Florence Decker
MUNDAY - Florence Decker, 93, died Friday in a Knox City hospital.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Goree Cemetery with Jeff Christian and the Rev. John Hall officiating, directed by McCauley-Smith Funeral Home.
Mrs. Decker was born in Livingston and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Church of Christ and was the widow of James C. Decker, whom she married in 1932 in Waurika, Okla.
Survivors include two daughters, Gypsy Lee McMullin of Blackwell and Ima Jean Brockett of Munday; one son, J.C. Decker Jr. of Odessa; two sisters, Ola Coffman of Munday and Pauline Howry of Yuma, Ariz.; six grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be sent to Goree Cemetery Association or a favorite charity.

Bonnie Younger Smith
BROWNWOOD - Bonnie Younger Smith, 88, of Irving and formerly of Brownwood, died Saturday in an Irving hospital.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Greenleaf Cemetery with the Rev. Lloyd Hagemeier officiating, directed by Davis-Morris Funeral Home.
Mrs. Smith was born in Guymon, Okla., and was a homemaker and a former school teacher. She lived in Big Spring before moving to Irving in 1983. She was a Methodist and was the widow of S.E. Smith, whom she married in 1935 in Sweetwater.
Survivors include one daughter, Glenna Hampton of Irving; two sons, George S. Smith of Big Spring and Dr. Chester Smith of Rockdale; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Hemerejildo Gonzales Sr.
Hemerejildo Gonzales Sr., 75, of Abilene died Saturday at a local hospital.
A prayer service will be at 7 p.m. today at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Vincent Pallotti Catholic Church with the Rev. Joe Uecker officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Gonzales was born in Elgin and moved to Abilene from Anson in 1945. He was a retired construction worker. He was a member of St. Vincent Catholic Church and an Army veteran. He married Dolores Sanchez in 1945 in Anson; she preceded him in death.
Survivors include four sons, George Gonzales and Adam Gonzales Sr., both of Abilene, and Hemerejildo Gonzales Jr. and Ricardo Gonzales, both of Austin; two daughters, Lydia Martinez and Lilia G. Aguiler, both of Abilene; three sisters, Juanita Cisneros, Gregoria Lozano and Augustina Garcia, all of Abilene; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
The family will be at 2249 Fannin.

Katherine Anderson
COLEMAN -- Katherine Anderson, 73, died Sunday at a local nursing home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Walker Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Jenkins officiating. Burial will be in Coleman Cemetery.
Mrs. Anderson was born in Coleman, where she lived all her life. She was a nurse's aide for 26 years and a member of Central Baptist Church. She married Alvie Anderson in 1942 in Coleman.
Survivors include her husband, of Coleman; her mother, Ruby Yates of Coleman; five daughters, Mary Love of Coleman, Allene Guffey of Mesilla Park, N.M., Joann Anderson of Coleman, Katy Harvey of Lake Brownwood and Jean Chacon of Las Cruces, N.M.; one son, A.J. Anderson of Coleman; four sisters, Dorothy Robbins of Stratford, Vermell White of Coleman, Verdell Armstrong of Portland, Ore., and Ruby June Elkins of Abilene; one brother, L.B. Yates Jr. of Houston; and four grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. today.

Clark Simpson Mundy
FORT WORTH -- Clark Simpson Mundy, 88, died Saturday at a North Richland Hills hospital.
Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Lucas Funeral Home Sylvania Chapel. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Rose Hill Cemetery in Merkel.
Mr. Mundy was born in Merkel and had lived in Tarrant County since 1942. He was a 50-year member of Riverside Baptist Church. He was secretary of the Retired Postal Employees Association. He was the widower of Vesta Mundy.
Survivors include two sons, Leland Hudson Mundy of Fort Worth and Bill Mundy of Arlington; one brother, Frank Keith Mundy of Abilene; three grandchildren, one great-grandson and several nephews.
The family will be at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. today.

James Stone
POST -- James W. Stone, 85, died Saturday at his home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Post Church of Christ with Homer Jones officiating, assisted by Paul Jones. Burial will be in Terrace Cemetery, directed by Justice-Mason Funeral Home.
Mr. Stone was born in Pilot Point and moved to Garza County in 1915. He was a member of the first graduating class of Post High School and farmed in Lynn and Garza counties. He was a member of Graham Chapel Church of Christ and had served on the Graham Chapel school board and Graham Chapel Co-Op Gin board. He married Mary Stanley in 1933; she preceded him in death.
Survivors include one son, Jerrel Stone of Tucson, Ariz.; four daughters, Mary Ann Brady of Abilene, Nona Eblen of Slaton, Leta McClendon of Crane and Kathy Dean of Capitan, N.M.; one brother, Dale Stone of Post; 18 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Cal Farley's Boys Ranch, Joe Arrington Cancer Center or Hospice of Lubbock.

Travis Green
HAMLIN -- Travis Green, 83, former school superintendent in McCaulley, died Saturday at a local hospital.
The body was cremated, directed by Foster-Adams Funeral Home. No services are planned.
Mr. Green was born in Mount Vernon and moved to Snyder as a child. He moved to McCaulley in 1951, where he was a school teacher and superintendent of schools from 1951-1974. He was a member of McCaulley Methodist Church and was a Mason. He married Mary Lois Vernon in 1935 in Snyder.
Survivors include his wife, of Hamlin; two sons, Melvin Curtis Green of Maryland and Kerry Green of McCaulley; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

ASPERMONT -- Adela Salazar Vasquez, 61, died Sunday at an Abilene hospital.
Mass will be held at 2 p.m. today at St. Mary's Catholic Church with the Rev. Johnrose Hayden officiating. Burial will be in Aspermont Cemetery, directed by McCoy Funeral Home.
Mrs. Vasquez was born in Granger. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and a longtime cook for Frazier's Restaurant.
Survivors include her mother, Olivia Salazar of Springtown; five daughters, Maria Swafford, Adelita Murguia and Nancy Murguia, all of Aspermont, Susan Hobsin of Dumas and Virginia Montano of Las Vegas, N.M.; four brothers, Grady Salazar of Aspermont and Manuel Salazar, Bennie Salazar and Sesario Salazar, all of Saginaw; three sisters, Mary Benavides of Snyder, Gloria Mendez of Springtown and Connie Arroyla of Fort Worth; and 16 grandchildren.

Ruby Kilburn
BROWNWOOD -- Ruby Kilburn, 66, of Bangs died Saturday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel with Mike Spencer officiating. Burial will be in Eastlawn Memorial Park.
Mrs. Kilburn was born in Mineral Wells and was retired from the Brownwood Independent School District. She had lived in Brownwood and Bangs since 1964 and was a member of Southside Baptist Church. She married Lester Kilburn in 1960 in El Paso; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include three sons, Johnny Stoker of Woodson, Dean Kilburn of Bangs and Bennie Wayne Kilburn of Breckenridge; two stepdaughters, Mary Sue Walker and Addie White, both of Amarillo; three brothers, Donald Earl Waldon of Amarillo, Bobby Ray Waldon of Seminole and Homer Lee Waldon of Haskell; two sisters, Donah (Mrs. R.B.) Lucore of Kamay and Marion Spoon of El Paso; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
