Jimmie Claire Davis Hart
ROWAYTON, Conn. -- Jimmie Claire Davis Hart, 76, sister of a Jayton resident, died Thursday in a Westport, Conn. care facility.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today in Raymond Funeral Home Chapel in Norwalk, Conn. Graveside services will be Tuesday in Jayton Cemetery.
Mrs. Hart was born in Luzon, Texas, and was a homemaker. She lived in Norwalk, Conn. for 54 years and was a former director of the Salvation Army in Norwalk. She was a member of the Air Force Reserve Officers Wives Association.
Survivors include her husband, Edward T. Hart of Rowayton; one son, Edward J. Hart of Rowayton; four brothers, Douglas Davis of Concord, Calif., Monore Davis of Jayton, Jim Davis of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and John Davis of Livingston, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

Inez Hock
COLORADO CITY -- Inez C. Hock, 84, died Thursday in a Big Spring hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Colorado City First Baptist Church with the Rev. Ted Spear officiating. Burial will be in Colorado City Cemetery, directed by Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hock was born in Eastland and was salutatorian of her graduating class at Colorado City High School. She worked for the ASC until retiring. She was a past president and state representative of the Business & Professional Women's Association and was secretary of the Pecos chapter, American Association of Retired Persons. She was a member of the Colorado City Library board, Women's Chamber of Commerce in Pecos, Pecos senior citizens group and Colorado City First Baptist Church. She was the widow of Vernon Hock, whom she married in 1935 in Colorado City.
Survivors include one daughter, Ann Woods of Richardson; one son, James Hock of Spring; two sisters, Sarah Gohery of Colorado City and Louise Bollinger of Sweetwater; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Maurine Moon
BROWNWOOD -- Maurine Moon, 83, died Thursday in a local nursing home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lloyd Hagemeier and Jerry Gallaway officiating. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Plainview Memorial Park in Plainview.
Mrs. Moon was born in Commerce and lived in Plainview for many years. She was a retired nurse and moved to Brownwood in 1981. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church and was the widow of Andrew Jake "A.J." Moon, whom she married in 1933 in Plainview.
Survivors include three sons, Tommy Moon of Las Vegas, Nev., Burl Moon of Richardson and Douglas Moon of Mesa, Ariz.; one daughter, Linda Perkins of Zephyr; 16 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.

Virginia Fogle
SNYDER -- Virginia Fogle, 55, formerly of Rotan, died Thursday in Odessa from injuries received in an automobile accident.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Cross Roads Baptist Church near Rotan with the Rev. Joe Baucum officiating. Burial will be in Belvieu Cemetery in Rotan, directed by Weathersbee Funeral Home of Rotan.
Mrs. Fogle was born in Rotan and married Jesse D. Fogle in 1958 in Fisher County. She moved to Austin in 1966 and Snyder in 1978. She worked as a desk clerk at a hotel and in a childcare center. She was a member of Texas Extension Homemakers Association and Colonial Hills Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, of Snyder; two daughters, Lisa Melton of Snyder and Cynthia Fogle of Odessa; two sons, Michael Fogle and David Fogle, both of Austin; her mother, Mary Vaughan of Snyder; two sisters, Frances Ruark of Rotan and Marlene Beets of Dallas; and 10 grandchildren.

Ryan Rhone
COLEMAN -- Ryan Rhone, 42, of Coleman and Fort Worth, died Thursday in a Fort Worth hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Reed Justus officiating. Burial will be in Coleman Cemetery.
Mr. Rhone was born in Coleman, where he graduated from high school in 1973, and attended Tarrant County Junior College. He worked for Geo D. Rhone Co. in Coleman and on construction projects. He was a member of Coleman First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his parents, Don and Patsy Rhone of Coleman; three brothers, Randy Rhone of Fort Worth, Rodger Rhone of Coleman and Rusty Rhone of Dallas; one sister, Rosanne Rhone of Dallas; his maternal grandmother, Bea McNutt of Coleman; one uncle and one aunt; two nephews and one niece; and one cousin.
Memorials may be sent to First United Methodist Church, 500 W. Liveoak, Coleman 76834.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today in the funeral home.

George Heck Sr.
George E. Heck Sr., 81, died Saturday in a local hospital.
Services are pending with Allen-Korzenewski Funeral Home, 1443 N. 2nd.
Mr. Heck was born in Patterson, N.J., and served with the U.S. Navy during World War II. He moved to Abilene in 1950. He married Jean Hollingshead Benton in 1976 in Abilene and was a member of Second Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, of Abilene; five sons, James Richard Heck of Arvada, Colo., Edward Philip Heck of Abilene, George Edward Heck Jr. of New Jersey, George Philip Heck II of Houston and Gregg Edrian Heck of Farmington, N.M.; one daughter, Katherine Morris of Wichita Falls; two stepsons, Jack Benton of Lubbock and Gary Ford of Utah; two stepdaughters, Laura Benton of Sundown and Barbara Hendershot of Virginia; and 24 grandchildren.

Howard Richardson
Howard B. Richardson, 88, lifelong Abilene-area resident, died Friday in a local hospital.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Cedar Hill Cemetery, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory.
Mr. Richardson was born in Fisher County and married Mary Lou Nichols in 1930 in Abilene. He worked as a farm and ranch hand for Lit Winters for 25 years and was employed by Reeves County Feeders in Pecos for 10-1/2 years until retiring. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, of Abilene; one son, Cecil Charles Richardson of Fort Worth; two daughters, Mary Ellen Rowe and Dorothy Lucille Williams, both of Buffalo Gap; one sister, Mabel Sims of California; nine grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
The family will be at 2617 Simmons.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Elvia Louise Keck
Elvia Louise Keck, 86, died Thursday in a local hospital.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Elmwood Memorial Park with Dr. Steven G. Williams officiating, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 5701 U.S. Hwy 277 South.
Mrs. Keck was born in Keefeton, Okla., and was a homemaker. She moved to Abilene in 1948 from Electra. She was a member of Brook Hollow Christian Church and was the widow of Earl Madison Keck, whom she married in 1944 in Shawnee, Okla.
Survivors include one son, Gerald White of North Carolina; one brother, Floyd Morris of Pawhuska, Okla.; one grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.

Vernon 'Blackie' Blackburn
ARVIN, Calif. -- Vernon "Blackie" Blackburn, 77, formerly of Abilene, died Wednesday in Bakersfield, Calif.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Arvin Union Congregational Church with the Revs. John Martin and Rick Francis officiating. Burial will be in South Kern Cemetery District, directed by Arvin Funeral Home.
Mr. Blackburn was born in Abilene and attended school in Abilene and Hardin-Simmons University. He was a pilot instructor with the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and farmed from 1946-96. He was a partner in Blackburn Oil Co., White Wolf Potato Co., and Blackburn Brothers and Smith Cattle Co. He was president of Bear Mountain Co-Op Gin from 1970-78 and was a past member of Arvin Lions Club and Cal Cot. He was named Arvin's Citizen of the Year in 1994. He was a member of Arvin Chamber of Commerce, Arvin Bear Booster Club and Arvin Union Congregational Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred Blackburn of Arvin; one son, Vernon Blackburn Jr. of Arvin; one daughter, Millie Cadmus of Arvin; two brothers, Cecil Blackburn of Texas and Don Blackburn of Abilene; two sisters, Maxine Hollingshead and Nell Antilley, both of Texas; and five grandchildren.
