Leonard Thompson
Leonard D. Thompson, 76, of White Oak and formerly of Abilene, died Saturday at his home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Elmwood West United Methodist Church with Dr. David Hamblin officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 5701 U.S. Hwy 277 South.
Mr. Thompson was born in Lamesa and married Wanda Lynn Sanders in 1942 in Throckmorton. He served with the 8th Army Air Corps during World War II and graduated from Hardin-Simmons University in 1948. He became a certified public accountant in 1955 and was self-employed with the firm of Leslie, Thompson, Lawrence & Holly until retiring in 1988. He was treasurer of the city board of missions for 13 years and moved to White Oak in 1994. He was a member of both Fair Park and Elmwood West United Methodist churches in Abilene until moving to White Oak. He then became a member of White Oak United Methodist Church and also was a member of the senior citizens group.
Survivors include his wife, of White Oak; three sons, Don Thompson of Rowlett, the Rev. Roger Thompson of Birmingham, Ala., and Rob Thompson of White Oak; one brother, Earnest Thompson of California; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.

Jo Ann Martin
Jo Ann Martin, 60, formerly of San Angelo, died Saturday in a local hospital.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens in San Angelo with the Rev. Marvin Haile officiating, directed by Allen-Korzenewski Funeral Home, 1443 N. 2nd.
Mrs. Martin was born in San Saba and moved to Abilene in 1963 from San Angelo. She was a homemaker and was a member of Community Baptist Church.
Survivors include a longtime companion, John Garner of Abilene; her mother, Eva L. George of Abilene; three sisters, Betty Lampier of San Angelo, Gay Howsley of Waco and Joy Powers of Abilene; and several nieces and nephews.

Johnnie Marvin Ammons
Johnnie Marvin Ammons, 84, died Friday in a local care facility.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory, with Dr. Tom Thomson officiating. The body will be cremated.
Mr. Ammons was born in Fisher County and married Ethel E. Edwards in 1936 in Roby. He graduated from Texas Tech University in 1940 and taught school in Fisher and Nolan counties for eight years. He served with the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theatre during World War II. He worked as the manager of Midwest Electric Co-Op in Roby from 1948-76 and then managed Tri-County Electric Co-Op in Azle until 1982. He was a Roby school trustee for six years and served as Roby's mayor for 12 years. He was a past president of the Roby Lions Club and was chairman of the board at Citizens State Bank in Roby.
He represented Texas, New Mexico and Arizona on the management advisory committee of the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association from 1953-70 and also represented Texas electric co-ops as an executive board member of the Electric Reliability Council of Texas. He was a director of the Cooperative Finance Corp. in Washington, D.C. He helped establish a rural electric co-op in war-torn Vietnam under the Agency for International Development and was a past advisor to the pilot cooperative of Tuyen Duc Electric Co-op in Dalat, Vietnam.
He was a member of Abilene First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, of Abilene; three daughters, Jane Harvey of Abilene, Judy Seeley of Azle and Jonasue Ammons of Fort Worth; one brother, Earnest E. Ammons of Fort Worth; two sisters, Dorothy Lee Hall of Sweetwater and Arlene Neeper of Snyder; and five grandchildren.

Minnie Lee Walker
JAYTON - Minnie Lee Walker, 76, died Friday in a Lubbock hospital.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Jayton First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jim Reinbolt officiating. Burial will be in Jayton Cemetery, directed by Campbell Funeral Home of Spur.
Mrs. Walker was born in Stonewall County and lived in Jayton most of her life. She married Willie Elbert Walker in 1938 in Spur and was a homemaker. She was a Methodist.
Survivors include her husband, of Jayton; one son, Arden Lee Walker of Lubbock; one sister, Faye Lindsey of Bakersfield, Calif.; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The body will be at the church at 10 a.m. Monday.

