Pearl E. Aaron
LAKE BROWNWOOD -- Pearl E. Aaron, 78, died Saturday at her home.
Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. in Heartland Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. S.L. Yielding officiating. Burial will follow in Rising Star Cemetery, directed by Heartland Funeral Home.
Mrs. Aaron was born in Waxahachie and moved to Brown County in 1965. She was a self-employed seamstress. Her husband, Earl Aaron, preceded her in death.
Survivors include three daughters, Joann Futrell, Evelyn Romines and Jackie Berryman, all of Lake Brownwood; one brother, N.L. Green of Stephenville; two sisters, Dolly Burcham of Big Spring and Ida Franklin of Hobbs, N.M.; 14 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials can be made to Lakeview Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

William Thomas "Tommy" Diltz
MERKEL -- William Thomas "Tommy" Diltz, 70, lifelong Merkel resident, died Saturday in Abilene.
Services will be Monday at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Griffith officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, directed by Starbuck Funeral Home.
Mr. Dlitz was born in Merkel and graduated from Merkel High School. He married Christine Martin in 1951, and was a farmer and fuel truck driver. He was employed by H.W. Lemens Inc. for 30 years as an office manager. He also was a manager and coach for Merkel Little League for several years.
Survivors include his wife; one son, Billy Diltz of Abilene; two daughters, Donna Kay Brnovak of Merkel and Judy Lyn Guynes of Throckmorton; three sisters, Dorris Coats of Big Spring, Mickey Winter of Abilene and Miriam "Dutchie" Wright of Lubbock; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be today 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Lloyd Thomas Moore
COLORADO CITY -- Lloyd Thomas Moore, 69, of Brady and formerly of Colorado City, died Friday in Brady.
Graveside services will be today at 2 p.m. in Colorado City Cemetery with the Rev. John Taylor officiating, directed by Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
Mr. Moore was born in Paris, Texas, and was a World War II veteran. He married Ruby Hulme in 1946 in Abilene and worked as a carpenter. He moved to Brady in 1993 from Colorado City.
Survivors include his wife, of Archer City; two daughters, Meradith Mooney of Archer City and Suzette Meador of Decatur; one son, Wayland Moore of Colorado City; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.T. Moore of Colorado City; two sisters, Helen Crockett of Bridgeport and Ann Smith of San Angelo; two brothers, Raymond Moore of Artesia, N.M., and Kenneth Moore of Monahans; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. in the funeral home.

Mary Imogene Burrus
Mary Imogene Burrus, 86, of Abilene died Saturday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Lytle South Baptist Church with the Rev. James R. McLeod officiating, assisted by the Rev. Rodney Watson and Joel Slack. Burial will be in Albany Cemetery in Albany, directed by Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy. 277 South.
Mrs. Burrus was born in Mills County and was a nurse for more than 20 years. She was a volunteer grandparent at Abilene State School, a member of Lytle South Baptist Church and a lifetime member of Texas Cowboy Reunion. She married Ulysses "Gene" Burrus in 1981 in Oklahoma City, Okla.
Survivors include her husband, of Abilene; one daughter, Ramona Mims of Abilene; one brother, Glen Cox of Haskell; two sisters, Savonne Giddens of Midland and Carlene Craver of Breckenridge; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Maria Luisa Garcia
Maria Luisa Garcia, 71, died Saturday at a local hospital.
A prayer service will be at 8 p.m. today at North's Funeral Home Chapel, 242 Orange. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Francis Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph Uecker officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery.
Mrs. Garcia was born in Mexico and moved to San Antonio in 1957 and to Abilene in 1960. The family operated an El Fenix Cafe for 62 years. She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church. She married Domingo Garcia in 1962 in Abilene.
Survivors include one son, Domingo Ruiz Garcia of Abilene; two stepsons, Cleto Garcia and Ruben Garcia, both of Houston; four daughters, Teresa G. Sanchez of Austin and Olivia Velez, Dora A. Silva and Maria Luisa Salazar, all of Abilene; six stepdaughters, Alicia Garcia and Estella Moreno, both of Abilene, and Esther Casillas, Belia Ovalle, Becky Osorio and Virginia Taylor, all of Houston; five sisters, Rebecca Cantu of San Antonio, Enedina Ruiz of Nueva Laredo, Mexico, and Carmen Lara, Florelia Duran and Juanita Duran, all of Mexico City, Mexico; three brothers, Alejanero Ruiz, Javier Duran and Fidel Duran, all of Guanajuato, Mexico; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Margie Marie Campbell
Margie Marie Campbell, 85, died Sunday at a local nursing home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory, with the Revs. Jerry Joplin and Riley Fugitt officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Campbell was born in Hodges and attended school in Willow Creek and Hodges. She was retired after 16 years with Supreme Cleaners. She was a Baptist and was active with Foster Grandparents at Abilene State School. She married Robert Campbell in 1929 in Abilene; he preceded her in death. She married C.J. Campell in 1986.
Survivors include her husband, of Abilene; two daughters, Mrs. Earl ''Ruby" Miller of Abilene and Mrs. Garves "Jo" Yates of Clyde; two stepsons, Ronnie Campbell of Clyde and Mike Campbell of Marfa; one stepdaughter, Sharon Jobe of Putnam; four sisters, Pauline Chittum of Clyde, Melba Carlisle of Joshua, Frances Valdez of Grove Beach, Calif., and Shirley Estes of Upland, Calif.; one brother, James Copeland of Sun City; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home from 6:30-8 p.m. today.

