L.M. 'Dook' Jeter
HASKELL -- L.M. "Dook" Jeter, 80, self-employed gas station owner for 50 years, died Saturday in a local nursing home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Haskell First United Methodist Church with the Revs. Kenneth Blair and Shane Brue officiating. Burial will be in Willow Cemetery, directed by Holden-McCauley Funeral Directors.
Mr. Jeter was born in Center Point and married Dessa Lee in 1940 in Stamford. He served with the 35th Armored Division during World War II and was a farmer. He was a Methodist.
Survivors include one daughter, Patricia Ann Koch of Cincinnati; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

W.C. 'Dub' Taylor
STAMFORD -- W.C. "Dub" Taylor, 82, of Benbrook and formerly of Stamford, died Saturday in a Benbrook nursing home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Tankersley Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Bill Hindman and John Erving officiating. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Taylor was born in Avoca and married Olga Lieb in 1938 in Oklahoma. He served with the U.S. Army Air Corps in the Pacific during World War II. He was a retired oil and landman and was a Methodist.
Survivors include his wife, of Benbrook; one daughter, Judith Smith of Fort Worth; one sister, Penny Cantrel of Lubbock; and one grandchild.

Ina May Pricer
COLEMAN -- Ina May Pricer, 90, of Crawford and formerly of Coleman, died Saturday in a Waco hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Charles Sheffield officiating. Burial will be in Coleman Cemetery.
Mrs. Pricer was born in Holder in Brown County, where she attended school, and lived in Coleman and Brown County for many years. She earned a teaching certificate from Daniel Baker College, now Howard Payne University, and taught school for 13 years at Comal, New Central, Anderson, Whon, Indian Creek, Williams and Scranton. She later worked as a cashier at Piggly Wiggly in Santa Anna and also was employed by nursing homes in Coleman and Bangs. She lived in Anderson in Coleman County before moving to Burkett in 1949, Bangs in 1971 and Crawford in 1990. She was a former member of the Holder Quilting Club and Home Demonstration Club. She was a church song leader and Sunday school teacher, and was a member of Canaan Baptist Church in Crawford. She was the widow of Joe Bailey Pricer, whom she married in 1940 in Coleman.
Survivors include one daughter, Sandra Bruton of Coleman; one son, John Pricer of Crawford; three grandchildren; four step grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and 10 step great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Ervin Ewalt Pueschel
STAMFORD -- Ervin Pueschel, 71, died Friday in an Abilene hospital.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Highland Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Kent Wallace officiating, directed by Tankersley Funeral Home.
Mr. Pueschel was born in Haskell County and was a World War II veteran. He married Joyce Turnbow in 1946 in Sagerton and farmed and ranched for many years. He also drove a truck for Mistletoe Transit for 15 years. He was a member of IBBA Brangus Association, Sons of Herman Lodge and Christ Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife, of Stamford; one son, Mike Pueschel of Tuscola; one brother, Gus Pueschel of Denver; three sisters, Adele Grogan of Athens, Texas, and Erna Peiser and Leona Seelig, both of Haskell; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Bonnie Irene Tomlinson
BALLINGER -- Bonnie Irene Tomlinson, 89, died Saturday in a local nursing home.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today in Rains-Seale Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dale Schultz officiating. Burial will be in Old Runnels Cemetery.
Mrs. Tomlinson was born in Runnels County and graduated from Winters High School. She worked at Lintz Department Store in Ballinger and, later, for Stones Photography. She also was a homemaker. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and was the widow of Luther D. Tomlinson, whom she married in 1931 in Norton.
Survivors include one sister, Flora Jackson of Fulton, Calif.; two nieces and three nephews; and one cousin.

Morris Morales
SWEETWATER -- Morris Morales, 68, died Saturday in an Abilene hospital.
Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. today in Weathersbee Funeral Home Chapel in Rotan. Mass will be at 3 p.m. Monday in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rotan with the Rev. Glenrose Hayden officiating. Burial will be in Rotan Cemetery.
Mr. Morales was born in Roby and lived in Sweetwater most of his life. He worked in the cotton industry, including at the cotton compress, and married Juanita Castillo in 1993 in Sweetwater. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, of Sweetwater; three stepsons, C.P. Arcate, Arthur Arcate and Raymond Saldivar, all of Sweetwater; one stepdaughter, Cynthia Arcate of California; and several nephews and nieces.

Juan 'John' Valdez
Juan "John" Valdez, 58, of Abilene died Friday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Faith, 5701 Hwy. 277 South, with the Rev. Sam Matta officiating. Burial will be in Elliott-Hamil Garden of Memories.
Mr. Valdez was born in Hutto, where he graduated from high school. He was employed by Joe T. Smith Trucking in Hawley and PLOOF Trucking. He was groundskeeper at Hawley Cemetery and a member of Colorado City Baptist Church. He married Simona Perez in Dunn in 1959.
Survivors include his wife, of Abilene; two sons, Johnny Valdez of Abilene and Jerry Valdez of Breckenridge; four daughters, Dolores Valdez, Margie Medina, Rosie Hermosillo and Denise Valdez, all of Abilene; and seven grandchildren.

Richard Fenton Williams
Richard Fenton Williams, 75, died Friday at his home in Abilene.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory. Burial will be in Mount Olive Cemetery in Big Spring.
Mr. Williams was born in Bronte and had lived in Abilene since 1978. He attended Hardin-Simmons University and retired from Santa Fe Railroad after 35 years. He was a member of Pioneer Drive Baptist Church and was an Army veteran. He married Allene Wilson Williams in 1958 in Kermit; she preceded him in death.
Survivors include one stepson, Tom Clark West of Seminole; one stepdaughter, Beverly Valliant of Sonora; four stepgrandchildren and four step great-grandchildren.

Lester 'Red' Cochran
CLYDE -- Lester J. "Red" Cochran, 68, died Saturday at an Abilene hospital.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles Morgan officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park in Abilene, directed by Bailey Funeral Home.
Mr. Cochran was born in Merkel and moved to Clyde from Abilene in 1990. He was a retired oil field worker and a member of First Assembly of God Church in Clyde. He married Cherry Goza in 1950 in Sweetwater.
Survivors include his wife, of Clyde; one son, Les Cochran of San Antonio; one daughter, Sheila Maxwell of Abilene; four brothers, Cleburne Cochran of Grand Prairie, Gene Cochran of Merkel, Ralph Cochran of View and Larry Cochran of California; two sisters, Betty Berryman and Eva Pechacek, both of Clyde; and three grandchildren.
