Jo Ann Simon Allen Camacho
STAMFORD - Jo Ann Camacho, 58, of Abilene and formerly of Stamford, died Monday at her home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Trinity Baptist Church with the Rev. Jessie Simon officiating. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Cemetery, directed by Tankersley Funeral Home.
Mrs. Camacho was born in Loraine and was a hospital worker. She also was a homemaker. She was a Baptist and was the widow of Fred Allen and Florentino Camacho.
Survivors include three sons, James Allen, Clifton Allen and Kenneth Allen, all of Abilene; two stepsons, Tony Camacho of Abilene and Robert Camacho of McAllen; one daughter, Bobbie Jo Trejo of Abilene; two brothers, Odell Simon of Gilmer and Wayne Simon of Stamford; five sisters, Margie Caswell of Colorado City, Ruth Savell and Barbara Aguilera, both of Andrews, and Joyce Bilbrey and Diedria Franklin, both of Abilene; 17 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Barbara Black Way
MIDLAND - Barbara Black Way, 58, formerly of Abilene, died Monday in a local hospital after a long battle with cancer.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. today in Resthaven Memorial Park. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. in Midland First Baptist Church with Dr. Jerry Hilton officiating, directed by Ellis Funeral Home.
Mrs. Way was born in Abilene and graduated from Abilene High School. She attended Texas Tech University and married Ralph Lacy Way in Lubbock. She moved to Midland in 1964 and was active in Community Bible Study for many years. She a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority at Texas Tech, and Midland Junior League and First Baptist Church.
Survivors include five daughters, Karen Davis and Karol Ann Eads, both of Midland, Kathryn Jackson of Dallas, Kristi Jones of Coppell and Kimberly Way of Irving; three brothers, C. Robert Black of Darien, Conn., Taylor Black of Abilene and Don Black of Lubbock; and 11 grandchildren.
Memorials may be sent to Barbara Way Fund, c/o Midland Memorial Foundation, 2200 W. Illinois, Midland 79701, to assist needy people in paying for the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer.

Abelardo 'Lalo' Martinez
SAN ANGELO - Abelardo "Lalo" Martinez, 67, formerly of Sonora, father of an Abilene resident, died Sunday at his home.
Mass will be said at 1 p.m. today in St. Ann's Catholic Church in Sonora. Burial will be in Sonora Cemetery, directed by Kerbow Funeral Home of Sonora.
Mr. Martinez was born in Sonora and worked as a sheep shearer. He was a Catholic.
Survivors include one son, Abe Martinez of Abilene; two daughters, Sulema Noriega of San Angelo and Norma Garcia of Austin; one brother, Gilberto Martinez of Sonora; one sister, Emma Villarreal of San Angelo; and eight grandchildren.

Jesse Pharis
COLORADO CITY - Jesse W. Pharis, 94, died Tuesday in Abilene.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in 22nd and Austin Church of Christ with Kerry Cain officiating. Burial will be in Loraine Cemetery, directed by Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
Mr. Pharis was born in Houston County and owned and operated Jesse's Radiator Shop. He was a 60-year member of Mitchell County Masonic Lodge 563 and was the widower of Ruth Shaw Pharis, whom he married in 1929 in Burkburnett.
Survivors include one daughter, Janie Wright of Loraine; three sons, Jesse Ray Pharis of Abilene, Lloyd Pharis of Graham and Keith DeJaynes of Lakewood, Colo.; one sister, Lula Belle Walker of New Braunfels; one brother, Joe Pharis of Carlsbad, N.M.; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Wilton McKinney
BURKETT - Wilton McKinney, 81, died Monday in a Brownwood hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Stevens Funeral Home Chapel in Coleman with the Rev. Gary Boyd officiating. Burial will be in Coleman Cemetery.
Mr. McKinney was born in Pioneer and attended school in Dressy. He moved to Coleman County in 1940 and served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He married Nadine Gary in 1945 in Baird and was a farmer. He was a member of the Auditorium Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, of Burkett; two daughters, Dana McKinney of Abilene and Glenda Allen of Lorain, Ohio; one sister, Hazel Rider of Coleman; one brother, Carroll McKinney of Fort Worth; and two grandchildren.

Raymond Way
COLORADO CITY - Raymond R. Way, 85, lifelong local resident, died Monday in Abilene.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Kiker-Seale Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Raymond Schaffer officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Memorial Gardens in Snyder.
Mr. Way was born in Erath County and married Mary Aline Dunn in 1965 in San Antonio. He worked as a fruit and vegetable retailer and wholesaler. He was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9178.
Survivors include one daughter, LaVern "Sue" Schaffer of Roswell, N.M.; one son, Maurice "Mert" Way of Caldwell; three sisters, Josephine Way of New Orleans, Bessie Bowen of Arlington and Dorothy Cloud of Odessa; seven grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Naomi Landreth Sartain
BROWNWOOD - Naomi Landreth Sartain, 83, died Tuesday in a local nursing home.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today in Coggin Avenue Baptist Church with the Rev. Leonard Mattox officiating. Burial will be in Amity Cemetery in Comanche County, directed by Davis-Morris Funeral Home.
Mrs. Sartain was born in Comanche County and married Lee Aston Sartain in 1938 in May. She was a homemaker and formerly lived in Magnolia. She moved to Brownwood nine months ago and was a member of Walnut Creek Baptist Church in Magnolia.
Survivors include her husband, of Brownwood; one son, Dr. R.L. Sartain of Brownwood; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two cousins.

Belle Watson Jarmuth
CISCO - Belle Watson Jarmuth, 93, formerly of Moran, died Tuesday in an Abilene hospital.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Moran Cemetery with Dr. Thomas Goodman officiating, directed by Kimbrough Funeral Home.
Mrs. Jarmuth was born in Moran and graduated from Haskell High School. She was a homemaker. She was a Presbyterian and was the widow of L.T. Jarmuth.
Survivors include two sons, Quannah Bruce Watson and William Donald Stoner, both of Cisco; three sisters, Georgia Trubee of Roswell, N.M., Lillie Maude Johnson of Waco and Francis Waldron of Bakersfield, Calif.; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Grady Sparks
LORAINE - Grady Sparks, 87, died Monday in a Colorado City hospital.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Colorado City Cemetery with Dr. Ted Spear officiating, directed by Kiker-Seale Funeral Home of Colorado City.
Mr. Sparks was born in Mart and moved to Mitchell County in 1919. He was a retired carpenter. He was a farmer and rancher and was the widower of Beulah Yancy Sparks, whom he married in 1932 in Colorado City.
Survivors include many nieces and nephews.
