Virginia Bell Greiner
BRECKENRIDGE - Virginia Bell Greiner, 79, died Wednesday in a Dallas hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Morehart Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Cecil Harper officiating. Burial will be in Breckenridge Cemetery.
Mrs. Greiner was born in Paris, Texas, and was a homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church and was the widow of G.B. Greiner Sr., whom she married in 1939 in Breckenridge.
Survivors include one son, G.B. Greiner Jr. of Dallas; three daughters, Nancy Chalker of Garland, Alicia Dunn of Dickinson and Judy Achemire of Okmulgee, Okla.; one brother, James Dowell of Abilene; two sisters, Billie Kime and Muriel Lethcoe, both of Breckenridge; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Breckenridge Library or Family Life Center at First Baptist Church and left at the funeral home.

Anita Hatcher
KILGORE - Anita Hatcher, 77, mother of an Abilene resident, died Tuesday at her home.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Henderson Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Henderson with the Rev. Scott Finley officiating, directed by Rader Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hatcher was born in Bridgeport, Ill., and moved to Kilgore in 1942. She married Joe Hatcher in 1944 and was a homemaker. She was a member of Laird Hill Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, of Kilgore; one son, Chris Hatcher of Culebra, Puerto Rico; one daughter, Jo Carol Spurlock of Abilene; two brothers, A.W. Stewart of Tulsa, Okla., and Fred Stewart of Lake Charles, La.; one sister, Kay McMahon of Tulsa, Okla.; and four grandchildren.

Leldon Arthur Hudson
GROOM - Leldon Arthur Hudson, 83, father of an Abilene resident, died Wednesday in Amarillo.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Groom First United Methodist Church with the Revs. Jerry Moore and Tom Moore officiating. Burial will be in Groom Cemetery, directed by Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon.
Mr. Hudson was born in Dryden, Okla., and lived in Dimmitt, Brownwood and Abilene before moving to Groom in 1952. He was a farmer, rancher and cattle broker for many years. He was a member of Groom Masonic Lodge and First United Methodist Church and was the widower of Betty Farley Hudson, whom he married in 1940 in Groom.
Survivors include one daughter, Jane Burroughs of Abilene; three sons, Jim Hudson of Austin, Thomas Hudson of Prairie Village, Kan., and Dr. Carl Hudson of Borger; one sister, Helen Dever of San Angelo; and five grandchildren.

Velma Rosette Debusk Henderson
COLEMAN - Velma Rosette Debusk Henderson, 89, lifelong Coleman County resident, died Wednesday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Walker Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Roger Hammonds officiating. Burial will be in Burkett Cemetery.
Mrs. Henderson was born in Burkett and was a stockfarmer. She was a member of Burkett Baptist Church and was the widow of Claud Debusk, whom she married in 1925 in Burkett; and Johnny Henderson, whom she married in 1977.
Survivors include one sister, Alice Edington of Albany; and several nieces and nephews.

Girlie Mae Walker
HASKELL - Girlie Mae Walker, 74, presser at Kay's Cleaners for 25 years, died Wednesday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Greater Independent Baptist Church with the Rev. John Lewis officiating. Burial will be in Willow Cemetery, directed by Holden-McCauley Funeral Directors.
Mrs. Walker was born in Paris, Texas, and was a homemaker. She was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church, where she sang solos.
Survivors include one daughter, Alicia Walker of Haskell; one son, Johnnie Walker of Haskell; three sisters, Effie Mae Grandsberry, Willie Mae Mims and Minnie Lee Blackman, all of Paris, Texas; and four grandchildren.

John-Jefferson Hilton Breeden
John-Jefferson Hilton Breeden, 14, freshman at Cooper High School, died Friday.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Crossroads Community Church with the Rev. Kevin York officiating. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. in Throckmorton Cemetery, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory.
John-Jefferson lived in Abilene most of his life and attended Crossroads Community Church.
Survivors include his father, Olen Breeden of Arkansas; his mother and stepfather, Kimberly and Bruce Copeland of Abilene; one sister, Jill Hudson of Abilene; his grandparents, Hilton and Dorothy Keeter of Throckmorton; his step grandparents, Thomas and Connie Copeland of Abilene, and Linda and Stanley Walton of Utica, Ohio; and two uncles.

Beth Marie Van Cleave
Beth Marie Van Cleave, 71, died Saturday at her home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Westgate Church of Christ with Terry McCormack and Tommy Shaver officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 5701 U.S. Hwy 277 South.
Mrs. Van Cleave was born in Abilene and graduated from Abilene High School. She attended Draughon's Business College and married William "Bill" Van Cleave in 1949. She was a member of Westgate Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, of Abilene; two sons, Ken Van Cleave and Bob Van Cleave, both of Abilene; one brother, Buddy Clark of Abilene; four sisters, Ann Willoughby and Norma Loudermilk, both of Abilene, Patsy Cooper of Houston and Lucille Byars of Stith; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Willie Belle Clements
Willie Belle Clements, 94, died Saturday in a local nursing home.
Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Monday in Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory, with the Rev. Rodney Watson officiating. Burial will be in Potosi Cemetery.
Mrs. Clements was born in Mart in McLennan County and moved to Taylor County in 1925. She moved to Ovalo in 1940 from Potosi and was the first telephone operator for Potosi. She moved to Abilene in 1965. She was a member of Lytle South Baptist Church and was the widow of Charlie W. Clements, whom she married in 1925 in Malone.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Clements of Arlington and Clifford Clements of Odessa; one daughter, Sybil Ramey of Abilene; one sister, Gertrude Parton of Huett; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Howard Eckert
Howard D. Eckert, 83, died Friday in a local nursing home.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory, with Dr. Cliff Stewart officiating. The body will be donated to science.
Mr. Eckert was born in Bronx, N.Y., and was a U.S. Army veteran. He worked for 40 years for Western Electric, a division of AT&T, and moved to Abilene in 1992 from Toms River, N.J. He was a Presbyterian and was the widower of Dorothy Eckert.
Survivors include one son, Daniel Eckert of Abilene; one sister, Jean Miller of Morristown, N.J.; and two grandchildren.
