Linnie Williams
COLORADO CITY -- Linnie Williams, 92, died Sunday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church with Dr. Ted Spear officiating. Burial will be in Colorado City Cemetery, directed by Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
Mrs. Williams was born in Joplin, Mo., and lived in Colorado City all her life. She was a member of First Baptist Church and Mitchell County Hospital Auxiliary and a 70-year member of Looney Home Demonstration Club. She married Charles Williams in 1929 in Colorado City; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include five daughters, Nanna House of Spicewood, Peggy Redman of Midland, Penny Sue Merket and Joyce Womack, both of Colorado City, and Helen Merrick of Coahoma; one sister, Grace Lane of San Antonio; 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Ralph Hines
COLORADO CITY -- Ralph Hines, 72, died Sunday at a local hospital after a lengthy illness.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church with the Revs. Ken Northcutt and Dan Marshall officiating. Burial will be in Westbrook Cemetery, directed by Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
Mr. Hines was born in Stanton and lived in Mitchell County all his life. He graduated from Westbrook High School in 1944 and was a Navy veteran of World War II. He graduated from Sul Ross State University in 1951 and worked for Anderson-Clayton and Carnation companies as a livestock specialist. He was past president of the Westbrook Cemetery Association. He married Betty Brown in 1957 in Pleasanton; she preceded him in death.
Survivors include two daughters, Doris Sands of Sundown and Janie Vann of Colorado City; one brother, Donald Hines of Midland; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

W.T. ‘Bull’ McMorris
SEYMOUR -- W.T. "Bull" McMorris, 75, died Monday in Abilene.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Grace Wooten officiating. Burial will be in Bomarton Cemetery in Bomarton, directed by Archer Funeral Home.
Mr. McMorris was born in Seymour and was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a mechanic for Time D.C. Trucking and worked in Lubbock and Oklahoma City, Okla., before retiring in 1982. He moved to Wingate in 1989 and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He married Colleen Parker in 1956.
Survivors include his wife, of Wingate; three daughters, Kay Clarke and Debra Callarman, both of Oklahoma City, and Janet McMorris of Wingate; one son, Edward McMorris of Oklahoma City; two sisters, Winnie Wright of McCloud, Okla., and Willie Jo Bibb of Arlington; three brothers, Tom McMorris of Bomarton, J.R. McMorris of Wingate and Cecil McMorris of Lubbock; and six grandchildren.

Verne Coleman
RISING STAR -- Verne T. Coleman, 79, died Saturday at an Abilene hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Higginbotham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lynn Starnes officiating. Burial will be in Rising Star Cemetery.
Mr. Coleman was born in Loraine and was an Army veteran of World War II. He was an oiler for El Paso Gas Co. and returned to Rising Star after retiring 25 years ago. He was a member and past master of Rising Star Masonic Lodge 688 and a member of First United Methodist Church. He married Billie Tune in 1941 in Big Spring.
Survivors include his wife, of Rising Star; two sons, Ronnie Coleman of Australia and Mickey Coleman of Denver, Colo.; two brothers, Luther Coleman of Big Spring and Leonard Coleman of Ackerly; two sisters, Leona Hughes of Big Spring and Margaret Norman of San Angelo; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Lillian Verde Keller Harris
COLEMAN -- Lillian Verde Keller Harris, 96, died Monday at a local nursing home.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Burkett Cemetery Pavilion with Ross Cathy officiating, directed by Walker Funeral Home.
Mrs. Harris was born in Burkett and had lived in Coleman County since 1902. She was a homemaker and a member of Woodmen of the World and the Church of Christ. She married Quinn Harris in 1922 in Burkett; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons, Grady Harris of Coleman and Hulan Harris of Sunrise Beach; five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Maggie (Mrs. George) Wainscott
HAMLIN -- Maggie (Mrs. George) Wainscott, 90, of Stamford died Monday at her home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church with Stormy Higgins officiating. Burial will be in Hamlin Memorial Cemetery, directed by Foster-Adams Funeral Home.
Mrs. Wainscott was born in Fisher County and attended Royston schools. She worked in the lunchroom at Wise Chapel schools, then moved to Hamlin in 1940 and was a kitchen employee for Hamlin Memorial Hospital. She was a member of First Baptist Church and attended the Rachel-Service Sunday school class. She was a member of the Hamlin Senior Citizens and the Quilting Club. She moved to Stamford in 1996. She married Clay Stephens in 1924. She married George Wainscott in 1940 in Sweetwater. Both preceded her in death.
Survivors include four sons, Wayne Wainscott of Haskell, Jimmy Wainscott of Winnsboro, Thomas Stephens of Page, Ariz., and Nathan Stephens of Odessa; two daughters, Peggy Higgins of New Braunfels and Gay Nell Peters of Stamford; one sister, Thelma Neeley of Carlsbad, N.M.; 19 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home from 5-6:30 p.m. today.

