Karina Marie Contreras Cantu
BROWNWOOD -- Karina Marie Contreras Cantu, infant daughter of Marco and Tammy Contreras Cantu of Brownwood, died Monday.
Graveside services were held Tuesday in Babyland of Eastlawn Memorial Park in Early, directed by Heartland Funeral Home of Early.
Other survivors include her paternal grandparents, Joe and Robin Cantu of San Antonio; her maternal grandparents, Cruz and Eugenia Contreras of Brownwood; her great-grandparents, Margarita Diaz, and Jose and Guadalupe Cantu, all of Brownwood, and Eugenio and Alexandria Martinez of Comanche; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Audrey Brady
COLORADO CITY -- Audrey E. Brady, 84, died Tuesday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 9 a.m. today in Rest Lawn Mausoleum Chapel in El Paso. Entombment will be in Rest Lawn Mausoleum. Arrangements were made by Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
Mrs. Brady was born in Bettie and was a homemaker. She moved to Colorado City in 1984. She was a member of First Baptist Church and was the widow of William Campbell Brady, whom she married in 1932 in New Mexico.
Survivors include one son, Don Brady of Canyon Lake; three daughters, Rita Anderson of Big Spring, Frances Grimes of Los Angeles and Betty Robinette of Colorado City; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Tom Huddleston
BROWNWOOD -- Tom C. Huddleston, 82, died Monday in a local nursing home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Jones Chapel Baptist Church in Early with the Rev. Kevin Capps officiating. Burial will be in Eastlawn Memorial Park in Early, directed by Heartland Funeral Home of Early.
Mr. Huddleston was born in Fort McKavett and married Vera Pinson in 1939 in San Saba County. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II and worked as a welder. He was a member of Jones Chapel Baptist Church in Early.
Survivors include his wife; one son, Ed Huddleston of Grandview; one daughter, Judy Williams of Brownwood; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Lillie Mae White
HAMLIN -- Lillie Mae White, 93, died Monday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Hamlin First Baptist Church with the Revs. Howard Jones and Tracy Watson officiating. Burial will be in Hamlin East Cemetery, directed by Foster-Adams Funeral Home.
Mrs. White was born in Collinsville, Miss., and moved to Texas as a child. She married John H. "Jack" White in 1922 in Brown County and was a homemaker. She moved to Hamlin in 1933 from Comanche County and was a former member of the Hamlin Fire Department Auxiliary. She was a member of the Rachel Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, of Hamlin; one son, C.L. White of Hamlin; three daughters, Helen Thompson of Hamlin, Mary Lee Carper of Riverside, Calif., and Bobbie Lippe of Lubbock; 14 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Lorenzo Perez
GORMAN -- Lorenzo Perez, 82, died Monday at his home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Higginbotham Funeral Home Chapel with Charles West and W.D. Bailey officiating. Burial will be in Gorman Cemetery.
Mr. Perez was born in Brownwood and lived in Gorman for many years. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran and married Mabel Aanenson in 1948 in Halstad, Minn. He was a retired truck driver of Birdsong Peanuts in Gorman. He was a member of Disabled American Veterans Chapter 43 in VanDyke and Bride of Christ Church.
Survivors include his wife, of Gorman; four sons, Lawrence Perez Jr., Sam Perez, John Perez and Michael Perez, all of Gorman; five daughters, Linda Estes of Sanger, Frances Rivers, Alice Rainey and Victoria Perez, all of Gorman, and Mary Griffin of Breckenridge; one brother, Manuel Perez of Lampasas; one sister, Eloiza Varela of Hanford, Calif.; 21 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Alfred 'Buddy' Weise
CISCO -- Alfred H. "Buddy" Weise, 69, lifelong Eastland County resident, died Monday in a Brownwood hospital.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. today in Redeemer Lutheran Cemetery with Martin Kaufman officiating, directed by Chambers-Wilcox Funeral Directors.
Mr. Weise was born in Nimrod and was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church.
Survivors include one brother, David T. Weise of Carlsbad, N.M.; two sisters, Laura Wende of Cisco and Hattie Bennie of Strawn; and several nephews and nieces.

Andrew Englert
NORTON -- Andrew G. Englert, 71, died Tuesday in a Kerrville hospital.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rowena. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the church with the Rev. Stephen Kennelly officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Rowena, directed by Rains-Seale Funeral Home of Ballinger.
Mr. Englert was born in Rowena and graduated from Eola High School in 1944. He served with the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and married Matilda "Tillie" Jacob in 1946 in Winters. He was a farmer and received the Outstanding Conservation Award and Goodyear Conservation Award in 1987. He was a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus and had served as grand knight and district deputy. He was named Knight of the Year in 1996. He also was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rowena.
Survivors include his wife, of Norton; one daughter, Joyce Hall of Prosper; two sons, Stephen Englert of Corpus Christi and Robert Englert of Norton; his mother, Minnie Englert of San Angelo; one sister, Evelyn Ashton of San Angelo; and six grandchildren.
Memorials may be sent to a favorite hospice group or charity.

Annie Laura Phinney
COAHOMA -- Annie Laura Phinney, 84, lifelong Howard County resident, died Monday at her home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Coahoma First Baptist Church with the Rev. Elwin Collom and Dr. Kenneth Patrick officiating. Burial will be in Coahoma Cemetery, directed by Myers & Smith Funeral Home of Big Spring.
Mrs. Phinney was born in Howard County and attended school in Coahoma. She was considered a historian of Coahoma and taught school students about the city's history through the years. She also was a Sunday school teacher and was the widow of Clovis Phinney Sr., whom she married in 1930 in Coahoma.
Survivors include two sons, Clovis Phinney Jr. of Coahoma and Ricky Phinney of Sand Springs; one sister, Vera Knight of Cleburne; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be sent to Coahoma First Baptist Church or a favorite charity.

Myrtle Carrie Brown Beall Rogers
Myrtle Rogers, 80, died Tuesday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 U.S. Hwy 277 South, with Murphy Rhoads and Sam Hanson officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park.
Mrs. Rogers was born in Panola County and attended school in Round Rock, Georgetown and Abilene. She lived in Abilene for many years. She married Wayne Rogers in 1975 in Abilene and was a member of North Fifth and Grape Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, of Abilene; two sons, Larry Beall of Mexico City and Fred Beall of Abilene; one brother, Dalton Brown of Abilene; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.

Barney Smith
Barney H. Smith, 80, lifelong Abilene resident, died Tuesday at his home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Crescent Heights Baptist Church with the Revs. Butch Pesch and Mike Chancelor officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory.
Mr. Smith was born in Abilene, where he married Eula D. Middleton in 1936, and worked as an oilfield pumper for Anadarko Production Co. for 15 years until retiring. He was a deacon at Crescent Heights Baptist Church for 19 years.
Survivors include his wife, of Abilene; one son, Joe K. Smith of Midland; one daughter, Judy Woolf of Abilene; three brothers, Wayne Smith of Chino, Calif., Raymond Smith of Delois, Colo., and Jack Smith of Midland; one sister, Jewel Savell of Abilene; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
