Carl Richard Betcher
CLYDE - Carl Richard Betcher, 31, died Monday at his home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Riley Fugitt officiating. Burial will be in Dudley Cemetery.
Mr. Betcher was born in Lubbock and moved to Clyde from Anchorage, Alaska, in 1977. He was a welder. He married Dore Brumbaugh in 1987 in Clyde.
Survivors include his wife, of Clyde; one daughter, Carley Zell Betcher of Clyde; one brother, Toby German of Clyde; one sister, Michelle Betcher of San Antonio; and a grandmother, Cretha Sansom of Dudley.

Lowell Easley
Lowell C. Easley, 48, died Sunday at a Big Spring Hospital.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today in Elmwood Memorial Park with the Rev. Bill Ballou and Dr. Phil Christopher officiating, directed by Elliot-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory.
Mr. Easley was born in Paris, Texas, and moved to Abilene from Lubbock in 1960. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked in the oilfield and was a Baptist.
Survivors include his mother, Ann Cook of Abilene; three sons, Scott Easley of Abilene, Clint Easley of Palestine and J.B. Easley of Tyler; two brothers, Mike Easley of Abilene and Kelley Easley of Rockwall; one sister, Jean Easley of Dallas; and one grandchild.

Jim Yoder
James "Jim" Yoder, 49, died Sunday at his home. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Trinity Chapel Pentecostal Church of God, 6102 S. 7th, with the Rev. Gary Word officiating.
Burial will be in the Elliott-Hamil Garden of Memories Cemetery under the direction of Allen-Korzenewski Funeral Home.
Mr. Yoder was born in Willoughby, Ohio. He married Chris Cook in 1978 in Painesville, Ohio. They moved to Abilene in 1979, where he was a truck driver for the city refuse department.
He was a member of the Trinity Chapel Pentecostal Church of God and served two tours of duty in Vietnam with the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include his wife, Chris of Abilene; a son, A.J. Tijerina of Abilene; four daughters, Stacey Gonzales of Abilene, Robin Baumgardt of San Antonio, Michelle Brown of Amarillo, and Jamie Lehr of Abilene; three sisters, Beverly, Dot and Donna of Ohio, and 15 grandchildren.

Clotilda Marie Hill
ARLINGTON - Clotilda Marie Hill, 74, of Abilene died Saturday in Arlington.
Services will be at 9 a.m. today at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church under the direction of Moore Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Moore Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Hill was born in Mareksville and was a retired retail saleswoman.
Survivors include two sons, Stephen Hill of Sellersville and Robert Hill of Arlington; four brothers, August, Theodore, Zinc and Norbert Mikulec; one sister, Minnie Krenek; and five grandchildren.

MUNDAY - Audrey Phillips Leflar, 73, died Monday at her home.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today at Johnson Memorial Cemetery in Munday with Jeff Christian officiating, under direction of McCauley-Smith Funeral Home in Munday.
Mrs. Leflar was born in Knox County. She married Lee Roy Leflar in 1947 in San Antonio. She was a homemaker and a member of the Munday Church of Christ and Lady's Bible Study.
Survivors include her husband of Munday; two daughters, Toni Anderson of Coppell and Jackye Johnston of Abilene; one son, Bill Leflar of The Woodlands; one sister, Docia Garnier of Wichita Falls; four brothers, Nolan Phillips, Shelton Phillips and John Phillips, all of Munday, and Marion Phillips of Oklahoma City; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A son, Phillip Leflar, preceded her in death in 1970.

Jeremy Gaston
Jeremy Scott Gaston, 20, of Abilene died Monday at his home.
Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Pioneer Drive Baptist Church with Dr. George Gaston officiating. Burial will be in Elliott-Hamil Garden of Memories, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory.
Mr. Gaston was born at Fort Hood and lived in Abilene for 18 years where he attended public schools. He worked for Pepsi-Cola Bottling Co. and was a Baptist.
Survivors include his parents, Ricky and Ruth Gaston of Abilene; three brothers, Shawn Gaston of College Station, and Adam Gaston and Jason Gaston, both of Abilene; maternal grandmother, Naomi Nash of Huachuca City, Ariz.; and paternal grandparents, Ethelyn Clements of Cornish, Maine, and Bob Gaston of Maine.

Preston Duncan
COMANCHE - Preston Swift Duncan, 13, a Comanche Middle School student, died Tuesday at Cook Childrens Medical Center in Fort Worth.
Graveside services will be at 4:30 p.m. today in the Comanche Gardens of Memory under the direction of Hall & Sons Funeral Home in Comanche.
He was born Feb. 14, 1984 to Charles and Angela Winstead Duncan in Comanche.
Survivors include his parents; a sister, Shawnna Kay Duncan; a brother, Nicholas Duncan; paternal grandmother, Mary Kennedy; and maternal grandmother, Norma Taylor.

Raymundo Renteria
Raymundo Renteria, 70, an Abilene State School resident, died Monday in Abilene.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. today in the Abilene State School Cemetery with Father Joe Uecker and Chaplain John Laster officiating. Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory, is directing the service.
Mr. Renteria was born in Big Spring and moved to Abilene from Dallas in 1951. He was a Catholic.
Survivors include sisters, Angela Rincon of Dallas, Guadelupe Villasana of Big Spring, Reina Duenes of Guam, Margarita Galan of San Angelo, Petra Anderson of Odessa and Torinia Hugley of Nebraska; and a brother, Luis Renteria Jr. of San Angelo.

Margaret Evelyn Crossland
LAKE JACKSON - Margaret Evelyn Crossland, 79, died Sunday at Village on the Creek Health Care Center in Clute.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Shady Oaks Assembly of God Church, 128 Flag Lake Dr., Lake Jackson, with Dwayne Manes and Pastor Craig Buck officiating. The burial will be directed by Freeport-Lakewood Funeral Homes.
Mrs. Crossland was born in Kiefer, Okla., to Minnie May Payne Pickett and Otis Albert Pickett. She married Max C. Crossland, who preceded her in death. Late in life, she moved to Abilene from Ava, Mo., and enjoyed a late career at Abilene State School as a behavior modification administrator. She moved to Lake Jackson, where she lived while married, in 1980. There she served as a substitute teacher for BISD.
Survivors include one son, Mike Maxey; five daughters, Anne Herring of New Braunfels, Kay Barcak of Angleton, Paula Lawhon of Freeport, Lou Brantley of Clute, and Carolyn Jones of of Clute; four sisters, Dorothy Rucker of Abilene, Pauline Funk of Whitesboro, Mary Pittman of Brownwood, and Berta Fields of Abilene; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three nieces; and two nephews.

Vernon M. Hagar
EASTLAND - Vernon M. Hagar, 91, died Saturday at Wellmont Hospice House in Bristol, Virginia.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Eastland with the Rev. Bob Ferguson and Rev. Randall Spindle officiating. The burial will be directed by Edwards Funeral Home in Eastland.
Mr. Hagar was a native of Cisco and had lived in Graham, the Dallas-Fort Worth area and Eastland before moving to Bristol a few years ago. He worked in the wholesale grocery business as well as American Motors and Chrysler Corp. He retired in 1969. He married Annie Sledge Hagar, who preceded him in death. He was a member of the AARP, and enjoyed singing in senior citizens' groups, sports, fishing and his grandchildren. He was a member of the Cisco Nazarene Church.
Survivors include one son, James L. Hagar of Bristol, Va.; three sisters, Vera Doyle and Velma McCrary of Cisco, and Lillian Spindle of Oklahoma City; two brothers, Frank Hagar of Abilene and Bailey Hagar of Mineral Wells; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the Edwards Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. today.
