EASTLAND -- The service time for Jack H. Tucker has been changed to 9 a.m. today in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Burial with military honors will be in Eastland City Cemetery.
Tucker, 71, of Abilene and formerly of Eastland, died Saturday in an Abilene hospital.

Mary Frances Burt
BAIRD -- Mary Frances Savage Burt, 88, died Saturday in Baird.
The body was cremated. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Sunday in Masonic Cemetery in Las Cruces, N.M. Local arrangements were made by Parker Funeral Home.
Mrs. Burt was born in Guymon, Okla., and taught school in El Paso for many years until retiring. She also was a longtime farmer in New Mexico. She moved to Baird in 1994. She was an Episcopalian and was the widow of Oliver Burt, whom she married in 1935 in El Paso.
Survivors include one daughter, Salli Williams of Baird; two sons, Edwin Burt of Truth or Consequences, N.M., and Richard Burt of Estancia, N.M.; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Winson Gray
HAMLIN -- Winson O. Gray, 83, died Monday at his farm in Jones County.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today in Hamlin First Baptist Church with the Revs. Tracy Watson and Howard Jones officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Anson, directed by Foster-Adams Funeral Home.
Mr. Gray was born in Comanche and moved at age six to Jones County, where he attended school. He married Lillie Parish in 1936 in Anson and moved to Hamlin in 1947. He was a farmer and stockman. He was a deacon, sang in the Glory Singers Choir and was a member of the Faithful Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, of Hamlin; three daughters, Betty Walsh of Amarillo, Joyce Bills of Spring and Dorothy Hein of Palestine; four brothers, Doyle Gray of Yucca Valley, Calif., Herman Gray of Quartz Hill, Calif., Hilmer Carter of Anson and E.C. Gray of Clyde; five sisters, Billie Mackie of Lake Tahoe, Calif., Opal Leddy of Fort Worth, Odie Wilson of Moscow, Texas, Tommie Sue Key of Anson and Lillie Loper of Clyde; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Dorothy Dianne Thames
RANGER -- Dorothy Dianne Thames, 55, died Monday at her home.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Evergreen Cemetery with the Rev. Jimmy Liveley officiating, directed by Edwards Funeral Home.
Mrs. Thames was born in Wichita Falls and graduated from Castleberry High School in Fort Worth. She married Roscoe Sterling Thames in 1959 in Ranger and worked for Thomas Conveyor Co. She was a member of and taught Sunday school at River Oaks Church and also was a member of the Professional Business Women's Association and Ranger First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, of Ranger; two daughters, Linda Thames of Ranger and Brenda Heinsen of Azle; one brother, Martis Hubert Farmer Jr. of Oklahoma City; and three grandchildren.

Frances Viola Flores
HASKELL -- Frances Viola Flores, 63, died Tuesday in an Abilene hospital.
Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in St. George Catholic Church. Mass will be at 3 p.m. Friday in the church. Burial will be in Willow Cemetery, directed by Holden-McCauley Funeral Directors.
Mrs. Flores was born in San Jose, Ariz., and married Bisente Flores in 1958 in Coolidge, Ariz. She was a homemaker and was a member of St. George Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband, of Haskell; six daughters, Janie Flores and Lydia Flores, both of Keller, Connie Flores and Irma Flores, both of North Richland Hills, and Rebecca Flores and Sallie Flores, both of Arlington; three sons, Joe Flores and Henry Flores, both of Haskell, and Emeterio "Happy" Flores of Grand Prairie; two sisters, Linda Viola and Mary Viola, both of Coolidge, Ariz.; five grandchildren; and two step grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today in the funeral home. The body will be taken to the church Thursday morning.

Billy Grubbs
BROWNWOOD -- Billy W. Grubbs, 60, died Monday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Heartland Funeral Home Chapel in Early. Burial will be in Greenleaf Cemetery.
Mr. Grubbs was born in Petersburg and attended school in Plainview. He moved to Brownwood in 1980 and lived at the Southpark Development Center. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include three brothers, Jim Grubbs of Floydada, Charles Grubbs of Alvin and Neil Grubbs of Odessa; four sisters, Shirley Moses of Sun City, Calif., Georgia Thorne of San Diego, Mickie Pimlott of Arlington and Eva Dean Spencer of Stuttgart, Ark.; and several uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

J.W. 'Bug' Isenburg
MERKEL -- J.W. "Bug" Isenburg, 73, died Tuesday in Abilene.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Merkel First Baptist Church with the Revs. Rob Seale and Bill Scott officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, directed by Starbuck Funeral Home.
Mr. Isenburg was born in Stith in Jones County and married Cora Mae Price in 1950 in Abilene. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for the City of Abilene Street Department for 34 years until retiring in 1987. He formerly was an assistant scoutmaster in Abilene. He was a musician, having played the mandolin and guitar, and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, of Merkel; two sons, Alan "Woody" Isenburg of Houston and Gene Isenburg of Buffalo Gap; one daughter, Debbie Row of Abilene; two sisters, Sissy Gilbert of Lampasas and Jo Hobbs of Lometa; and six grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today in the funeral home.

George Clay McWhorter
CLYDE -- George Clay McWhorter, 41, of Abilene and formerly of Clyde, died Wednesday in an Abilene hospital.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Ross Cemetery in Baird with the Rev. Riley Fugitt officiating, directed by Bailey Funeral Home.
Mr. McWhorter was born in Abilene and graduated from Clyde High School in 1974. He worked as a drilling superintendent for Pool Corp. in Ecuador and returned to Abilene in 1996 from Colorado City.
Survivors include two sons, Jurel Clay Scott of Abilene and Samuel ClayMcWhorter of Colorado City; his mother, Jewell Blakeney of Abilene; two sisters, Deborah Templeton of Hearne and Kathy Hambrick of Clyde; and six nieces and three nephews.

Ira 'Benny' Dickinson
SUMITON, Ala. -- Ira E. "Benny" Dickinson, 63, formerly of Abilene, died Oct. 9 at his home.
Services were held Oct. 12 in New Horizon Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Dora, Ala. with Howard Dunnaway and the Rev. Rick Peterson officiating. Burial was in McCormack Cemetery in Dora.
Mr. Dickinson was in the U.S. Air Force for 21 years until retiring in 1972 as a staff sergeant. He formerly was stationed at Dyess Air Force Base. He lived in Abilene from 1960-92 and worked as a carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for 15 years in Abilene. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Melba Young Dickinson of Sumiton; one sister, Virginia McCrary of Nauvoo, Ala.; three brothers, Lushion Dickinson of Gardendale, Ala., John Davis Dickinson of Adamsville, Ala., and Gurvis Dickinson of Jasper, Ala.; and several nieces and nephews.
