Nicolasa Hernandez
Nicolasa P. Hernandez, 78, of Abilene died Sunday at a local hospital.
A prayer service will be at 7 p.m. today at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home chapel, 542 Hickory. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Vincent Pallotti Catholic Church with the Rev. Joe Uecker officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park.
Mrs. Hernandez was born in Mexico and attended school in Abilene. She worked as a cook at Kiva Inn for nine years, the Abilene Independent School District for 11 years and Holiday Inn for 11 years. She was a member of St. Vincent Pallotti Catholic Church, Humana Senior Association and A.A.R.P. She married Pedro Hernandez Sr. in 1939 in Abilene; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include one son, Jose Hernandez of Houston; one daughter, Margie Callahan of Leander; one brother, John Padilla of Abilene; one sister, Carmen Barrera of Abilene; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Linda Dianne Quinney Jarnagin
SNYDER - Linda Dianne Quinney Jarnagin, 38, of Denton died Saturday at her home after a sudden illness.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bunny Cox officiating. Burial will be in Dorn Cemetery in Dorn.
Mrs. Jarnagin was born in Abilene and was a student. She was a member of McKinney Street Baptist Church in Denton and Phi Theta Kappa Honor Roll.
Survivors include her parents, James and Treva Quinney of Snyder; one daughter, Lindsey Jarnagin of Denton; one son, James Jarnagin of Denton; one sister, Debbie Miller of Westbrook; one brother, Mark Quinney of Abilene; and grandparents J.D. Inglehart of Loraine and Olive Quinney of Baird.

Bobbie Avis White
COLEMAN - Bobbie Avis White, 77, of Abilene died Sunday at a Dallas hospital.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Coleman City Cemetery with the Rev. Jeff Robinette officiating, directed by Walker Funeral Home.
Mrs. White was born in Santa Anna and lived in the Coleman County area most of her life. She worked as an LVN at Brownwood Hospital and was a member of First Christian Church in Santa Anna. She married Edward Thomas "Tom" White in 1936 in Coleman.
Survivors include her husband, of Abilene; two daughters, Elaine Carol Koecher of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Patricia Ann Cooley of Abilene; one son, Edwin Eugene White of Dallas; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home from 6-7 p.m. today.

Thomas Nathan Abbott Jr.
SWEETWATER - Thomas Nathan Abbott Jr., 78, died Sunday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 4 p.m. today at First United Methodist Church in Aspermont with the Rev. Carl Thorell officiating. Burial will be in Aspermont Cemetery, directed by McCoy Funeral Home.
Mr. Abbott was born in Stonewall County and lived in Red River, N.M., for 30 years before moving to Sweetwater 10 years ago. He was retired after 25 years with Union Oil Co. and was a Navy Seabee veteran of World War II. He was a member of Men's Downtown Bible Class, Aspermont Masonic Lodge and First United Methodist Church in Aspermont and attended Highland Heights United Methodist Church in Sweetwater. He married Billie Murle Frazier in 1949.
Survivors include his wife, of Sweetwater; two sons, Tommy Abbott of Sweetwater and Larry Abbott of Dumont; five sisters, Alma Lee Rimes and LaRue Abernathy, both of Aspermont, Vona Mae Cade of Brownfield, ElNora Britton of Long Beach, Calif., and Jane Ayers of Abilene; seven grandchildren and two great-grandsons.
The body will lie in state at McCoy Funeral Home in Aspermont until service time.

Estelle Beaird
MERKEL - Estelle Beaird, 88, died Sunday in Merkel.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Starbuck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Sam Earp officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Beaird was born in Eula and graduated from Eula High School. She was a seamstress for T.S. Langford in Abilene and a homemaker. She helped organize Merkel Senior Citizens Club and was a member of Abundant Life Assembly of God Church. She married James Beaird in 1928 in Eula; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include four sons, Billy Beaird and Charles Beaird, both of Abilene, Gary Beaird of Drumright, Okla., and Jim Beaird of Merkel; one daughter, Linda Emmerson of Hawthorne, Calif.; one brother, Bob Bockman of Merkel; two sisters, Iva Nelle Bockman and Adelle Humphrey, both of Merkel; 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Elda Barnett
COLEMAN - Elda Barnett, 76, died Monday at her home.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Coleman Cemetery with Donald Williams officiating, directed by Stevens Funeral Home.
Mrs. Barnett was born in Fayetteville and grew up and attended school in Bend. She worked for Stemple Manufacturing Company for several years and was a homemaker. She was a member of Elm Street Church of Christ. She married Claud Barnett in 1939 in Bend; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include seven sons, Roland Barnett of Silver Valley, Ricky Barnett and Riley Barnett, both of Coleman, Richard Barnett of Burkburnett, Randall Barnett of Baytown, Ray Dell Barnett of Bronte and Rinn Barnett of Abilene; six daughters, Ora Nell Hopper and Casey Lobstein, both of Abilene, Heddy Barnett and Annie Brown, both of Coleman, Claudia Kemp of Burkburnett and Etta Bishop of Coleman; one brother, Elo Henniger of Temple; one sister, Lola Morris of Bend; 27 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will be at the funeral home from 7-9 p.m. today.

Hallie Elena May Morgan
RULE - Hallie Elena May Morgan, 98, died Saturday in Fort Worth.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. J.R. Williams officiating. Burial will be in Rule Cemetery, directed by McCauley-Robison Funeral Directors.
Mrs. Morgan was born in Bosque County and lived in Rule most of her life. She attended Simmons College and graduated from North Texas State University. She was a leading organizer of American Legion Post 167 Auxiliary, was active in Rule Garden Club, Philadelphia Club and Eastern Star and was a member of First Baptist Church. She was the widow of E.O. Morgan.
Survivors include one son, George Morgan of Fort Worth; one daughter, Evelyn Green of Alvin; six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Dolores Munoz
COLORADO CITY - Mr. Dolores Munoz, 75, of Loraine died Monday at a local hospital.
Mass will be at 10 a.m. today at St. Ann's Catholic Church with the Rev. Ray Wilhelm officiating. Burial will be in Loraine Cemetery, directed by Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
Mr. Munoz was born in Champion and was a retired farmer. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church.
Survivors include four sisters, Maria Munoz, Angelina Munoz, Mary Munoz and Juanita Munoz, all of Loraine; one brother, Manuel Munoz of Loraine; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Joy Janell Hunt
BROWNWOOD - Joy Janell Hunt, 54, of Early died Sunday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 5:30 p.m. today at First Baptist Church in Early with the Rev. Calvin Knight and Wayne Horton officiating. Burial will be in Eastlawn Memorial Park in Early, directed by Heartland Funeral Home of Early.
Mrs. Hunt was born in Brownfield and grew up and attended school in Mullin. She had lived in Early for 28 years and worked as food service manager for the Early Independent School District for 17 years. She was a member of Early First Baptist Church. She married Bobby Hunt Sr. in 1963 in Weatherford.
Survivors include her husband, of Early; one son, Bobby Hunt Jr. of Early; three daughters, Loretta Donahoo, Laura Ellis and Shelly Heard, all of Early; one sister, Betty Scrivner of Justin; and four grandchildren.
