Weaver, Ruby
Ruby Weaver, 81, of Port Neches died Friday, April 22, 1988 at Golden Triangle Nursing Home after an illness.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the First Baptist Church in Roganville with burial in Friendship Cemetery under the direction of Sheffield Funeral Home in Port Neches.
A native of Bleakwood, she lived in Port Neches 12 years.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. W.T. Fuller of Port Neches; a son, N.C. Weaver of Bedias; three sisters, Irene Hawthorne and Eva Hanks, both of Silsbee, and Mildred Stark of Roganville; two brothers, O.N. Wilson of Kirbyville and Beavis Wilson of Kountze, four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

WOODVILLE – Funeral for Theron Weaver, 81, of Woodville will be at 11 a.m. today at Edwards Funeral Home in Woodville with burial in Campground Cemetery.
He died at 5 p.m. Saturday, September 27, 1980 at Tyler County Hospital after an illness.
A native of Kirbyville, he had lived in Woodville 20 years. He was a retired pipefitter and a World War I veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Weaver of Woodville; son, Roy Weaver of Venezuela; two daughters, Jeanette Moore of Pasadena and Barbara Lastovica of Houston; three brothers, Aubrey Weaver of Kirbyville, Gordon Weaver of Farmerville, La., and Otis Weaver of Keene; sister, Sybil Gilbert of Newton; two grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Wells, Rev. Columbus N.
Funeral services for Rev. Columbus N. Wells, 87, of Silsbee will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Farmer Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. W.A. Rashall officiating assisted by Rev. C.B. McCarty and the Rev. James Stephenson. Burial will be in Cunningham Cemetery.
Rev. Wells Died at the Silsbee Doctor's Hospital at 8:42 p.m. Saturday, January 1, 1972 after a brief illness. He was a native of Fairfield and had lived in Silsbee for the past 20 years. He had been an ordained minister for the past 60 years, serving as pastor of the New Hope Pentecostal Church and the Kirbyville Church of God.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ester Wells of Silsbee; seven sons, Bernard B. Wells of Silsbee, Johnnie W. Wells of Quitman, Erzra E. Wells of Houston, Martin S. Wells Sr. of Baytown, Clifford N. Wells of Buffalo, Calvin Wells of Livingston; four daughters Mrs. Martha Tuck of Bastrop, Mrs. Linda Park of Shreveport, Mrs. Mattie Locke of Houston and Mrs. Ruth Davis of LaPort; three step-daughters, Mrs. Clara Arnold of Fort Worth, Mrs. Nell West of Nederland, and Mrs. Sue Lenamond of Baytown; one step-son, Tommy Oaks of Baytown.
Ward, Sebe
Funeral services for Sebe Ward, 83, of Kirbyville will be at 2 p.m. today in Causey’s E.E. Stringer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Bean Cemetery.
Ward died at 3 p.m. Monday, January 21, 1974 in a Buna hospital. A native of Walden County, Alabama, he had lived here most of his life where he was a retired carpenter.
Survivors include three brothers, Sim Ward of Silsbee, Alvin Ward of Teague, and Rile Ward of Vidor; one stepdaughter, Evelyn Hutchison of Kirbyville; five stepsons, B.E. and Edgar Davis, both of Vidor, Leroy Davis of Groves, Marvin and J.C. Davis, both of Houston.
West, Artie
Mrs. Artie West, 54, died at a Newton hospital Sunday morning at 10:40 o'clock after a long illness.
Mrs. West was born in Louisiana but had lived in the Old Salem Community near here for the last 33 years. She was a member of the Pentecostal church at Bleakwood.
Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Trout Creek Cemetery with Rev. C.N. Wells and Mrs. Mattie Hammock, Pentecostal ministers, officiating. Stringer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
The following nephews will serve as pallbearers; Louis, Bertice, Lois, Herman, R.C., and Nathan Franks all of Merryville, La.
Survivors are her husband, Otto West of Old Salem; four sons, Donald and J.D., both of Groves, Homer and Daniel, of Call; three daughters, Mrs. C.B. Mrs. West died at 4 a.m. Wednesday, April 4, 1973 in a Beaumont Hospital. She was a native of Burkeville.

