Alberta Son McInnis
BROWNWOOD - Alberta Son McInnis, 95, died Sunday at a local nursing home.
Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. today in Greenleaf Cemetery with the Rev. Don Scott officiating, directed by Davis-Morris Funeral Home.
Mrs. McInnis was born in Brown County, where she lived all her life. She was a retired sales representative for Estee Lauder Cosmetic Company and a member of First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include one nephew, Thadieth Son Jr. of Austin.

Albert Nathaniel Rives
Albert Nathaniel Rives, 73, died Thursday in Abilene.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Restwood Memorial Park in Lake Jackson, directed by Starbuck Funeral Home of Merkel.
Mr. Rives was born in Lake Jackson, grew up in Freeport and moved to Abilene in 1992. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and worked as a painter for Dow Chemical, retiring in the mid-1970s. He was a boat builder and shrimper and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Abilene.
Survivors include three sons, Albert Joseph Rives of Tye, Michael Rives of Ryiad, Saudi Arabia, and Daniel Rives of Cape Canaveral, Fla.; one daughter, Mary Williams of Corpus Christi; two sisters, Edna Pace of Burkburnett and Jean Crow of Sommerville; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Stephen Allen Smith
TUSCOLA - Stephen Allen Smith, 3, of Meridian died Sunday at his home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at First Baptist Church in Meridian with the Rev. Richard Creech officiating. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. today in Tuscola Cemetery with the Rev. T.C. Melton officiating, directed by Fry-Bartlett Funeral Home.
Stephen was born in Waco.
Survivors include his parents, Allen and Elizabeth Smith of Meridian; one sister, Katherine Smith of Meridian; grandparents Michael and Brenda Smith of Tuscola and Jimmie and Audrey Womack of Abilene; great-grandmothers Frances Cumby of Tuscola and Imogene Long of Abilene; and aunts, uncles and cousins.

Oma Maye Ellison
DE LEON - Services for Oma Maye L. Ellison, 72, will be at 3 p.m. today in Downing Cemetery south of De Leon, directed by Nowlin Funeral Home.
Mrs. Ellison was born in Downing and graduated from De Leon High School in 1941. She attended Draughn's Business College in Abilene and retired in 1985 after 26-1/2 years with L.H. Lacy Construction Company as a secretary. She moved to Dublin after retirement and was a two-time president of Dublin Garden Club. She married P.W. Ellison in 1943 in Anson.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Ed Ellison of Quinlan and Phil Ellison of Garland; two daughters, Eva Rhodes of Sunnyvale and Mary Sanford of Aledo; one stepdaughter, Marie Iacono of Houston; one stepson, Tom Ellison of Houston; 10 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Willie Maurine Galloway
HAMLIN - Willie Maurine Galloway, 87, died Sunday at an Abilene hospital.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Foster-Adams Funeral Home with Dale Turner officiating. Burial will be in Hamlin East Cemetery.
Mrs. Galloway was born in Joshua and moved to McCaulley as a child. She graduated from McCaulley High School in 1927 and was a longtime Hamlin resident. She was a homemaker and provided child care in her home for 15 years. She was a member of Primitive Baptist Church in Rule. She married Charlie Austin "Jack" Galloway in 1928 in McCaulley; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include three daughters, Marjorie Burnett of Crowley, Jane Boen of Odessa and Betty Lawlis of Sonora; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home from 5:30 to 7 p.m. today and at 315 S.W. 5th.

Fern Mayo
COLEMAN - Fern L. Mayo, 82, died Monday at a local healthcare center.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Reed Justus officiating, assisted by the Rev. David Jenkins. Burial will be in Coleman Cemetery.
Mr. Mayo was born in Hermleigh and grew up in Coleman and Paducah, graduating from Paducah High School. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He lived in Fort Worth and Granbury, where he was employed by General Dynamics and Textron, and moved to Coleman in 1982. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and Chapel Sunday school class, Coleman Masonic Lodge 496 and Order of Eastern Star Chapter 360. He married Bessie Jewell "Sis" Newman in 1945 in Coleman; she preceded him in death.
Survivors include one brother, Morris Mayo of Coleman; and several nieces and nephews.

Lou Dola Hicks
STEPHENVILLE - Lou Dola Hicks, 87, died Sunday at a local nursing home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Andy Channer and Chuck Hicks and Dr. Mark Sinnett officiating. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
Mrs. Hicks was born in Purvis and lived in Erath County most of her life. She was a retired saleswoman, a homemaker and a member of First Presbyterian Church. She married Charlie Hicks in 1928 in Stephenville; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include four sons, Charles Hicks of Richardson, Dale Hicks of Pineville, La., Travis Hicks of Dandridge, Tenn., and Bobby Hicks of Loudon, Tenn.; one daughter, Ruth Ann Creagh of Breckenridge; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today.

Dr. James Beall
SWEETWATER - Dr. James A. Beall, 76, of Ruidoso, N.M., died Monday in Ruidoso.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Sweetwater Cemetery with the Rev. Allan Guthrie officiating, directed by Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Dr. Beall was born in Sweetwater and graduated from Sweetwater schools in 1938. He graduated from Baylor University with a doctor's degree in dental surgery in 1944 and was a Navy dentist until 1946. He moved to Odessa in 1946 and was a charter member of Permian Basin Dental Society and a member of Odessa Junior Chamber of Commerce and Chamber of Commerce. He moved to Ruidoso in 1957 and was a member of New Mexico Dental Association, Lions Club and Ruidoso Valley Chamber of Commerce. He was a Ruidoso Village Councilman from 1967 to 1970. He was a member of the State Board of Dental Examiners from 1968 to 1971 and a member of New Mexico Dental Association and Ruidoso State Bank board of directors. He was a life member of American Dental Association. He married Edith "Edie" Richards in 1957 in Odessa.
Survivors include his wife, of Ruidoso; one son, James Beall II of Albuquerque; three daughters, Judy Cranfill of Ruidoso, Celia Coskrey of Odessa and Judith Beall Lucas of Houston; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
The family will be at the funeral home from 1 to 1:45 p.m. Wednesday.

Gladys (Mrs. Louis) Overton
ALBANY - Gladys (Mrs. Louis C.) Overton, 86, of Merkel and formerly of Albany, died Sunday at a Merkel nursing home.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Albany Cemetery with the Rev. John Tunnell officiating, directed by Godfrey-Neese Funeral Home.
Mrs. Overton was born in Waco and was a retired proof reader for St. Regis Paper Mill of Watertown, N.Y. She was a Baptist. She married Louis Conrad Overton in 1934 in Albany; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include one daughter, Alice Flood of Ithaca, N.Y.; one son, Louis Overton Jr.; two sisters, Katherine McNary of Merkel and Myrtle Mumford of Albany; two grandsons and three great-grandchildren.
