Frances Livingston Rush
COLEMAN - Frances Livingston Rush, 84, of Talpa died Monday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at First United Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Jeff Robinett officiating. Burial will be in Talpa Cemetery, directed by Walker Funeral Home.
Mrs. Rush was born in Coleman County and lived all her life in western Coleman County. She graduated from Coleman High School and attended Texas Tech University. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Town and Country Garden Club, Talpa Home Demonstration Club, First Presbyterian Church and Women of First Presbyterian Church. She married Raymond Rush in 1930 in Dallas; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include two daughters, Peggy Blake of Midland and Ginger Sneed of Talpa; two sons, Tommy Rush of Talpa and Mike Rush of Odessa; one sister, Virginia Gustavus of Abilene; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Lavonia Ruth Perry
BROWNWOOD - Lavonia Ruth Perry, 69, of Brookesmith and formerly of California, died Monday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Heartland Funeral Home Chapel in Early with the Rev. Ruben Packer officiating. Burial will be in Greenleaf Cemetery.
Mrs. Perry was born in Voss and grew up and attended school in Coleman County. She was a homemaker and a member of Victory Baptist Church. She married Willard Alton Perry Sr. in 1946; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons, Larry Gene Perry of Abilene and Randall Perry of Brookesmith; one brother, Curtis Crenshaw of Georgia; one sister, Maude Kurkend of Haskell; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The family will be at the funeral home from 6-7 p.m. today.

Candace Nealie Moore
BROWNWOOD - Candace Nealie Moore, 98, died Sunday.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church with Dr. Ron Cook officiating. Burial will be in Greenleaf Cemetery, directed by Davis-Morris Funeral Home.
Mrs. Moore was born in Mills County and graduated from Howard Payne and Hardin-Simmons universities. She also attended Columbia, Colorado and Texas Tech universities. She taught 41 years in Brownwood schools. She was a member of First Baptist Church (since 1914), Mary Garland Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Daughters of the 17th Century, National Society of Magna Carta Dames and Brown County Retired Teachers, a charter member of Welcome W. Chandler Daughters of the Republic of Texas and a life member of the National Education Association.
Survivors include one niece; four nephews, including Harold Dee Roberson of Brownwood and Robert Lee Roberson of Goldthwaite; and a number of great-nieces and -nephews and cousins.
Memorials may be made to Howard Payne University library or First Baptist Church of Brownwood.

L.P. 'Pete' Alexander
BROWNWOOD - L.P. "Pete" Alexander, 65, of Bangs died Sunday at a local nursing home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Gibson officiating. Burial will be in Bangs Cemetery.
Mr. Alexander was born in Brown County and lived in Andrews for 40 years before moving to Bangs 25 years ago. He was an Army veteran, a bank vice president and a member of the Baptist church in Andrews.
Survivors include two sisters, Ida Poprick of El Paso and Lee Davenport of Dallas; four brothers, Guy Alexander of Brownwood, Marion Alexander of DeSoto, Clyde Alexander and Charles Alexander, both of Bangs; seven nieces and 10 nephews.
The family will be at the funeral home from 7-8 p.m. today.

