June Hayes
ROSEVILLE, Calif. -- June E. Hayes, 77, formerly of Abilene, died Wednesday in Carmichael, Calif.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Cochrane's Chapel of the Roses. Burial will be in Roseville District Cemetery.
Mrs. Hayes was born in Galveston and lived in Abilene for 20 years. She moved to Roseville in 1984.
Survivors include her husband, Bill Hayes of Roseville; one son, William Russell Hayes of Stateline, Nev.; and two grandchildren.
Memorials may be sent to a favorite charity.

Pearlene Oliphant
GRAHAM -- Pearlene Oliphant, 91, of Abilene and formerly of Graham, died Wednesday in an Abilene hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Mel Stamback and Bill Gathings officiating. Burial will be in Gooseneck Cemetery in Young County.
Mrs. Oliphant was born in Comanche County and married W.M. Gathings in 1923. She was a homemaker. She moved to Graham in 1949 from Newcastle, and Abilene in 1992. She was a Baptist and was the widow of Oran Oliphant, whom she married in 1953 in Woodson.
Survivors include two daughters, Martha Elliott of Abilene and Maudine Knight of Raceland, La.; three sons, Charles Gathings of Dallas, Bennie Gathings of Abilene and J.O. Gathings of Hurst; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.

Lucile Baker Smith
SANTA ANNA -- Lucile Baker Smith, 97, died Tuesday.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today in Greenleaf Cemetery in Brownwood with the Rev. Pat McClatchy officiating, directed by Heartland Funeral Home of Early.
Mrs. Smith was born in Bastrop County near Smithville and moved to Brown County at a young age. She graduated from high school in Brownwood and Howard Payne University. She taught school in Buffalo, Clear Creek, Valera and Woodland Heights in Brownwood. She was a member of the United Methodist Women at Santa Anna First United Methodist Church and was the widow of Pierce Baker, whom she married in 1921; and Dale Smith, whom she married in 1971.
Survivors include two nieces and one nephew.
Memorials may be sent to Santa Anna First United Methodist Church.

N.B. Loudder
BRECKENRIDGE -- N.B. Loudder, 86, of Bedford and formerly of Breckenridge, died Tuesday in a Bedford hospital.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Elliott Street Church of Christ with Jim Cox officiating. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. in Mount Marion Cemetery in Strawn, directed by Melton Funeral Home.
Mr. Loudder was born in Gunsight and lived in Breckenridge for many years. He served with the U.S. Navy's Seabees during World War II and was a retired shop foreman of R.E. Dye Manufacturing. He was a member of Elliott Street Church of Christ and was the widower of Joyce Walker Loudder, whom he married in 1941 in Breckenridge.
Survivors include one daughter, Renee Hayden of Bedford; one sister, Jolene Hubbard of San Angelo; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Robert Mayfield
WINTERS -- Robert M. Mayfield, 81, died Wednesday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Winters Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Glenn Shoemake and Gayland Broadstreet officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery.
Mr. Mayfield was born in Titus County and moved to Winters at a young age. He served with the U.S. Army in the European Theater in Germany and worked as a truck driver for Bob Loyd Gas Co. He was a member of First Baptist Church and was the widower of Helen Clanton Mayfield, whom he married in 1940 in Ballinger.
Survivors include three daughters, Edna Ruth Self of Wingate, Bettye Bradshaw of Brady and Marilyn McGaff of Midland; two sisters, Gladys Haynes of Lubbock and Eleene Garrett of San Angelo; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Georgie Clifford
CISCO -- Georgie Clifford, 95, died Tuesday at her home.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Oakwood Cemetery with Gary Adams officiating, directed by Kimbrough Funeral Home.
Mrs. Clifford was born in Buffalo Gap and formerly lived in Clyde. She worked as a cook. She was a member of the Church of Christ and was the widow of Martin Luther Clifford.
Survivors include three sons, Burk Clifford of Cisco, M.L. Clifford of Clyde and A.B. Clifford of Cresent Mills, Calif.; two daughters, Margie Tatum of Brenham and Gypsy Collinsworth of Cisco; 22 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Simona 'Pokey' Searcy
Simona "Pokey" Searcy, 67, died Thursday in a local hospital.
The body was donated to science and no services are planned. Arrangements were made by North's Funeral Home, 242 Orange.
Mrs. Searcy was born in Galesburg, Ill., and moved to Abilene in 1934. She was a member of University Baptist Church and was the widow of John Raymond "Jake" Searcy, whom she married in 1950.
Survivors include two brothers, Alois D. "Pat" Heirman and Leo A. Heirman, both of Abilene; and several nieces and nephews.

Louise Durham Wells
Louise Durham Wells, 75, formerly of Hamlin, died Wednesday in a local hospital.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Hamlin East Cemetery with the Rev. Tracey Watson officiating, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory.
Mrs. Wells was born in Hamlin, where she graduated from high school in 1939, and married Bill Wells in 1942 in Stamford. She worked as a city clerk in Stamford for many years. She was a post office employee in South Carolina until retiring and was a member of the Business and Professional Women's Club in Stamford.
Survivors include her husband, of Abilene; one brother, John T. Durham of Indianapolis; and four sisters, Charlene Joiner of Hamlin, Jerita Rogers of Odessa, Janet Armstrong of Abilene and Barbara Holloway of Irving.

George Lopez
George B. Lopez, 69, died Thursday in a local hospital.
A prayer service will be at 7 p.m. today in Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 U.S. Hwy 277 South. Mass will be said at 9 a.m. Saturday in St. Vincent Pallotti Catholic Church with the Rev. David Matz officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park.
Mr. Lopez was born in Aspermont.
Survivors include his wife, Natividad Lopez of Abilene; four sons, Oscar Lopez of Tyler, David Lopez and Larry Lopez, both of Abilene, and Freddy Lopez of Lubbock; five daughters, Stella Gonzales, Vickie Cortinaz and Terri Lopez, all of Abilene, Olga Studer of Los Angeles and Rebecca Gregory of Killeen; two brothers, Andrew Lopez of New Mexico and Juan Lopez of Stamford; three sisters, Chonita Herrera of Aspermont, Lydia Pena of Greenville and Tive Herrera of Odessa; 19 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
