Geral Nelson Garner, 45, of Dayton, died Sunday, September 4, 2011, at the Triumph Hospital in Houston.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.
Geral was born January 13, 1966 in Montgomery, Louisiana, to parents; Loyd, Sr. and Pearleen Lawrence Garner, a former resident of Houston, and has resided in the Dayton area for the past seven years.
He was a former manager for Gehan Homes of Houston and enjoyed fishing.
Mr. Garner was preceded in death by his father: Loyd Garner, Sr. and brothers: Loyd, Jr. and William Garner.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years: Terri Griffith Garner of Dayton, daughters: Crystal Lynn Garner of Dayton and Laci Delatte of LA, mother: Pearleen Lawrence Garner of LA, mother-in-law: Beverly Garner of Dayton, sisters: Remona Blood of LA, Karen Sue Hall of LA, Virginia Rominger of LA, Margo Johnson of LA, and Amanda Silmon of LA, two grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Royce Weldon Thomas, Sr.
(July 6, 1936 - September 29, 2011)
Royce Weldon Thomas Sr., age 75, of Cleveland, Texas, passed away, Thursday, September 29, 2011 at his residence.
He was born in Houston, Texas on July 6, 1936 to parents, Milton J. and Lorene Thomas who preceded him in death along with his sons, Royce Thomas Jr. and Michael Thomas and a granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 a.m., Sunday, October 02, 2011 at Pace-Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas with interment following at Cleveland Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. prior to service.
Survivors include his daughter, Brenda Gail Fowler; grandchildren, Josh and Tiffany; brothers, Milton C. “Bill” Thomas and wife, Pat, Burl Thomas and wife, Ruth, B.J. Thomas and wife, Martha; numerous other cherished family members and faithful friends.
Howard Lonnie Stone
(September 18, 1924 - September 25, 2011)
Howard L. Stone, 87, of Dayton, died Sunday, September 25, 2011, at the Triumph Hospital in Baytown.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 27, 2011, at the First United Methodist Church with burial following at Magnolia Park Cemetery in Dayton.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home.
Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.
Howard was born September 18, 1924 in Nacogdoches, to parents; Lonnie and Mary Pearl Stone, and has resided in the Dayton area for the past 62 years.
He was a graduate of the Nacogdoches High School class of 1943, obtained his Masters Degree at Stephen F. Austin University, veteran of the US Navy with service during WW II, former sixth grade teacher for the Dayton I.S.D. and city council member, retired President of Dayton State Bank, member of the American Legion Post #512, Nolan D. Pickett VFW Post #5621, Dayton Masonic Lodge #824,the Elks Lodge, Magnolia Ridge Country Club, and the First United Methodist Church where he had served as the chairman for the sanctuary building committee.
He also enjoyed playing golf, hunting, fishing, his cats, working in the yard, and supporting numerous community activities.
Mr. Stone was preceded in death by his parents, son: Stephen P. Stone, sister: Opal King, and brother-in-law: W. D. Thames, MD.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years: Dollie D. Stone of Dayton, sister-in-law: Flora O’Quinn and husband Billy of Lufkin, sister-in-law: Sarah Thames, and numerous other relatives, and friends.
In lieu of usual floral remembrances, the family requests that donations be made to the First United Methodist Church at 106 S. Cleveland, Dayton, Texas 77535.
James "Buddy" Oliver Dean

James “Buddy” Oliver Dean, age 60, was delivered to the Lord by Angel Express on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at 12:54 p.m.
He was born June 7, 1951 in Woodville, Texas to parents, James R. and Lorene Dean who preceded him in death along with his grandparents, William Oliver Dean, Mary Jane “Molly” Plaster, James Barnett, and Laura Susann “Katt” Barnett.

James Edwin Fowler, age 72, of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Sunday, August 28, 2011.
He was born July 13, 1939 in Cleveland, Texas to James Carson Fowler and Celestia Hickman Fowler.
Survivors include his loving wife, Margaret Ann Mosley Fowler; daughter, Renee Dianne Fowler; grandchildren, Jamee Fowler Sheikh, Ashee Nikohl Lane and husband, Shawn, Ethan Jameson Fowler, Shelbi Brook Fowler; great-grandchildren, Shaylee Saleen Lane, Jakoby Allen Lane and Aiden Jameson Sheikh.

William Charles Bruce, age 70, of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2011.
He was born April 21, 1941 in Dallas, Texas to parents, James Hillard Bruce and Edith Clodell Bruce who preceded him in death along with his brother, Byron “Buddy” Bull.
Survivors include his loving wife, Judy Bruce; son Wesley Bruce; sisters, Pam Lamb, Pat Winters and Terri Jo Smith; one grandchildren, William; numerous nieces, nephews and other cherished family members and treasured friends throughout the years.

Eunice "Pat" Miller

Eunice Miller, age 90, of Splendora, Texas, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2011 in Houston, Texas.
She was born January 30, 2011 in Oberlin, Louisiana to Oscar and Mathilde Guillory who preceded her in death along wth her four husbands, three daughters, five brothers, and one sister.
Survivors include her daughters Belinda Staley and husband, Glenn Staley; sons, Marshall Lilley and wife, Carmel Wilson; six grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and nineteen great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and other cherished family members and faithful friends.

Micheal Charles Green, Jr.
(April 19, 1971 - December 22, 2011)
Mr. Michael Charles Green, Jr., 40, of Point Blank, Texas went peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior on December 22, 2011.
Michael was born on April 19, 1971, in Houston, Texas to Michael Charles Green, Sr. and Brenda Cox Green Byrd.
Michael attended Nacogdoches High School but graduated from the Austin School for the Deaf and had taken a semester of college through a junior college associated with the Austin School for the Deaf.
Michael loved animals of all types. He loved horses and had always wanted to own one.
He liked to play tennis and swim. He was a huge Houston Texans and Dallas Cowboy fan as well.
He was full of life and loved to tease his sister and make those around him laugh.
He had worked in retail sales throughout his career.
He is survived by his mother, Brenda D. Byrd; one sister, Dana M. Green; a brother, Mark A. Green; and his grandmother, Sue Cox, all of Nacogdoches; his step-mother, Tina Green of Mission, Texas; special friend, Chuck Liles; one niece and three nephews; as well as numerous other extended family and great friends.
Michael was preceded in death by his father, Michael Charles Green, Sr.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 26, 2011, at 10:30 AM at Shady Grove Baptist Church with Rev. John Withem officiating.
