Oklahoma City and W.Q. Williamson of Kerrville; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