Bernice Harmes
SAN ANGELO -- Bernice Harmes, 70, died Sunday at a Brownwood hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Johnson’s Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dickie Shutlz officiating. Burial will be in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Harmes was born in Fischer County and owned and operated a beauth shop in San Angelo for many years. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was the widow of Lee Harmes.
Survivors include two sons, Neal Morgan of San Angelo and Buzzy Morgan of Whitney; three sisters, Willadene Westbrook of San Angelo, Dorothy Wallace of Houston and Loraine Dennis of Snyder; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Kyle Curtis Crocker
MERKEL -- Kyle Curtis Crocker, 89, of Malakoff died Saturday in Malakoff.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Trent Cemetery in Trent with Larry Gill officiating, directed by Starbuck Funeral Home.
Mr. Crocker was born in Texas and was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a farmer and a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

A. E. Wyatt
DENTON -- A. E. Wyatt, 71, grandfather of an Abilene resident, died Tuesday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 4 p.m. today at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Jeff Williams and the Rev. Cliff Feeler officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, directed by DeBerry Funeral Directors.
Mr. Wyatt was born in San Angelo. He married Neva Thomas in 1947 in Abilene. He was a graduate of Dallas Baptist College. He served in the U.S. Army and retired from the Texas National Guard. Mr. Wyatt served as the Chairman of the Board of Flow Memorial Hospital and Chairman of the Phyllis George, Miss America Committee. He was the Director of Provident Bank. He was a car dealership consultant and founder of the Denton New Dealer Car Association and had served as a deacon at First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of Denton; two daughters, Jana Daigle of Paris and Paula Wyatt of Plano; one sister, Wanda Cinnamon of Schertz; one half-brother, Jerry Wyatt of Grand Prairie; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Denton First Baptist Church Building Fund or the American Cancer Society.

Irene Joan Wisniewski
CLYDE -- Irene Joan Wisniewski, 67, died Saturday in a local hospital.
Services will be Friday at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Hudson, Ohio. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery in Northfield, Ohio, directed by Ferfolia Funeral Home. Local arrangements by Bailey Funeral Home.
Mrs. Wisniewski was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and moved to Clyde in 1977. She married Anthony Wisniewski in 1954 in Warrensville Heights, Ohio. She was a retired bookkeeper and secretary. She was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church in Abilene and Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Hudson, Ohio.
Survivors include her husband of Clyde; one son, Michael Wisniewski of Cleveland, Ohio; three daughters, Patricia Wisniewski of Clyde, Sharon Christ of Baltimore. Md., and Manett Wisniewski of Henderson, Nev.; and two sisters, Shirley Piascik of Sagamore Hills, Ohio, and Bernadine Sherman of North Royalton, Ohio.

Sarah Jane Bomar
COLEMAN -- Sarah Jane Bomar, 98, died Wednesday in a local hospital.
Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Friday in the Coleman City Cemetery Pavillion with Roxy Gordon officiating, directed by Walker Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bomar, a Choctaw Indian, married John Bomar in 1920 in Talpa. She was a housewife and ranchlady. She was a Baptist.
Survivors include one daughter, Louise Gordon of Valera; one grandson, Roxy Gordon of Talpa; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6-7 today at the funeral home.