Ramon Hudson
WINTERS - Ramon D. Hudson, 78, died Friday in a Ballinger nursing home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Winters Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ed Bigham officiating. Burial will be in Bradshaw Cemetery.
Mr. Hudson was born in Dike and served with the U.S. Navy in the Pacific during World War II. He married Ella Breshears in 1946 in Dallas and moved to the Winters area in 1952. He worked for Dry Manufacturing and was a member of Southside Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Martha Hammock of Kemp; one brother, J.C. Hudson of Rowena; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

James 'Jimmy' McCullough
BRECKENRIDGE - James "Jimmy" McCullough, 54, died Saturday in Shackelford County.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Morehart Mortuary Chapel with the Revs. E.A. Holder and Mike Spencer officiating. Burial will be in Breckenridge Cemetery.
Mr. McCullough was born in Gorman and lived in Breckenridge most of his life. He attended school in Breckenridge and was a U.S. Navy veteran. He married Vaneta Boyd in 1964 in Breckenridge. He worked for Lone Star Gas, H.R. Cawthron, Browning Oil and U.S. Test. He was in business with his brother, Lannie, in J.L. Environment at the time of his death and was a member of Lord's Old Time Gospel Church.
Survivors include his wife, of Breckenridge; three daughters, Sabrina McCullough, Katrina Harris and Kimberly Fuller, all of Breckenridge; one son, Jeffrey McCullough of Breckenridge; his mother, Darlene McCullough of Breckenridge; two brothers, Jerry McCullough and Lannie McCullough, both of Breckenridge; one sister, Donna Pardee of Breckenridge; and eight grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels and left at the funeral home.

Neoma Laverne Moore
WESTBROOK - Neoma Laverne Moore, 73, died Friday in a Colorado City nursing home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Westbrook First Baptist Church with the Revs. Jim Mosley and Bud Golden officiating. Burial will be in Westbrook Cemetery, directed by Kiker-Seale Funeral Home of Colorado City.
Mrs. Moore was born in DeQueen, Ark., and moved to Westbrook in 1940. She was a member of First Baptist Church and was the widow of Gay Leonard Morris Sr., whom she married in 1940 in Colorado City.
Survivors include one son, Gay Leonard Moore Jr. of Westbrook; her mother, Lila Collins Golden of Colorado City; one brother, Howard Golden of Odessa; one sister, Mary Ella Miller of Westbrook; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Hazel Gibson
GROSVENOR - Hazel T. Gibson, 78, died Friday in a Coleman hospital after a long illness.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Stevens Funeral Home Chapel in Coleman with the Revs. Ronnie Mills and Rick Free officiating. The body will be cremated.
Mrs. Gibson was born in Brandon, Miss., and graduated from Central High School in Jackson, Miss. She was the widow of Charles Woodrow Crane, whom she married in 1936. She married Barent Gibson in 1958 in Jackson, Miss., and worked as a docket secretary for the sheriff's department in Jackson for many years. She moved to Cotton Center in 1965 and Grosvenor in 1970. She was a member of Cotton Center First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, of Grosvenor; four daughters, Charlene Robinson of Rapid City, S.D., Wanda Fitzhugh of Lena, Miss., Beverly Reinhardt of Brandon, Miss., and Cynthia Mills of Fort Worth; two sons, Gary Crane of Jackson, Tenn., and Terry Crane of Houston; two sisters, Gladys Toles of Denver and Sue Brock of Mobile, Ala.; 14 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Adella Greene
CLYDE - Adella Greene, 75, of Kansas City, Mo., and formerly of Clyde, died Friday in a Kansas City nursing home.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Clyde Cemetery, directed by Bailey Funeral Home.
Mrs. Greene was born in Santa Anna and moved to Denver in 1944 from Clyde. She later lived in St. Louis before moving to Kansas City. She was a Presbyterian and was the widow of Edwin Greene, who she married in 1946 in Denver.
Survivors include one son, Richard Greene of Kansas City, Mo.; one daughter, Elizabeth Coyler of Dallas; and one grandchild.