Clarence Daniel Fielder
Clarence Daniel Fielder, 89, died Saturday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory, with Dr. Eddie Sharp officiating, assisted by Dr. Henry Speck. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park.
Mr. Fielder was born in Abilene and attended Abilene schools, graduating from Abilene High School in 1926. He attended Abilene Christian College and was a member of University Church of Christ. He was a retired wholesale businessman, having been a partner in McCarty-Fielder Cigar Company for 21 years. After selling to his partner in 1969, he continued to work in the business. He helped build Lone Star, Rose Park and Nelson Park baseball fields. He married Ola Marie Sewell in 1936 in Abilene.
Survivors include his wife of the home; one son, Charles Robert Fielder of Dallas; one brother, James Willis Fielder of Austin; one granddaughter, one great-grandson and several nieces and nephews.

Glenda Montgomery Lawhead
Glenda Montgomery Lawhead, 56, of Abilene died Saturday at her home.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory, with the Rev. Don Cauble officiating. Burial will be in Buffalo Gap Cemetery.
Mrs. Lawhead was born in Abilene, where she lived all her life. She had been a trainer at Abilene State School and was a Baptist. She was the widow of Charles Jerry Montgomery.
Survivors include her mother, Iva Lee Sutton of Abilene; her husband, Jerry Lawhead of Abilene; four daughters, Dora Montgomery and Cheryl Fields, both of Abilene, Jerrie Lynn Muir and Brenda Gerwel of Denver, Colo.; one stepson, Gerald Lawhead Jr. of Marshall, Mich.; three brothers, Ollie Lee Sutton, Royce Sutton and Ray Sutton, all of Abilene; three sisters, Betty Winters of Idabel, Okla., Kay Horton of Clyde and Iva Nell Dillingham of Abilene; and 10 grandchildren.

The family will be at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday.

Jobe Denton
KNOX CITY - Jobe V. Denton, 92, died Saturday at an Abilene nursing home after a lengthy illness.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. today in Knox City Cemetery with the Rev. John Gillispie officiating, directed by Smith Funeral Home.
Mr. Denton was born in Knox County and lived in Knox City all his life. He was a farmer and a member of First Baptist Church. He married Vera Yarbrough in 1930 in Hollis, Okla.; she preceded him in death.
Survivors include three daughters, Wanda Carol Lemoine of Granbury, Jo Smith of Midland and Pat Mendenhall of Abilene; two brothers, Morris Denton of Knox City and J.J. Denton of Arlington; four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
