Jessie Louvenia Burns
Jessie Louvenia Burns, 65, of Abilene died Monday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory, with the Rev. John Wade officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Burns was born in Jones County and graduated from Anson High School. She graduated from Hendrick School of Nursing as a licensed vocational nurse and retired from Hendrick Medical Center. She was a member of Elmwood Baptist Church. She married J.T. Burns in 1947 in Abilene.
Survivors include her husband, of Abilene; two sons, Jackie Burns of Abilene and Jerry Dale Burns of Odessa; her father, Jessie Marvin Lewis of Anson; two sisters, Bertie Jane Kinard of Anson and Sammie Kay Donaldson of Tye; five grandchildren and four stepgrandchildren.

Dolores Hester
Dolores Hester, 74, died Monday at a local hospital.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Buffalo Gap Cemetery with the Rev. Herbert Wood officiating, directed by North's Funeral Home, 242 Orange.
Mrs. Hester was born in Joplin, Mo., and moved to San Angelo in 1929. She lived in Houston from 1968-1974 and moved to Abilene in 1975. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She married Roy B. Hester in 1967 in Dallas.
Survivors include her husband, of Abilene; one son, Justin Ray Richards Sr. of Andrews; one daughter, Kay Dyer of Wallace; five grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren, three great-grandchildren and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
The family will be at 1274 S. LaSalle.

Ralph Brantner
STRATFORD - Ralph Brantner, 72, of Goodwell, Okla., died Nov. 28 near Stratford.
Services were Thursday at the Church of Christ with Fred Riley Jr. officiating, assisted by Jon Heatwole. Graveside services were Friday in Santa Fe, N.M., National Cemetery, directed by Morrison Funeral Directors of Dumas.
Mr. Brantner was born in Redmud (Kent County) and was a longtime resident of the Stratford and Panhandle areas. He lived in the Abilene area for many years and moved to Goodwell in August. He was a cowboy and a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Texhoma, Okla.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon Brantner of Goodwell; two daughters, Rebecca Leonard of New Ulm, Minn., and Charylene Smith of Keyes, Okla.; his mother, Marie Brantner of Spur; three sisters, Irene Lemley of Houston, Doris Maness of Conway, Ark., and Joyce Wooten of Mexia; one brother, Ronnie Brantner of Hohenwald, Tenn.; two stepsons, Marty Butler of Westbrook, Va., and Judd Butler of Stratford; two grandchildren and four stepgrandchildren.

Paul Woodie Branham
WINTERS - Paul Woodie Branham, 57, of San Angelo died Sunday at a San Angelo hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Winters Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Doyle Pruitt officiating. Burial will be in Bradshaw Cemetery.
Mr. Branham was born in Rockhouse, Ky., and came to Texas as a young man. He was a 20-year Army veteran, including service in the Vietnam War. He was a security guard for TSSI and was a Baptist. He married Shirley Jo Lusk in 1961 in Gatesville; she preceded him in death.
Survivors include his mother, Opal Mayhew of Christianburg, Va.; three sons, Paul Branham of Norfolk, Va., Perry Branham of Haysville, Kan., and Robert Branham of Midland; two daughters, Billie Fort of Abilene and Sarah Haby of San Angelo; 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Richard 'Rich' Guzinski
LOUP CITY, Neb. - Richard P. "Rich" Guzinski, 50, died Sunday in Loup City.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Josaphat's Catholic Church with the Rev. Reggie Urban officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, directed by Peters Funeral Home.
Mr. Guzinski was born in Loup City and attended St. Josaphat's Parochial School and Loup City Public School, graduating in 1966. He attended Peru State College and graduated from Kearney State College in 1971. He worked for Redman Mobile Homes in Grand Island, Neb., Meridian, Miss., and Mebane, N.C. He worked for U.S. Brass in Abilene for 20 years, where he also coached Little League and Senior League baseball. At the time of his death, he was vice president of materials for Wolverine Brass in Conway, S.C. He returned to Loup City in October. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church of Garden City, S.C., and St. Josaphat's Catholic Church in Loup City. He was a former member of Shady Oaks Golf Club in Clyde. He married Cynthia "Cindy" Tomlins in 1967 in Loup City.
Survivors include his wife of Loup City; one daughter, Jill Guzinski of Loup City; one son, Pat Guzinski of St. Louis, Mo.; his parents, Alonzo and Mary Guzinski of Loup City; one brother, Bob Guzinski of Tekamah, Neb.; and two sisters, Carol Kuszak and Marge Bauhard, both of Loup City.
Memorials may be made to the American Brain Tumor Association.
The family will be at the funeral home from 3-5 p.m. Wednesday and at the church from 6-8 p.m.

