J.C. Carr
CISCO -- J.C. Carr, 86, died Tuesday in a local nursing home.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Oakwood Cemetery with Larry Payne officiating, directed by Kimbrough Funeral Home.
Mr. Carr was born in Eastland County and was a rancher. He was a member of East Cisco Baptist Church and was the widower of Dorothy May Donham Carr, whom he married in 1938 in Cisco.
Survivors include one son, B.W. Carr of Cisco; one brother, Raymond Carr of Breckenridge; two sisters, Hazel Foster of Cisco and Rosa Lee Wiloth of Moran; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Ruby Renegar
EARLY -- Ruby S. Renegar, 92, died Wednesday at her home.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Pleasant Valley Cemetery with Ted Kell officiating, directed by Heartland Funeral Home.
Mrs. Renegar was born in Brownwood and worked as a deputy county clerk in Tulsa, Okla. for 20 years until retiring. She moved to Early in 1994. She was a member of Rebeccah Lodge and Christian Church and was the widow of Joe Renegar.
Survivors include five cousins.

Anna Bell Mynatt
Anna Bell Mynatt, 77, formerly of Ennis, died Wednesday in a local hospital.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Myrtle Cemetery in Ennis with the Rev. William Tollett officiating, directed by North's Funeral Home, 242 Orange.
Mrs. Mynatt was born in Honey Grove, where she grew up, and was a homemaker. She moved to Ennis in 1940 and Abilene in 1997. She was a member of Rebecca Lodge and Tabernacle Baptist Church, both in Ennis, and was the widow of A.L. Mynatt, whom she married in 1939 in Honey Grove.
Survivors include one son, Lloyd Mynatt of Abilene; two sisters, Mildred Pierce of Abilene and Elizabeth Birdwell of Pauls Valley, Okla.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The body will be at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Ennis from 11 a.m-12:30 p.m. Saturday.

Gary Norman Hosch
Gary Norman Hosch, 53, employed by the Wylie school system for 30 years, died Wednesday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 3:30 p.m. today in Pioneer Drive Baptist Church with Dr. George Gaston and the Rev. Oscar Fanning officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 5701 U.S. Hwy 277 South.
Mr. Hosch was born in Santa Anna and graduated from Santa Anna High School in 1962 and Howard Payne University in 1966. He earned his administrative certification in 1972 from Abilene Christian University. He started his career at Wylie as a biology teacher in 1966 and was named elementary and junior high principal in 1974 and high school principal in 1976. He resigned in 1979 to become a full-time owner of The Man's Shop. He worked in the insurance business before returning to the Wylie school district as a seventh-grade teacher in 1982. He also was the intermediate school principal.
He married Kay Horner in 1966 in Santa Anna and was secretary of the Wylie Lions Club. He was a member of the Texas State Teachers Association, Texas Elementary Principals State Association and Pioneer Drive Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, of Abilene; and two daughters, Shannon Lawrence of New York City and Shayla Green of Baton Rouge, La.

Valta Miko Sanders
Valta Miko Sanders, 55, died Tuesday in a Coleman hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Sanders was born in Hamlin and moved to Abilene in 1974 from South Carolina. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Orval Clifton Sanders of Austin; one son, James Calvin Miko of Abilene; five daughters, Theresa Miko and Jolene Badillo, both of Talpa, Mary Rose Cook of Houston, Josephine Stewart of Arizona and Angela Anderson of Abilene; her mother, Velma Valrie Carrigan of Eula; three brothers, Sterling Carrigan of Venezuela, Willie Carrigan of Eula and Gilbert Blackman of Andrews; and 14 grandchildren.

Johnnie Morgan
MILES -- Johnnie O. Morgan, 89, former Spanish teacher at Franklin Junior High School in Abilene, died Wednesday in a San Angelo care facility.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in Johnson's Funeral Home Chapel in San Angelo with Eddie Tingle officiating. Burial will be in Miles Cemetery.
Ms. Morgan was born in Miles and graduated from Miles High School, Howard Payne University and the University of Texas. She taught school for 46 years and her career included the Byrd School near Veribest, Concho School, Hagan School near Ballinger, Mereta, Miles and, for 26 years, Franklin Junior High School in Abilene until retiring in 1973. She was active in the Miles Senior Citizens Center and Miles Baptist Church.
Survivors include one sister, Norene Morgan; and many cousins.

Merrill Stanford Craig
LUBBOCK -- Merrill Stanford Craig, 89, formerly of Abilene, died Wednesday at his home.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in City of Lubbock Cemetery with the Rev. John Ballard officiating, directed by Sanders Funeral Home.
Mr. Craig was born in Bisbee, Ariz., and married Virginia Miller in 1930 in Abilene. He attended Abilene Christian College. He served with the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and owned Craig Investment Enterprises in Lubbock for many years. He was a 32nd degree Mason in Mackenzie Lodge 841 and was a member of the Texas State Board of the Veterans Administration, Lubbock Apartment Association and Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, of Lubbock; his stepmother, Alice Craig of Mesa, Ariz.; one half-sister, Bertha Craig of Mesa, Ariz.; and several nieces and nephews.

Brian Tate Fletcher
DENVER CITY -- Brian Tate Fletcher, 23, of Clyde and formerly of Denver City, died Wednesday in Abilene.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Denver City First United Methodist Church. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Valera Cemetery, directed by Roger Pool Funeral Home of Seminole.
Mr. Fletcher was born in Artesia, N.M., and graduated from Denver City High School in 1992. He formerly lived in Abilene. He moved to Clyde in 1994 and graduated from Cisco Junior College in Abilene in 1997. He worked for McMurry University and later was a bricklayer. He was a bass guitarist for the Back Roads band in Clyde and was a member of Denver City First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his parents, Bruce and Connie Fletcher of San Angelo; two sisters, D'Lee Fletcher and Kristy Engle, both of San Angelo; one brother, Luke Fletcher of Denver City; his grandparents, Theresa Fletcher of Clyde and Berl Ancell of Artesia, N.M.; one nephew; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Memorials may be sent to Eleanor Tipps Scholarship Fund at Denver City First United Methodist Church.

Richard Bacon
CISCO -- Richard W. Bacon, 73, died Wednesday in an Eastland hospital.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Oakwood Cemetery with the Rev. Alan McGlauchin officiating, directed by McMillan-Satterwhite Funeral Home of Graham.
Mr. Bacon was born in Cisco and served with the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a retired school teacher and was a member of Episcopal Church of the Holy Trinity in Eastland.
Survivors include two brothers, Bob Bacon of Gatesville and Joe Bacon of Graham; one sister, Billy Griffith of Bellville; and six nieces and one nephew.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. today in Chambers-Wilcox Funeral Home in Cisco.
