Joe Wallace Ely
HAMLIN -- Joe Wallace Ely, 77, lifelong Jones County resident, died Monday in an Abilene hospital.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today in Foster-Adams Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Brigham officiating. Burial will be in Hamlin Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Ely was born in Noodle and married Louise Jenkins in 1966 in Aspermont. He worked in the oil field and was a farmer. He was a Methodist.
Survivors include his wife, of Hamlin; one daughter, Janice Dominey of Slaton; two sisters, Neva Chancey of Abilene and Cleta Black of Hamlin; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Eula Wright
EASTLAND -- Eula Wright, 91, died Monday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Rex Boggs officiating. Burial will be in Eastland City Cemetery.
Mrs. Wright was born in Lineville, Ala., and attended school in Alabama. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Daugherty Street Church of Christ and was the widow of William Leroy Wright, whom she married in 1924 in La Grange, Ga.
Survivors include one son, Fred L. Wright of Thompson Falls, Mont.; four daughters, Mary Jeffus of San Antonio, Jane Lenz of Spokane, Wash., Virginia Ogden of St. Charles, Mo., and Nancy Trout of Eastland; one sister, Jewel Worthy of Anniston, Ala.; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4:30-6:30 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Martin Sonny Cutcher
COLEMAN -- Martin Sonny Cutcher, 65, died Monday in a local hospital.
Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. today in Coleman City Cemetery with the Rev. David Jenkins officiating, directed by Walker Funeral Home.
Mr. Cutcher was born in Dallas and moved to Odessa in 1949. He was a Korean conflict veteran. He married Barbara Schroeder in 1982 in Odessa and moved to Coleman in 1989. He was a retired mechanic and oilfield worker.
Survivors include his wife, of Coleman; one stepdaughter, Lauri French of Coleman; one son, Martin Allen Cutcher of Athens, Texas; and one grandchild.

Rolland Bert Fuller
EASTLAND -- Rolland Bert Fuller, 86, of Roundup, Mont., died Wednesday in Billings, Mont. from complications of diabetes.
Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Eastland Cemetery, directed by Edwards Funeral Home.
Mr. Fuller was born in Dwight, Ill., and attended school in Low P.Q., Canada; Orion, Mich.; and Iraan. He served with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Catskill during World War II and worked for Humble Oil Co. He was a jeweler for 45 years and owned and operated jewelry stores in Carrollton and, later, Roundup, Mont. He married Gladys O. Turner in 1971 and was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Masons, Shriners and Oddfellows.
Survivors include his wife, of Roundup, Mont.; four sons, James Douglas Fuller and Richard Allan Fuller, both of Dallas, Samuel Bert Fuller of Kansas City, Mo., and Bill Laurence Ferguson of Ashland, Ore.; 19 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be sent to Roundup Memorial Hospital in Roundup, Mont. or a favorite charity.
Visitation will be from 12:30-1:15 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.

Stewart Slatton
CISCO -- Stewart A. Slatton, 77, died Tuesday in an Eastland hospital.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Kimbrough Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gary Turner officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
Mr. Slatton was born in Scranton and married Laverne Lenz in 1939 in Cisco. He served with the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and worked as a lineman for West Texas Utilities. He later was an electrical superintendent for the city of Sonora and also was employed by the city of Lampasas and Kamay Electric in Kamay. He was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, of Cisco; two sons, Jerry Slatton of Buda and Larry Slatton of Burleson; two daughters, Brenda Clack of Electra and Joy Vogel of Colonial Heights, Va.; one brother, H.S. "Pete" Slatton of Wichita Falls; three sisters, Eunice Penn and Catherine McCrary, both of Cisco, and Mary Sneed of Eastland; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Eldon 'Pete' Andrews
LORAINE -- Eldon L. "Pete" Andrews, 82, died Tuesday in a Colorado City nursing home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Kiker-Seale Funeral Home Chapel in Colorado City with the Rev. Dan Marshall officiating. Burial will be in Loraine Cemetery.
Mr. Andrews was born in Tucumcari, N.M., and moved to Mitchell County in 1948. He married Jane Key in 1956 in Tucumcari, N.M., and was a retired rancher and farmer. He was a Methodist.
Survivors include his wife, of Loraine; one daughter, Mary Carolyn Simpson of Grand Junction, Colo.; five sons, Eldon K. "Pete" Andrews of Sweetwater, Darrell Andrews of Loraine, Howard Lewis Andrews of Dumas, Dennis Worrell of San Angelo and Harold Thomas Andrews of Dalhart; one sister, Maxine Smith of Tucumcari, N.M.; 14 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Tom Henry
BIG SPRING -- Tom Henry, 60, Big Spring educator for 37 years until retiring in 1994 due to ill health, died Monday in Abilene.
Services will be at 4 p.m. today in Big Spring First United Methodist Church with Dr. Ed Williamson officiating. Burial will be in Trinity Memorial Park, directed by Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.
Mr. Henry was born in San Angelo and graduated from Forsan High School. He earned both his bachelor's and master's degrees from North Texas State University in Denton and was a teacher, principal, assistant superintendent and coach in the Big Spring school system. He married Jackie Sue Hancock in 1986 in Big Spring. He was a director of the YMCA and Salvation Army and was a member of Rotary Club and First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, of Big Spring; two uncles; three nephews; and several cousins.

Mattie Mae Wolfe
GORDON -- Mattie Mae Wolfe, 85, lifelong area resident, died Tuesday in a Stephenville hospital.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Gordon First Baptist Church with the Rev. Randy Smith officiating. Burial will be in Blue Flat Cemetery near Gordon, directed by Edwards Funeral Home of Strawn.
Mrs. Wolfe was born in Gordon and married Hollis L. Wolfe in 1939 in Mineral Wells. She was a homemaker. She was a member and past worthy matron of Gordon Chapter 788, Order of the Eastern Star; and also was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Glenda Driskill of Stephenville; four sons, Edward Wolfe of Stephenville, Weldon Wolfe of Waco, Johnny Wolfe of Dublin and Judson Wolfe of San Antonio; one sister, LaVern Warren of Stephenville; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The body will be at the church at 11 a.m. Thursday.

Eddie Ray Walls
BROWNWOOD -- Eddie Ray Walls, 51, died Monday in a local hospital.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Blue Ridge Cemetery, directed by Heartland Funeral Home of Early.
Mr. Walls was born in Blue Ridge and received a Purple Heart while serving in the military. He worked as a truck driver and was a Baptist.
Survivors include four sons, Jessie R. Walls, Michael L. Walls and Jimmy G. Walls, all of Brownwood, and Jerry L. Walls of Alabama; five brothers, Cotton Walls of Blue Ridge, Ernie Walls of McKinney, J.W. Walls of Bonham, Leon Walls of Lockney and Willie Walls of Cumby; two sisters, Dora Knight of Blue Ridge and Patsy Greenwood of Haltom City; and 15 grandchildren.
