B.G. Gressett
AMARILLO -- B.G. Gressett, 73, formerly of the Big Country, died Friday in Amarillo.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors Bell Avenue Chapel with Dr. Larry Payne officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Gressett was born in Comanche County and graduated from Sidney High School. He married Viva Christine Fisher in 1943 in Gorman and worked for 33 years as a field supervisor for Halliburton until retiring. He moved to Amarillo in 1997 from Abilene and was a member of Wylie Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, of Amarillo; one daughter, Karen Brown of Amarillo; one brother, Vaden Gressett of Bristow, Okla.; three sisters, Neta Boyd of Comanche, Charlsie Fisher of Granbury and Barbara Tacker of Cut and Shoot; and two grandchildren.
Memorials may be sent to American Lung Association.

Marvin Bilberry
ASPERMONT -- Marvin L. Bilberry, 94, died Saturday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Aspermont Church of Christ with Bob Phillips and Jeff Sedberry officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olive Cemetery, directed by McCoy Funeral Home.
Mr. Bilberry lived in Stonewall County for many years and was a rancher and farmer. He was a member of the Church of Christ and was the widower of Ruby Elton Dool Bilberry, whom he married in 1923 in Stonewall County.
Survivors include one daughter, Sue Whittman of Mertzon; one brother, Frank Bilberry of Roswell, N.M.; two sisters, Bessie Arthur of Lubbock and Marie Dohono of Oklahoma; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Stephen Allen Smith
TUSCOLA - Stephen Allen Smith, 3, of Meridian died Sunday at his home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Meridian with the Rev. Richard Creech officiating, directed by Lawson Funeral Home of Meridian. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday in Tuscola Cemetery with the Rev. T.C. Melton officiating, directed by Fry-Bartlett Funeral Home.
Stephen was born in Waco.
Survivors include his parents, Allen and Elizabeth Smith of Meridian; one sister, Katherine Smith of Meridian; grandparents Michael and Brenda Smith and Frances Cumby, all of Tuscola, and Jimmie Audrey Womack and Imogene Long, both of Abilene.

Billie Love Magers
SHERMAN - Billie Love Magers, 73, sister of an Abilene woman, died Friday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Waldo Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Clayton Oliphant officiating. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in College Mound Cemetery near Terrell.
Mrs. Magers was born in Kaufman County and graduated from Terrell High School and Texas Women's University. She moved to Sherman in 1953 and was a secretary and office manager for various businesses, retiring in 1995. She was president of Beta Sigma Phi and National Secretaries Association and held offices in Altrusa Club of Sherman and Evangel Temple Assembly of God Church in Denison. She married Bob Magers in 1946.
Survivors include one daughter, Michelle Gatton of Arlington; two sons, William "Bill" Magers of Sherman and Mike Magers of Dallas; two sisters, Beula Wynne Love of Abilene and Sallye Smith of Wichita Falls; two granddaughters and two nieces.

The family will be at the funeral home from 7-8 p.m. today.

Maggie Mae Moore
BROWNWOOD - Maggie Mae Moore, 89, died Saturday at a local nursing home.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. today in Weedon Cemetery with Richard Hetzel officiating, directed by Davis-Morris Funeral Home.
Mrs. Moore was born in Cottonwood and owned and operated a restaurant in the Fort Worth area from 1939-1974. She had lived in Brownwood since 1974 and was a member of Lake Brownwood First United Methodist Church. She was the widow of H.A. Moore, whom she married in 1939.
Survivors include one daughter, Charlsye Morris Prince of Brownwood; one sister, Francis Barr of Brownwood; one granddaughter and two great-grandchildren.

Bertha Kanady
BAIRD - Bertha Kanady, 84, died Saturday at a Cross Plains nursing home.
Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. today in Belle Plaine Cemetery with the Rev. Phillip Schaefer officiating, directed by Parker Funeral Home.
Mrs. Kanady was born in Carlsbad, N.M., and lived in Callahan County most of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of the United Pentecostal Church. She married Berry Kanady in 1930 in Baird.
Survivors include her husband, of Baird; one daughter, Mildred Tollett of Clyde; one son, Gilbert Kanady of Baird; 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Anthony 'Tony' Telles
BROWNWOOD - Anthony "Tony" Telles, 33, died Friday at a local hospital.
Private family services were held Sunday at Heartland Funeral Home with Jerry Galloway officiating. The body was cremated.
Mr. Telles was born in South Elmonte, Calif., and had lived in Brownwood since 1994.
Survivors include his mother, Lynda Clarke of Richmond, Texas; two brothers, Joe Cook of Brownwood and Gary Telles of Richmond; and grandparents Kelly and Helen Reid of Brownwood.

R. Haskell 'Hack' Taylor
BROWNWOOD - R. Haskell "Hack" Taylor, 88, formerly of Lampasas, died Saturday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Oakhill Cemetery in Lampasas.
Mr. Taylor was born in Kempner and had lived in Brownwood for 16 years. He was a retired barber and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He married Myrtle Wolverton in 1932 in Brown County; she preceded him in death. He married Edith Baker in Brownwood in 1982.
Survivors include his wife, of Brownwood; one daughter, Norma Bessent of Early; one stepson, Doyle Baker of Chrane; two stepdaughters, Geneva Zarafanetis of Blackwell and Jimmie Lou Snyder of Dallas; two brothers, Floyd Taylor of Copperas Cove and A.B. Taylor of Temple; one sister, Wanda Gustafson of Austin; two grandchildren, four stepgrandchildren, two stepgreat-grandchildren and one stepgreat-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will be at the funeral home from 6-7 p.m. today.

L.B. Watkins
WINTERS - L.B. Watkins, 81, died Sunday at a Dallas hospital.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Glenn Shoemake officiating. Burial will be in Northview Cemetery, directed by Winters Funeral Home.
Mr. Watkins was born in San Saba County and moved to Runnels County in 1923. He was a farmer-rancher and a member of First Baptist Church. He had been a deacon for Wilmeth Baptist Church and First Baptist in Winters. He was pastor of Ritsville, Wash., First Baptist Church in 1978-1979 and assistant pastor for St. Luke Baptist Church for several years. He married Mary Morgan in Ballinger in 1938.
Survivors include his wife, of Winters; one son, Jerry Dean Watkins of San Angelo; two daughters, Marilyn Egan of Ballinger and Rita DeBusk of San Angelo; one brother, Carley Watkins of Denver; three sisters, Janice Weston, Jacquelene Martin and Mary Beth Baker, all of San Angelo; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will be at the funeral home from 7-8 p.m. today.