Graveside services for Bennett Edom West, 83, of Old Salem Community, were held Saturday, Sept. 20 at 10:00 a.m.
The Rev. Hamp Newton, Minister of Primitive Baptist Church officiated. Burial was under the direction of Causey’s E.E. Stringer Funeral Home.
West died at 9 a.m. Thursday, September 22, 1969 in St. Mary’s Hospital in Port Arthur after a long illness. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Primitive Baptist Church.

She died at 4:15 p.m. Tuesday at Newton County Memorial Hospital after an illness.
A native of Louisiana, she had lived in Kirbyville 34 years.

She was a native of Call and a lifelong area resident.

West died at 2 p.m. Sunday in St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont after an illness. A native and lifelong resident of Newton County, he was a retired oiler for Kirby Lumber Co.

Funeral services for Bill West, 79, of Kirbyville will be at 2:00 p.m. today in the Rosevine Baptist Church near Bronson. Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Causey’s E.E. Stringer Funeral Home.
West died about noon Saturday, January 6, 1973 in a Jasper hospital.
He had lived in Kirbyville for 28 years.

George West, about 56, of Kirbyville died at 6 p.m. Sunday, December 1, 1973 in the Veterans Hospital in Houston.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by the E.E. Stringer Funeral Home of Kirbyville.
West was a native of this area and was a veteran of World War II. He operated a plumbing business.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Jennie Lee West; one son, Mark West of Kirbyville; his mother, Mrs. Jeff West Sr. of Beaumont; two sisters, Mrs. Estele Daniels of Groves, and Mrs. Merle Maxwell of Beaumont; one brother Jeff West of Beaumont.

Funeral services for Jack H. West, 60, Commissioner of Precinct Three, Jasper County, were held at 5 p.m. Thursday in the Kirbyville Central Baptist Church with the Rev. Percy H. Bailey, pastor, and the Rev. Robert Pate officiating.
Burial was in Zion Hill Cemetery with members of the Oddfellows Lodge of Kirbyville conducting graveside rites under the direction of Causey's E.E. Stringer Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Doyle Smith, Corbit Whitehead, B.C. Woods, Carlton Daugharty, Calvin Davis, Bill Miranda, J.F. Ferguson and Lou Chafin. Honorary pallbearers were Jasper County Judge Bilber Adams, Commissioners George May and Doyle Hancock and employees of Precinct Three.
West died at 5 a.m. Wednesday, June 30, 1971 in Jasper Memorial Hospital after a long illness. He was born in Roganville and was a lifelong resident of Jasper County. At one time he was a stump woods contractor. He served as Justice of the Peace of Precinct Three for one term and was serving his second four-year term as commissioner of the precinct. He was a Baptist and was Past Noble Grand of the local Oddfellows Lodge.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Jo Frances West, Four sons, Richard West of Kirbyville, Ernest West of Port Neches, David West of Pasadena and Glenn West of Orange; one daughter, Mrs. Laura Sims of Kirbyville; three brothers, Tim West of Austin, William West of Kirbyville and Mitchell West of Buna; one sister, Mrs. Mary Davis of Kirbyville and seven grandchildren.

He was found dead about 7:45 a.m. Saturday in his home in Kirbyville. A native of Pickering, La., he had lived here since 1932. He was a laborer.

A native of Roganville, he lived in Buna 44 years and was a retired Kirby Lumber Co. forester.

KIRBYVILLE – Mary McDonald Wetherington, 69, of Kirbyville died at 2:20 a.m. Thursday at University Hospital in Tampa, Fla., after an illness.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Causey’s E.E. Stringer Funeral Home with burial in Zion Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Wetherington, a Kirbyville native, was a retired office employee with American national Insurance Co. in LaPorte. She was a Kirbyville resident seven years following her retirement.
Survivors include her husband, I.G. Wetherington; three daughters, Betty Fyfe of Tampa, Fla., Burris Posey of LaPorte; and Joy DeGeorge; of Houston; a sister, Ruby Stark of Kirbyville; a brother, Alvin McDonald of Kirbyville; 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
