Eris Mallow
BROWNWOOD - Eris Mallow, 84, died Monday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel with Ted Kell officiating. Burial will be in Eastlawn Memorial Park.
Mrs. Mallow was born in Brownwood, where she lived all her life. She was a retired bookkeeper and a member of Austin Avenue Church of Christ. She married Roy Mallow in 1929 in Brownwood; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons, James Mallow of Brady and Joe Mallow of Brownwood; one sister, Irma McDonough of Fort Worth; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ruby Mae Parmer
CISCO - Ruby Mae Parmer, 83, of San Antonio and formerly of Cisco, died Monday in San Antonio.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Pleasant Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Chris Craig officiating, directed by Kimbrough Funeral Home.
Mrs. Parmer was born in Buffalo and was a seamstress for Town & Country Fashions in San Antonio. She was a member of Order of Eastern Star and the Lutheran church.
Survivors include one daughter, Darlene Robison of San Antonio; one brother, Clifford Smith of Cisco; one sister, Gladys Barrett of Cisco; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Lena Feagan
ROTAN - Lena Feagan, 93, died Monday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Weathersbee Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Werth Mayes officiating. Burial will be in Belvieu Cemetery.
Mrs. Feagan was born in the Sublett community in Tarrant County. She had lived in Fisher County since 1931. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church. She married Earl Feagan in 1919 in Comanche; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include two daughters, Ella Faye Eaton and Dora Lee Rushing May, both of Rotan; one son, Samuel Earl Feagan of Sweetwater; one special daughter, Mayrene Morrow of Rotan; 15 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Ida Kathryn Williams
Ida Kathryn Williams, 68, died Tuesday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Wylie Baptist Church with the Rev. Michael O. Patterson officiating. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. in City of Lubbock Cemetery, directed by North's Funeral Home, 4002 Buffalo Gap Road.
Mrs. Williams was born in Blackwell and graduated from Odessa High School in 1947. She attended business college and worked for National Car Loading, both in Lubbock. She married Eugene Williams in 1950 and moved to Abilene in 1965. She co-chaired the hobbies division of the West Texas Fair. She worked in the library, Sunday school department and Vacation Bible School, all at Wylie Baptist Church. She also sang in the church choir and, for 10 years, in the church's Living Christmas Tree production.
Survivors include her husband, of Abilene; three sons, David Williams of Abilene, Carl Williams of Bedford and Jeff Williams of Georgia; two brothers, Delbert Brandon and Courtney Brandon, both of Colorado; and eight grandchildren.

Earl Hughes
Earl D. Hughes, 85, formerly of Carlsbad, N.M., died Tuesday in a local nursing home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in First Baptist Church in Carlsbad, N.M. with the Rev. Bob Bacon officiating. Burial will be in Carlsbad Cemetery, directed by Denton-Funchess Funeral Home of Carlsbad. Local arrangements are being made by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory.
Mr. Hughes was born in Lea County, N.M., and graduated from Carlsbad High School in Carlsbad, N.M. He was a self-employed carpenter and contractor in both Alvin and Carlsbad, N.M. He formerly was a deacon and, for 50 years, taught Sunday school, both at First Baptist Church in Carlsbad, N.M. He moved to Abilene 3-1/2 years ago. He was a member of Clyde First Baptist Church and was the widower of Ruth Fridge Hughes, whom he married in 1936 in Carlsbad, N.M.
Survivors include one son, Edward Richard Hughes of Clovis, Calif.; one daughter, Elaine Kirkpatrick of Abilene; one brother, Seth A. Hughes of Schertz; one sister, Myrtle Pope of Carlsbad, N.M.; and two grandchildren.

Tyler David Byers
Trent Davis Byers and Tyler David Byers, infant twin sons of Joel Byers and Amy Burns of Abilene, died Monday in a local hospital.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today in Elliott-Hamil Garden of Memories with Steve Ridgell officiating, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory.
Other survivors include one sister, Taelor Burns of Abilene; their paternal grandfather, Michael Byers of Abilene; their maternal grandparents, Jack and Kathye Pennington of Wichita Falls, and David and Belinda McCarley of Lake Coleman; and one aunt and two uncles.

Clyde Wheeler
BRECKENRIDGE -- Clyde A. Wheeler, 28, of Abilene, died Saturday from injuries received in an automobile accident near Breckenridge.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Breckenridge Cemetery with Charles Kuhn officiating, directed by Melton Funeral Home.
Mr. Wheeler was born in Aspermont and worked as a tile setter. He was enrolled, at the time of his death, in a program at Serenity House in Abilene to become a drug counselor.
Survivors include his fiancee, Mary Downing of Abilene; his parents, Judy Cowan of Breckenridge and Billy Frank Wheeler of Abilene; his stepfather, Jim Stultz of Breckenridge; one sister, Lisa Garrett of Rendon; four brothers, Randy Jones of Albany, Tony Wheeler and Jimmy Stultz III, both of Breckenridge, and Zachary Wheeler of Abilene; his grandmothers, Twila Culpepper of Sylvester and Lucy Selby of Breckenridge; his great-grandmother, Mattie B. Wheeler of Lake Leon; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Sharyn Lee Boen
DE LEON -- Sharyn Lee Boen, 60, died Sunday in a local hospital.
Services were held Tuesday in De Leon First Baptist Church with Jackie Auvenshine officiating. Burial was in De Leon Cemetery, directed by Nowlin Funeral Home.
Mrs. Boen was born in Pawnee City, Neb., and married Jack Boen in 1958 in Odessa. She moved to De Leon in 1958 from Odessa and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Golden Saturday Committee for De Leon's Peach & Melon Festival since 1995.
Survivors include her husband, of De Leon; one son, Jackson Boen of Abilene; one daughter, Janece Sheetz of De Leon; two brothers, Bill Morehead of Beatrice, Neb., and Elmer Morehead Jr. of Lincoln, Neb.; one sister, Karen Sheldon of Lincoln, Neb.; and three grandchildren.

Gilma Mildred Canon
WICHITA FALLS -- Gilma Mildred Canon, 88, formerly of Abilene, died Monday in a local care facility.
Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. today in Oakwood Cemetery in Waco with the Rev. John Goss officiating, directed by Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.
Mrs. Canon was born in Mart and graduated from Waco High School in 1927. She married Val Canon in 1930 in Lubbock and was a homemaker. She lived in San Antonio for nine years and Abilene for 38 years before moving to Wichita Falls in 1979. She was a Baptist.
Survivors include her husband, of Wichita Falls; one son, Val Canon Jr. of Dallas; one daughter, Sheryl Branscum of Lawton, Okla.; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Ellen Virginia Mallard
TERRELL -- Ellen Virginia Mallard, 49, formerly of Abilene, died Sunday in Terrell.
A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. today in Goggans Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ernie McCoulskey officiating.
Ms. Mallard was born in Roby and graduated from Abilene Cooper High School in 1966. She lived in Abilene for many years and was a Baptist.
Survivors include two daughters, Jennifer K. Groesbeck of Abilene and Krista Susan Mallard; one son, Adam Edward Mallard; two brothers, David S. Mallard and William C. Mallard, both of Terrell; one sister, Laura Jean Mallard Zincke of Terrell; and several nieces and nephews.
