Dorothy Vineyard
HERMLEIGH - Dorothy Vineyard, 63, died Saturday at a Midland hospital after a lengthy illness.
Services will be at 4 p.m. today at Hermleigh Church of Christ with Surry Gillum officiating. Burial will be in Hermleigh Cemetery, directed by Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home of Snyder.
Mrs. Vineyard was born in Fischer County and was a member of Hermleigh Church of Christ. She married Doug Vineyard in 1950 in Hermleigh.
Survivors include her husband, of Hermleigh; one daughter, Peggy Matherly of Midland; one son, Tommy Vineyard of Midland; four sisters, Janet Mason of Midland, Patsy Roe of Snyder and Jo Ann Rosser and Billie Whitmyer, both of Bloomington; and four grandchildren.

Olene Burns
BROWNWOOD - Olene K. Burns, 85, died Sunday at a local nursing home.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in May Cemetery with Dr. Norbert Peil officiating, directed by Davis-Morris Funeral Home.
Miss Burns was born in Brown County, where she lived all her life. She was a retired sales clerk with Levine's Department Store and attended Union Presbyterian Church for several years. She was a member of Salt Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sisters, Edith Burns Ford of May and Juanita Burns Spellman of Brownwood; two nieces, two great-nieces, two great-nephews and three great-great-nieces and -nephews.
Memorials may be made to Pearl Griffin Latch Key Program, c/o Union Presbyterian Church; or to Brown County Humane Society.
The family will be at the funeral home from 5:30-6:30 p.m. today.

Wanda Dorothy McVea
Wanda Dorothy McVea, 92, of Abilene died Sunday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Southern Hills Church of Christ Chapel with Mel Holt officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory.
Mrs. McVea was born in Gatlinburg, Tenn., and attended school in Huntsville, Ala. She moved to Abilene from Lawrenceburg, Tenn., and worked at Sunshine Nursing Home for five years. She was a homemaker and a member of Southern Hills Church of Christ. She married William E. Green in 1928 in Lawrenceburg. She married Arthur McVea in 1962 in Abilene. Both preceded her in death.
Survivors include one son, William Earl Green of Abilene.

Jim Wall
Jim R. Wall, 74, of Abilene died Monday at a local hospital.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Elmwood Memorial Park with the Rev. Jimmy Griffith officiating, directed by Allen-Korzenewski Funeral Home, 1443 N. 2nd.
Mr. Wall was born in Paiola, Okla., and moved to Abilene from Pauls Valley, Okla., in 1960. He was an Army Air Corps and Air Force veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict and was a retired bus driver for the city of Abilene. He was a Baptist and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars. He married Betty J. Woods in 1968 in Abilene.
Survivors include his wife, of Abilene; two sons, Jimmie Ray Wall and James Bradley Wall, both of Abilene; three daughters, Jannie Lorene Norris of Irving, Patricia Irene Pope of Fort Worth and LaWanda F. Hege of Abilene; two brothers, Bob Wall of Pauls Valley and Nathan Wall of Brownwood; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Oneta Lusby
ROGERS, Ark. - Oneta Lusby, 86, died Sunday at a local nursing home.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Abilene with the Revs. Charles Wiggins and Archie Eccols officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Abilene, directed by Rollins Funeral Home.
Mrs. Lusby was born in Britain, Tex., and moved to the Rogers area from Abilene in 1993. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Rogers. She was the widow of Clayton Lusby.
Survivors include two sons, Donald Lusby of Abilene and John Lusby of Phoenix, Ariz.; one daughter, Karen Wiggins of Rogers; one brother, Jim Carter of Pasadena; two sisters, Lorene Compton of Abilene and Carrie Lofland of Houston; and four grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Grace United Methodist Church in Rogers; or to the West Texas Rehabilitation Center.

Betty Guthrie Weeks
COMANCHE - Betty Guthrie Weeks, 83, a longtime resident of Proctor and Comanche, died Sunday in San Antonio.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hall & Sons Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Don Longoria officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Weeks was born in Texarkana, Tex., and was a member of East Side Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Darolyn "Jean" Worth and Beverly Ester, both of San Antonio; two brothers, William "Bill" Guthrie of Pasadena, Calif., and Jess Guthrie of Rockdale; one sister, Mary Armstrong of Arlington; her former husband of 43 years, J.C. "Buddy" Weeks of San Antonio; two grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Homebound Meal Program, Comanche Senior Citizens, East Side Baptist Church or to the donor's favorite charity.

Jeannie Rasberry Whitsell
SWEETWATER - Jeannie Rasberry Whitsell, 39, died Sunday in Sweetwater.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Belvieu Cemetery in Rotan with the Rev. Mickey Wagoner officiating, directed by Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Mrs. Whitsell was born in Hamlin and graduated from Roby High School in 1976. She attended Western Texas College and owned and operated a beauty shop in Loraine. She also was a dental assistant for Dr. Robert Hampton. She was a Baptist. She married Brice Whitsell in Princeton in June.
Survivors include her husband, of Lake Sweetwater; two daughters, Kelly Byrne of San Angelo and Marci Pinkerton of Sweetwater; one son, Cuatro Byrne of Sweetwater; two brothers, Rowdy Rasberry of Roby and Chad Templeton of Rotan; two sisters, Rachel Engel of Roby and Misty Bowen of San Angelo; her parents, Freddie Rasberry of Roby and Lou Ann Bowen of Rotan; her stepmother, Celia Rasberry of Roby; and grandparents Lee and Betty Rasberry of Roby.

Cora (Mrs. Bud) Wofford
COLEMAN - Cora (Mrs. Bud) Wofford, 94, died Saturday at a Brownwood hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Elm Street Church of Christ with James Bailey officiating. Burial will be in Coleman City Cemetery, directed by Henderson Funeral Home.
Mrs. Wofford was born in Madisonville, where she grew up and attended school. She moved to Coleman in 1920. She was a homemaker and had been a member of Brazos Street Church of Christ since 1922. She married John "Bud" Wofford in 1920 in Madisonville; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include three daughters, Frankie Simmons of Dayton, Donna Mack of Coleman and Rita Hairston of Brownwood; one son, Sammie Lee Wade Sr. of Los Angeles, Calif., and Sammie Lee Wade Jr. of Santa Anna, who they raised; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home from 6-7 p.m. today.

Billy Fred Jeffs
GORMAN - Billy Fred Jeffs, 68, died Monday at an Abilene hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Higginbotham Funeral Home Chapel with James Haynes officiating, assisted by Lavelle Haynes. Burial will be in Weaver Cemetery.
Mr. Jeffs was born in Gorman and worked for Smith Chevrolet for many years before going into ranching. He was a member of First United Methodist Church. He married Mary Evelyn Robertson in 1961 in Gorman.
Survivors include his wife, of Gorman; one son, Bud Jeffs of New Caney; one daughter, Terry Nickels of Glen Rose; and three grandchildren.
