James Wade
LUBBOCK -- James H. Wade, 80, of Lubbock, formerly of Early, Brownwood County, died Monday evening in a Lubbock hospital.
A graveside inurnment is scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday in Jenkins Springs Cemetery.
Mr. Wade was born in Chickasha, Okla. He served in the United States Army and Navy. He was a Baptist.
His survivors include a nephew and niece in Early, Texas.

Wilburn G. Gotcher
SWEETWATER -- Wilburn G. Gotcher, 70, died Sunday in an Abilene hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the McCoy Chapel of Memories in Sweetwater with the Rev. Dan Burrow officiating. Burial will be in the Brookshire Cemetery.
Mr. Gotcher was born in 1928. He was a 50-year member of Sweetwater Baptist, and he worked as a heavy equipment operator for Sweetwater Sand and Gravel for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Emagene Gotcher of Sweetwater; one son, Wayne Gotcher of Abilene; four daughters, Deborah Wisdom of Fort Worth, Carla Gotcher, Elyon Gotcher and Bonita Harris, all of Sweetwater, and Zandra Moore of Texarkana; one sister, Wanda Rinehart of Snyder; and two brothers, Bill Gotcher and Nealon Gotcher, both of Sweetwater.
Pallbearers include Bill Gotcher, Lynn Gotcher, Eddie Debord, Gene Hendrix, Nealon Gotcher, Jr., and David Stewart.

Jarrett 'Jerry' Janes
Jarrett G. "Jerry" Janes, 85, died Monday at a local nursing home.
Cryptside services will be at 4 p.m. today in Elmwood Memorial Park with Dr. Don Greenway officiating, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory.
Mr. Janes grew up in Texas and moved to Abilene in 1951. He was an engineer and worked for Central Texas Iron Works for many years. He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. He married Olive "Ollie" Schell in 1942 in Pascagoula, Miss.; she preceded him in death.
Survivors include two nieces.

Naomi Joyce Isaacs
McKINNEY -- Services for Naomi Joyce Isaacks, 78, will be at 10 a.m. today at Belew Funeral Home chapel with Tom Gaumer and Harry Long officiating. Burial will be in Pecan Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Isaacks was born in Foreman, Ark., and was a homemaker and a retired nurse. She was a member of Waddill Street Baptist Church. She lived in Abilene and Quanah and retired in Bella Vista, Ark. She had lived in McKinney for three years. She married Lewis Isaacks Sr. in 1935.
Survivors include her husband, of McKinney; one son, Lewis Isaacks Jr.; two daughters, Yvonne Shumaker of Kerrville and Barbara Jobe of Azle; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Grace Medaline Jones
GOREE -- Grace Medaline Jones, 89, died Sunday at an Abilene nursing home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church with the Rev. James Teel officiating. Burial will be in Goree Cemetery, directed by McCauley-Smith Funeral Home of Munday.
Mrs. Jones was born in Newton, Miss., and lived in Goree before moving to Sonora in 1933. She moved to San Angelo in 1940 and to Abilene in 1998. She was a retired school teacher and a member of First Baptist Church in San Angelo, PTA, Literary Review and Texas State Teachers Association. She married Felton Jones in 1933 in Goree.
Survivors include her husband, of Abilene; one daughter, Sandra Thompson of Hamlin; one sister, Mabel Hampton of Wichita Falls; and three stepgrandchildren.

Lavada Winans Hill, 84, died Monday at a local nursing home.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. today in Belvedere Cemetery with the Rev. David Chandler officiating, directed by Robert Massie Funeral Home of San Angelo. Mrs. Hill was born in Ballinger and lived in San Angelo for many years before moving to Abilene in 1992.
Survivors include her husband, Carl Hill of Abilene; two daughters, Brenda Blanton of Abilene and Janet Earnest of San Angelo; two sons, Ronnie Hill of Lampasas and Frank Hill of Sugar Land; one sister, Vera Wilkerson of San Angelo; 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Anna Lou 'Meme' Brooks
BIG SPRING -- Anna Lou "Meme" Brooks, 74, died Sunday at a local hospital after a brief illness.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Trinity Memorial Park with Rodney Tedford officiating, directed by Myers & Smith Funeral Home.
Mrs. Brooks was born in Haskell County and lived in Sweetwater most of her life before moving to Big Spring in 1961. She worked for Malone and Hogan Hospital for a number of years and was a member of 14th and Main Church of Christ. She married Donald Brooks in 1958 in Mineral Wells; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons, Rocky Brooks of Abilene and Herb McCain of Midland; two daughters, Andrea Booth of Vacaville, Calif., and Rebecca Lara of Anchorage, Alaska; one sister, Margie Rosenblum of Austin; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home from 5-6:30 p.m. today.

COLEMAN -- Kathleen T. Nisbett, 76, died Friday at a local hospital.
A prayer service will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday at Walker Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Glen Cove Cemetery Pavilion with the Rev. Austin Herrmann officiating.
Mrs. Nisbett was born in Phoenix, Ariz., and had lived in Coleman County since 1984. She was a homemaker and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She married W.E. Nisbett in 1944 in Phoenix; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include two daughters, Donna Nisbett of Novice and Frances Noel of Prescott Valley, Ariz.; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home from 7-8 p.m. today.

William 'Bill' Brown
WEATHERFORD -- William N. "Bill" Brown, 70, died Saturday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at North Side Baptist Church. Burial will be in East Greenwood Cemetery, directed by Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
Mr. Brown was born in Cleveland, Okla., and had lived in Weatherford since 1983. He was an air conditioning and heating subcontractor, a veteran of the Army and Navy and a member of North Side Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Retha Brown of Weatherford; one daughter, Sharla Maddux of Garner; two sons, Nevin Brown of Edmond, Okla., and Mark Brown of Jennings, Okla.; four sisters, Wanda Lou Jones of Cleveland, Okla., Wilma Gill of Waco, Mary Trimble of Stillwater, Okla., and Gennie Apuan of Phoenix, Ariz.; six grandchildren and other relatives, including family members in the Baird area.

Jewell (Mrs. Claude) Tyler
COLEMAN -- Jewell (Mrs. Claude) Tyler, 87, died Sunday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with Donald Williams officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Merkel.
Mrs. Tyler was born in Hylton (Nolan County) and attended school in Fredonia and Littlefield. She graduated from high school in 1927 and lived in Bandera and Brady before moving to Coleman in 1945. She was a homemaker and a member of Elm Street Church of Christ. She married Claude Tyler in 1939 in Hylton; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sisters, Iris Lee Cobern of Brownwood and Joyce Hallford of Wiley, Colo.; and nieces and nephews.