Richard 'Hungry' Spencer
CROSS PLAINS - Richard W. "Hungry" Spencer, 84, died Monday at an Abilene hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Higginbotham Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Richard Chaffin officiating. Burial will be in Cottonwood Cemetery.
Mr. Spencer was born in Brown County and worked for Shell Pipe Line for 35 years. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He married Beulah Irene (Clifton) Spencer in 1934; she preceded him in death. He married Clara Nell McDermett in 1974.
Survivors include his wife, of Cross Plains; two sons, R.W. Spencer II of Odessa and David Spencer of Paducah, Ky.; one daughter, Glenda Weaver of Abilene; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

W. Lee Brown
BANGS - W. Lee Brown, 90, died Monday at a local nursing home.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Mukewater Cemetery with the Rev. Pat McClatchy officiating, directed by Bangs Funeral Home.
Mr. Brown was born in Cleburne and had lived in Bangs for 68 years. He was former water superintendent of Bangs, a self-employed electrician and a former Bangs Independent School District bus driver. He was a member of First Baptist Church. He married Medina Rhodes in 1932 in Bangs; she preceded him in death.
Survivors include one daughter, Gail Whiteside of Bangs; one son, Dennis Brown of Victoria; four sisters, Ruby Greer and Arlene Carlile, both of Kopperl, Littie Vickers of Abilene and Georgia Kelly of Houma, La.; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home from 6:30-7:30 p.m. today.

Dr. Arthur Otto Brink
COLEMAN - Services for Dr. Arthur Otto Brink, 78, former city council member and mayor, will be at 2 p.m. today at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Reed Justus officiating, assisted by the Rev. Lloyd Hagemeier. Services will be directed by Stevens Funeral Home.
Dr. Brink was born in Waco and grew up there, in Eastland County and the Burkett community in Coleman County. He attended Tarleton Junior College, Baylor University and the University of Texas Dental School. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He started a dental practice in Coleman in 1951; after retiring, he served in Denver City for 1-1/2 years. He was elected to the Coleman City Council in 1962. He served on the hospital board of trustees and as commissioner of the Coleman Housing Authority, which he served from 1969-1997. He served on several committees and as chairman of the Administrative Board of First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Myrna Brink of Coleman; one son, John Arthur Brink of Allen; two stepdaughters, Fredda White of Reno, Nev., and Tonna DeMaet of Santa Fe, Tex.; two sisters, Nola (Mrs. Jack) Everett of Huntsville and Jana Thomas of Pasadena; two brothers, Eddie Brink of Austin and John Brink of Pasadena; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society; or to the Coleman Public Library, 400 Commercial Ave., Coleman 76834.

Tressie Pearl Duke Moneyhun
COLEMAN - Tressie Pearl Duke Moneyhun, 84, died Monday at a local hospital.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today in Coleman Cemetery with the Rev. Paul Smith officiating, directed by Stevens Funeral Home.
Mrs. Moneyhun was born in Eastland County and moved to Coleman County in 1917. She attended school at Loss Creek. She was a nurse's aide at Holiday Hill for several years and was a member of Community Baptist Church. She married Donald Moneyhun in 1932 in Coleman; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include one daughter, Ginger Moneyhun Ransberger of Coleman; and three grandchildren.
