Glenn Marie (Mrs. W.O. Jr.) Wylie
BAIRD - Glenn Marie (Mrs. W.O. Jr.) Wylie, 85, died Friday at an Angleton hospital.
Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Parker Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ricky Carstensen officiating. Burial will be in Ross Cemetery.
Mrs. Wylie was born in Baird and attended Hardin-Simmons University. She taught music for many years and was a church organist. She was one of the first female morticians in Texas, and she and her husband owned and operated funeral homes in Baird, Albany, Moran and Cisco. She was a member of Harmony Music Club, Fort Worth Chapter o the American Guild of Organists and the Order of the Eastern Star. She married W.O. Wylie Jr. in 1933.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

Helen Clark
BROWNWOOD - Helen Clark, 65, died Saturday at a Fort Worth hospital.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. today in Old Dublin Memorial Park in Dublin, directed by Davis-Morris Funeral Home.
Mrs. Clark was born in Pikesville, Ky., and lived in Cleburne before moving to Brownwood eight months ago. She was a homemaker and a member of the Pentecostal church. She married Frank Clark in 1947 in Kentucky; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include four sons, Lucky Len Clark of Stephenville, David Franklin Clark of Lakewood, Colo., Roger Lee Clark of Comanche and Roy Dale Clark of Brownwood; four daughters, Alice Ann Clark of Brownwood, Linda Sue Andrews of Meridian and Joyce Faye Reiger and Bonnie Jean Reiger, both of Zephyr; two sisters, Gladys Johnson of Mansfield, Ohio, and Ruth Rodriguez of Lansing, Mich.; 16 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Bonnie Wright
STAMFORD - Bonnie Dean Walker Wright, 70, died Saturday at an Abilene hospital.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Tankersley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kent Wallace officiating. Burial will be in Willow Cemetery in Haskell.
Mrs. Wright was born in Haskell County and was a member of the Church of Christ and a homemaker. She lived in Carlsbad, N.M., from 1989-1992 and moved to Stamford from Fort Worth in 1995. She married C.H. Wright in 1942 in Haskell; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include one son, C.H. Wright Jr. of Fort Worth; two daughters, Jeannie Hemmingway of Lake Stamford and Judy Lowe of Carlsbad, N.M.; three brothers, Baylor Walker of Wichita Falls, K.D. Walker of Rochester and Lonnie Gene Walker (her twin brother) of Munday; two sisters, Hazel Wimberley of Spring and Blanche Davis of Rochester; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Iva Hammonds
COLEMAN - Iva Hammonds, 85, died Sunday at a local nursing home.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with Sam Wilson officiating, assisted by the Rev. Paul Smith. Burial will be in Coleman City Cemetery.
Mrs. Hammonds was born in McLendon and moved to Coleman as a child. She lived in Coleman, where she attended school, the remainder of her life. She was a nurse's aide for many years at Holiday Hill Nursing Home and was a member of Elm Street Church of Christ. She married Dan Hammonds in 1928 in Coleman; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include four daughters, Virginia Gandy of Coleman, Dell Elkins of Pryor, Okla., Judy Rylee of Odessa and Pat Kutzer of Comfort; four sons, Jackie Hammonds, James Hammonds and Dannie Hammonds, all of Coleman, and David Hammonds of Grand Junction, Colo.; one brother, J.R. Wesson of Brownwood; one sister, Nettie Davis of Coleman; 23 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Big Country, 3113 Oldham Lane, Abilene 79605.
The family will be at the funeral home from 5-7 p.m. today.

Claudia Ashcraft-Copeland
Claudia Ashcraft-Copeland, 51, licensed vocational nurse at the Abilene State School for 10 years, died Saturday in Bakersfield, Calif.
The body will be cremated and no services are planned. Arrangements are being made by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory.
Mrs. Copeland was born in Riverside, Calif., and was a U.S. Air Force veteran. She moved to Abilene in 1982 from California. She married Richard Copeland in 1996 in Abilene and was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her husband, of Abilene; two daughters, Tutiiu Ashcraft of Sacramento, Calif., and Barbara Tomaszewski of Boulder, Colo.; her mother, Margaret "Moxie" Wood of Abilene; one brother, Ron Wood of Austin; and one grandchild.

Ida Mae McCreary
Ida Mae McCreary, 72, self-employed beautician for many years, died Sunday in a local nursing home.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in New Light Baptist Church with the Rev. Leo Scott officiating. Burial will be in Oddfellows Cemetery, directed by Curtis-Starks Funeral Home, 542 E.N. 7th.
Mrs. McCreary was born in Abilene, where she attended school. She was the widow of Pearl McCreary, whom she married in 1948 in Eastland.
Survivors include one son, Billy C. McCreary of Abilene; one daughter, Pamela Dolton of Abilene; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one uncle; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Jacile Ashton Potter
Jacile Ashton Potter, 72, died Monday in a local hospital.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Elmwood Memorial Park with the Rev. Jerry Paulding officiating, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory.
Ms. Potter was born in Dallas and graduated from Abilene Christian High School. She attended Hardin-Simmons University and was a American Red Cross volunteer. She was a charter member of Rainbow Girls and also was a member of Retired Military Association, Officers Wives' Club and Humana Seniors.
Survivors include three daughters, Jay Carol Laney of Plano, Vicki Lee Uber of Clifton Park, N.Y., and Lorna Lyn Taylor of Abilene; one son, Lt. Col. LeRoy Weyrick III of Austin; eight grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces.
Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.

A.C. Asencio
MERKEL - A.C. Asencio, 72, maintenance worker for Taylor Electric Co-Op for 38 years, died Tuesday at his home.
Mass will be said at 1 p.m. today in Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church with the Rev. Tim Guthridge officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, directed by Starbuck Funeral Home.
Mr. Asencio was born in Celaya Guanajuato, Mexico, and attended a military academy in Torreon, Mexico. He married Lupe Ybarra in 1948 in Mexico and was a Catholic.
Survivors include his wife, of Merkel; three sons, Arnulfo Asencio, Hector Asencio and Will Asencio, all of Abilene; six daughters, Dora Asencio and Sherry Asencio, both of Austin, Elizabeth Buitron of Laredo, Marisela Cascio of Albuquerque, N.M., Kandi Darnell of Devine and Pat Tice of Abilene; one brother, Paulino Asencio of Torreon, Mexico; three sisters, Estella Carrillo of San Jose, Calif., Celia Cuin of Michoacan, Mexico, and Bridget Reyna of Albuquerque, N.M.; 16 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
