Paula Jean Akins Jolly Robertson
(1958-2012)
Paula Jean Akins Jolly Robertson, 54, passed from this life on Saturday, December 29, 2012 in Lubbock.
Funeral services for Ms. Robertson were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at Christian Life Church in Brownfield, with Pastor Richard Sessums officiating.
Burial followed at Terry County Cemetery in Brownfield.
Personal services have been entrusted to Mark A. Jones Funeral Directors of Brownfield.
Ms. Robertson was born on October 12, 1958 to Paul and Joan Akins in Brownfield, Texas.
Paula enjoyed fishing, spending time at the lake and watching movies.
She loved country music and dancing.
She enjoyed life and lived for the moment.
She enjoyed spending time with her family.
Those left to cherish her memories are her mother, Joan Jolly of Brownfield; one brother, Joe Bob Jolly and wife, Trish of Brownfield; two sisters, Carolyn Taylor of Brownfield, and Debi McGrew of Haskell; and several nephews, nieces, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her two fathers, Paul Akins and Eddie Jolly.
Winnie Murphy
(August 6, 1922 - April 17, 2013)
Winnie Murphy, 90, of Lubbock, passed away on Sunday April, 14, 2013 at her residence.
Celebration of Life will be Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers.
Interment will follow in the Terry County Memorial Cemetery in Brownfield, Texas
Winnie was born on August 6, 1922 to Elijah and Lillie Peek in Goree, Knox County, Texas.
Winnie attended school in Brownfield.
She married the love of her life, D.C. Murphy, October 24, 1940.
Winnie was a devoted wife and loving mother to her husband, D.C. and her children Jim and Melba.
She was a true example of a homemaker and cared for her family with selfless energy.
Her passion for gardening was evident in the large vegetable gardens she raised.
Winnie was known for her love for others and her willing heart to help anyone at any time.
She loved to attend her grandchildren s sporting events, and cheered them on with enthusiasm.
Winnie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her son.
Left to cherish Winnie s memory are: her daughter, Melba Estill and husband, Buster; granddaughter, Angela Spivey and husband, Lydell, grandsons, Curtis Estill and wife, Paula, Sean Murphy and Jacque Murphy; great-grandchildren, Zane Spivey, Colton, Caden, and Carter Estill, Adrian and Savana Murphy.
Armeta Janey Sansing
(July 23, 1937 - April 14, 2013)
Armeta "Janey Sansing passed away April 14, 2013 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas.
Services will be held Saturday, April 20, 2013, at McCoy Chapel of Memories in Sweetwater, with family members officiating.
Interment will follow in the Roscoe Cemetery, under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
A family visitation will be held April 19, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at McCoy Funeral Home.
Janey was born July 23, 1937 in the community of Pacio, Della County, Texas, to Luther and Evelyn Inglehart Basham.
They preceded her in death in 1989 and 1990.
She graduated from East Delta High School in 1955, and worked for Federal Reserve Bank before her marriage to H.L. Sansing on November 29, 1956.
He preceded her in death March 18, 1999.
She and her husband moved to Roscoe, August 8, 1981, where she became employed seasonal with Roscoe Co-Op Gin as scale clerk.
Off-season, she worked parttime at Walls and Texas Boll Weevil Program.
She was a Baptist.
Survivors include her son, Terry Dean Sansing and wife, Sara of Lubbock, granddaughter, Tara Buxkemper and husband, Drury of Lubbock, grandson, Austin Sansing of Lubbock, and special loved one, LeRoy Pietzsch of Roscoe.
Pallbearers will be J.D. Rowan, Drury Buxkemper, Scott Miers, Willis Huges, Johnny Pepper, and James Warren.
HENRY FRANKLIN WEBB
Henry Franklin Webb, 69, of Burnet, died on August 10, 2006.
Graveside services were held Sunday, Aug. 13 at Bear Creek Cemetery in Bertram.
He was born in Munday, on Dec. 8, 1936, the son of Henry and Erma Webb.
FELICE BEASLEY
Services for Felice Beasley, 80, were held Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2006 at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Meadow, with Rev. Ken McClung officiating.
Beasley died August 13, 2006.
OPAL MARIE BEASLEY
Services for Opal Marie Beasley, 84, were held Wednesday, August 16 at 10 a.m. at the Brownfield Funeral Home Memorial Chapel.
She died Aug. 10, 2006.
Beasley was born May 29, 1922 to Gus and Maggie Estill in Palo Pinto County.
She married Gordon Russell Beasley, June 22, 1962 in Brownfield. .
He preceded her in death, October 2, 1994.
FRANCES LAURA YOUNG KIRBY
Services for Frances Laura Young Kirby, 88, of Brownfield, were held Tuesday, Jan. 31, in Terry County Memorial Cemetery, with Rev. Ken Horn officiating.
Burial was in Terry County Memorial Cemetery, under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
Mrs. Kirby died Saturday, Jan. 28, 2006 in Brownfield.
VELMA IVA TAYLOR
Services for Velma Iva Taylor, 90, of Brownfield, were held Wednesday, Feb. 1, in Calvary Baptist Church, with Rev. Steve Carter officiating.
Burial was in Clarendon Cemetery in Clarendon.
Mrs. Taylor died Saturday, Jan. 28, 2006 in Lubbock.
JAMES "JIM" FOY
Services for James "Jim" Foy 81, of Lubbock, were held Monday, May 19th, in the Brownfield First Baptist Church Chapel, with Rev. Randy Land officiating.
Burial was in Terry County Memorial Cemetery, under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
Mr. Foy died Friday, May 16th, 2003 in Lubbock.
NENA BROWN
Services for Nena Mae Brown, 89, of Brownfield, were held Tuesday, May 20th, in Calvary Baptist Church, with Rev. Pat Riley and Rev. Steve Carter officiating.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 22nd in Pattison Cemetery in Emhouse.
The services will be under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
Mrs. Brown died Sunday, May 18th, 2003 in Lubbock.
DONALD PUTTY
Graveside services for Donald Ray Putty, 68, of Odessa, were held Tuesday, March 11th, in Terry County Cemetery, under the direction of Mark A. Jones Funeral Directors, with Mr. Dennis Dillon officiating.
Mr. Putty died Friday, March 7th, 2003 north of Wellman.
