Willie Herrera
(February 9, 1933 - April 22, 2013)
Willie Herrera, Sr., age 80, passed from this life on Thursday, April 18, 2013 in Brownfield.
Funeral Mass will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, April 22, 2013 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Brownfield, with Father Gerald Leatham officiating.
Burial will follow at Brownfield Cemetery in Brownfield.
Personal services have been entrusted to Mark A. Jones Funeral Directors in Brownfield.
Mr. Herrera was born on February 9, 1933 to Juan and Juanita Herrera in Mart, Texas.
He married the love of his life, Matilde Serbantez, on February 19, 1956, in Brownfield.
Willie will be remembered for his enjoyment in playing horseshoes and dominoes.
He was a very caring person and always looked out for others.
He truly enjoyed playing with his grandchildren.
He was a loving father and husband.
He loved singing "Las Maniatas” for the families birthdays.
He was an unforgettable person.
Those left to cherish his memories are his wife of 57 years, Matilde of the home; 5 sons: Lupe Herrera, Willie Herrera, Jr. and wife Jolanda, Bobby Herrera, Rudy Herrera and David Herrera and wife Thalia, all of Brownfield; 2 daughters: Sally Herrera of Brownfield, and Irene Torres of Batesville; 3 brothers: Eleno Herrera of Georgetown, Frank Herrera and John Herrera, Jr., both of Brownfield.
He was blessed with 29 grandchildren and 55 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; 1 son: Gilbert Herrera; 1 daughter: Betty Ann Herrera; 3 brothers; 2 sisters; and 1 great-granddaughter: Faythe Herrera.
Lucille Adair
February 10, 1922 - May 23, 2013
Services for Lucille Marie Adair, 91, of Brownfield, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 25, 2013 at Brownfield Church of Christ, with Bob Reynolds and Bo Shero officiating.
Burial will be in Brownfield Cemetery, under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
Lucille passed away Thursday, May 23, 2013 at her home in Brownfield.
She was born on February 10, 1922 in Stephenville, to Jim and Margaret (Williams) Barton.
She attended Brownfield schools.
Lucille married Elmo Harper Adair on February 9, 1941 in Seminole.
He preceded her in death on May 10, 1974.
She later married Link Adair of Merkel.
He also preceded her in death.
She quilted and was a member of the Brownfield Art Association.
She was a member of Brownfield Church of Christ.
She is also preceded in death by two sisters, Evelyn Noel and Loree Arnett; and two brothers, Vaughn and Bruce Barton.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Scott Adair, Jeff Adair, Greg Adair, Patrick Adair, Danny Neal, Dwain DePrang, Casey Bullock, David Prescott, Lance Cummings, Kerry Pratt, Bob McKenny.
Lucille is survived by two sons, Buster Adair and wife, Betty Jo and David Adair and wife, Marilyn, all of Wellman; two daughters, Mary Neal and husband, Dan of Brownfield, and Shirley Hartman and husband, Jesse of Wellman; 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandsons; a sister, Dorothy Morris of Livingston; and a brother, Jim Bob Barton and wife, Patricia of Ft. Worth.
The family suggests memorials to the Children’s Home of Lubbock.
Elbert 'Red' Allen
Services for Elbert "Red" Allen, 89, were held August 14th in Coleman.
Rev. E.R. Latham, United Pentecostal Church of Coleman, and Rev. T.H. Chapman, United Pentecostal Church of Midland, officiated.
He was laid to rest in the Levelland Cemetery.
He passed away August 11th, 2000 in Brownfield, following an illness.
CLOTA HUMPHRIES
Services for Clota Jean Hand Humphries, 61, of Corsicana, were held June 6th in Corley Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Rankin Koch officiating.
Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Humphries died June 4th, 2000 in Corsicana.
MADELINE WILLIS
Services for Iva Madeline Willis, 91, of Brownfield, were held May 11th in the Brownfield First United Methodist Church, with Rev. Beverly Titus officiating.
Burial was in Forest Park Cemetery in Houston, under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
Mrs. Willis died May 9th, 2000 in Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.
GLENN SHREVE
Services for Glenn Shreve, 70, of Lubbock, were held Feb. 21st in Sanders Memorial Chapel, with Cleve Haley, pastor of Oakwood Baptist Church, officiating.
Graveside services were held Feb. 22nd in Staggs Cemetery in Mineral Wells.
Mr. Shreve died Feb. 18th, 2000 in Covenant Medical Center.
MARIA BLANCO
Services for Maria Louisa Blanco, 79, of Seagraves, will be held Thursday, Feb. 24th in St. Paul's Catholic Church, with Father John Casey officiating.
Burial will be in Seagraves Cemetery, under the direction of Head Family Funeral Home.
Mrs. Blanco died Feb. 21st, 2000 in Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.
BOYD JOHNSON
Services for Boyd Johnson, 62, of Lamesa, were held in Sunset Baptist Church in Lamesa, on Wednesday, April 28th with Rev. Gerald Parsons, Rev. Hughy Harris and Rev. Stanley Cox officiating.
Burial was in Brownfield Cemetery in Brownfield, under the direction of Branon Funeral Home of Lamesa.
Mr. Johnson died Saturday, April 24th, 2004 in Santa Rosa, N.M.
LOUISE HOWLE
Services for Louise Howle, 85, of Brownfield, formerly of Midland, were held Wednesday, March 9 in St. Luke's United Methodist Church in Midland, with Rev. Richard Edwards officiating.
Burial was in Resthaven Memorial Park in Midland, under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home and Crematory of Midland.
Mrs. Howle died Saturday, March 5th, 2005.

BERNICE ELNORA BARTLEY STANTON
Bernice Elnora Bartley Stanton of Odessa, passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2005 at the Hospice House.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 3rd at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Odessa.
