Charles Lamoin Wright
BLANKET -- Charles Lamoin Wright, 74, died Friday in a Brownwood hospital.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. today in Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Don Roath and Herman Merrett officiating. Burial will be in Lost Creek Cemetery.
He was born in Brownwood and married Bobbye Newton there in 1949. He was a lifetime resident of Brown County and an Army veteran of World War II. He spent his career teaching in the public schools of May, Zephyr, Blanket and other area towns.
Survivors include his wife of Blanket; two sons, Robert C. Wright of Groesbeck and Phillip Wright of Hondo; three grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
Memorials may be sent to the American Heart Association.

Jodie Lee Banks
BROWNWOOD -- Services for Jodie Lee Banks, 40, of Brownwood, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in Greater Faith Community Church, with Elder Aaron Blake officiating.
Burial will be in the Greenleaf Cemetery under direction of Heartland Funeral Home. He died Wednesday night at Brownwood Regional Hospital.
He was born in Brownwood, where he attended public school.
Survivors include one son, Jodie Kenya Duffie of Cameron; his parents, Richard and Louise Banks of Brownwood; four brothers, Richard Banks Jr., Ronnie Banks, Frank Banks and Ira Banks, all of Brownwood; two sisters, Rose Banks and Mary Banks, both of Brownwood; three sisters-in-law, Tonja Banks and Nadine Banks, both of Brownwood; and Christine Duffie of Temple; the mother of his son, Jessie Duffie of Temple; and two grandchildren.

Pansy Northcutt
COLORADO CITY -- Pansy Northcutt, 95, died Saturday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Kiker-Seale Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Bentley Gwen officiating. Burial will be in Spade Cemetery.
Mrs. Northcutt was born Sept. 22, 1902, in Rockford, Ala. She married Joe C. Northcutt in 1926 in Colorado City. He died in 1977. She was a member of the Oak Street Baptist Church and had lived in Colorado City since 1921.
Survivors include one stepdaughter, Mamie Hargrove of Colorado City; one stepson, Abbie Northcutt of Colorado City; and one nephew, Billy Carter of Colorado City.

W.A. "Dub" Hawkins
HAMLIN -- W.A. "Dub" Hawkins, 65, died Friday in a local hospital. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. today in First United Methodist Church with the Revs. Martin Encke and Howard Jones officiating. Burial will be in Hamlin East Cemetery directed by Foster-Adams Funeral Home.
Born in Sylvester, he graduated from McCaulley High School in 1948 and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean conflict. He attended McMurry College and Baylor University. He married Bonnie Beth Jones in 1955, and she died in 1970. He married Mary Otto McDuff in Anson on Nov. 26, 1970. Mr. Hawkins worked as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for 16-1/2 years, retiring in 1980.
He later worked for many years as service department manager manager for Albritton Motors in Hamlin. He operated a vehicle inspection station from 1982-87. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and also worked with the Boy Scouts of America for many years.
Survivors include his wife of Hamlin; two sons, Tim Hawkins of Lubbock and Marvin McDuff of Anson; one daughter, Mary Linda Guthrie of Abilene; one sister, Juanita Jayroe of Hamlin; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Geneva "Wendy" Carlton
LAKE STAMFORD -- Services for Geneva "Wendy" Carlton, 75, of Lake Stamford, will be at 2 p.m. today at Tankersley Funeral Chapel with the Rev. James Brigham officiating, assisted by John Wendeborn. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Carlton died Friday at her home.
Born in Sagerton, she married John "Chub" Carlton in 1942 in Stamford. He died in September. Mrs. Carlton was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Stamford, the Hobby Club at Sagerton, the VFW Auxiliary in Anson and the Sons of Herman Lodge in Sagerton. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include one daughter-in-law, Diane Carlton of Abilene; two brothers, J.C. Wendeborn of Sagerton and J.D. Wendeborn of Laredo; one sister, Ruby Carpenter of Stamford; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Nellie Rae Storms
STAMFORD -- Nellie Rae Storms, 93, died Saturday in a local nursing home. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Highland Memorial Cemetery in Stamford with the Rev. Jack Clark officiating, directed by Tankersley Funeral Home.
Born in Waco, she married Jim Storms in 1968 in Lampasas. He died in 1970. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church.
Survivors include Henry Fielder of Hollis, Okla., three daughters, Willie Marie (Polly) Tyler of Stamford; Doris Bryant of Houston, and Mrs. Otis Jackson of Bastrop; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Clyde M. Chambers
WESTBROOK -- Clyde M. Chambers, 76, died Friday in a Sweetwater hospital. Services will be at 3 p.m. today in First Baptist Church of Westbrook with the Rev. Jim Mosley and the Rev. Jackie Qualls officiating. Burial will be in Westbrook Cemetery under direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
Mr. Chambers was born at Cross Cut, and married Ruby Ragland in Brownwood in 1941. He was a retired pumper for American Petrofina. He was a World War II Army veteran and a member of First Baptist Church of Westbrook. He had been a resident of Mitchell County since 1959.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Barbara Bass of Lake Colorado City; Vickie Koch of Westbrook and Judy Hale of Westbrook; a son, Robert Chambers of Westbrook; a brother, Rex Chambers of Midland; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, one grandson and one great-granddaughter.

Frances Pine
Frances Pine, 79, of Abilene died Sunday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Faith, 5701 Hwy. 277 South, with T. Gerald Cates officiating, assisted by Randy Voorhees. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park.
Mrs. Pine was born in Fort Worth and moved to Abilene from Strawn in 1924. She worked as a bookkeeper at Abilene Sheet Metal for four years and for Albert A. McAllister for 19 years, retiring in 1980. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Bible Church. She married Arthur Pine in 1945 in Abilene; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include one son, Clifton Pine of Dallas; one daughter, Carol Ann Quain of Fort Worth; one brother, Edgar Lee Wood of Abilene; and four grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 149 N. Willis, Abilene 79603.
The family will be at the funeral home's 542 Hickory location from 7-8:30 p.m. today.
The body will be at 542 Hickory until Tuesday morning.

Henry Louis 'Pete' Barnes
WINTERS - Henry Louis "Pete" Barnes, 58, died Friday at his home.
The body was cremated. Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Winters Funeral Home Chapel with E.B. "Tott" McCown officiating.
Mr. Barnes was born in Big Spring and moved to the Winters area in 1951. He worked for Earl Roach Electronics for a number of years, purchasing the business in the early 1970s. He was a TV and radio technician and a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sons, Blaine Barnes and Zane Barnes, both of Abilene; two brothers, William Barnes and James Barnes, both of Wingate; three sisters, Edna Broadway and Eva Burton, both of Temple, and Addie Grumbles of Gorman; and one grandchild.