Velma Elizabeth Glasscock
BROWNWOOD - Velma Elizabeth Glasscock, 86, died Friday at a local nursing home.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Songbird Lodge with the Rev. Chas Christian officiating. Burial will be in Greenleaf Cemetery, directed by Davis-Morris Funeral Home.
Mrs. Glasscock was born in Odessa and had lived in Brownwood for 15 years. She was a homemaker. She married Robert Glasscock in 1953 in Odessa; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include three grandchildren, including David and Bobby Baugh of Brownwood; five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Charles Thomas
BROWNWOOD - Charlie J. Thomas, 79, of Lake Brownwood died Sunday in Austin.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Heartland Funeral Home Chapel in Early with Mark Bryant officiating. Burial will be in Eastlawn Memorial Park.
Mr. Thomas was born in Roby and was retired from Intercontinental Mfg. Co. in Garland, where he was an aircraft machinist. He was a member of Lake Brownwood Dam Fire Department and Belle Plain Baptist Church. He married Amelia "Millie" Johnson in 1955 in Carlsbad, N.M.
Survivors include his wife; one son, Roy Bray of Beaumont; two daughters, Barbara Smith of Austin and Patricia White of Williston, N.D.; three brothers, Carl Ray Thomas of Celina, Richard Thomas of Fort Worth and P.D. Thomas of Allen; six sisters, Kathleen Howell of Chula Vista, Calif., Josie Raines of Plano, Faye Morgan of Garland, Jean Loftice of Nashville, Ark., Ann Burden of Gunter and Elaine Hooper of Frisco; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Ruby Audry Wedeking
ANSON - Ruby Audry Wedeking, 89, died Saturday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. John's United Methodist Church in Stamford with the Rev. Loren Gardner officiating. Burial will be in the Wedeking Family Cemetery in Jones County, directed by Tankersley Funeral Home of Stamford.
Mrs. Wedeking was born in Jones County and lived in the area all her life. She was a Baptist and a homemaker. She married John Wedeking in 1927 in Haskell; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons, Arnold Wedeking and Bobby Wedeking, both of Stamford; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Catherine Marie 'Cathi' Bailey
TUSCOLA - Catherine Marie "Cathi" Bailey, 35, who owned and operated All My Friends Day Care Center in Tuscola, died Sunday at an Abilene hospital after a traffic accident near Merkel.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Tuscola Church of Christ with Tom Bailey officiating. Burial will be in Tuscola Cemetery, directed by Fry-Bartlett Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bailey was born in Breckenridge and graduated from Follett High School. She moved to Tuscola in 1991 from Rogers, Ark., and was a member of Lawn Church of Christ. She married Randy Bailey in 1979 in Darrouzett.
Survivors include her husband, of Tuscola; two sons, Zachary Bailey and Joshua Bailey, both of Tuscola; two daughters, Cari Bailey and Cati Bailey, both of Tuscola; her parents, Joe and Wanda Fonville of Granbury; one brother, Joseph Fonville of Arlington; two sisters, Sandra Criswell of Granbury and Tammy Johnson of Kermit; grandparents, Mary Jane Pannell of Granbury and Katie Fonville Ball of Breckenridge; a step grandfather, Ralph Ball of Breckenridge; and 11 nieces and nephews.

Charles Fischer
KINGSTON, Tenn. -- Charles C. Fischer, 65, of Dogwood Shores and formerly of Abilene, died Tuesday in a Knoxville, Tenn., hospital.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday in Dogwood Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. R.C. Walker officiating. Burial will be in Dogwood Cemetery, directed by Click Funeral Home of Lenoir City, Tenn.
Mr. Fischer graduated from Abilene High School in 1950 and Texas A&M and Sam Houston State universities. He formerly lived in Temple, where he was a longtime member of the Elks Lodge and past exalted ruler. He also was a member of Knoxville Claims Association.
Survivors include his wife, Iris Isbell Fischer; one son, Jeff Fischer of Maryville, Tenn.; two daughters, Julie Hancock and Holly Christopher, both of Chattanooga, Tenn.; two sisters, Flora Modrow of Valrico, Fla., and Winona Howard of Arlington; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Weldon Luther Rutherford Hall
CROWLEY -- Weldon Luther Rutherford Hall, 82, formerly of the Big Country, died Monday at his home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Laurel Land Funeral Home Chapel of the Chimes in Fort Worth. Burial will be in Laurel Land Memorial Park in Fort Worth.
Mr. Hall was born in Corsicana and grew up in Stamford. He married Jewel Stevenson in 1937 in Abilene and worked in the cotton compress industry and later, for many years, oil industry. He was a retired maintenance supervisor of Frigette Corp. He was a Master Mason and was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, of Crowley; one son, Michael Weldon Hall of Fort Worth; two daughters, Barbara Hall Dyer of Crowley and Carolyn Ivison of College Station; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two cousins.
