KIRBYVILLE – Annie Hodges Wilson, 76, of Houston died at 11:50 a.m. Sunday at Shady Acres Nursing Home in Newton after an illness.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Causey’s E.E. Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery in Port Arthur.
A native of Rockland, Texas, she was a former resident of Kirbyville and Port Arthur.
Survivors include a son, Ivy Wilson of Conroe; two daughters, Anita Bess of Kirbyville and June Williams of Houston; two sisters, Valentine Delik and Jimmie Robins, both of Jasper; 14 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

BUNA – Funeral services for Annie Wright Wilson, 92, were at 3 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church. Burial was in Antioch Cemetery under the direction of Causey’s E.E. Stringer Funeral Home.
She died late Saturday in a Buna Nursing home. She was a lifelong resident of the area.
Survivors include one sister, Mattie McMillan of Kirbyville; four step-daughters, Mrs. J.H. Derough of Port Arthur, Mrs. S.B. Durden of Silsbee, Mrs. L.E. Hall of Bon Wier and Mrs. Minnie Alice McKinney of Kirbyville, and three step-sons, J.K. Wilson of Brownsville, Ben Wilson of Call and Jesse Wilson of Port Arthur.

Funeral for B.P. Spud Wilson, 73, of Call was held at 10:00 a.m. Friday at Causey’s E.E. Stringer Funeral Home with burial in Bleakwood Cemetery.
He died at 1 a.m. Wednesday, September 12, 1979 at Newton County Memorial Hospital after an illness.
A native of Newton County, he had lived in Kirbyville nine years and was a retired refinery operator.
Survivors include his wife, Dovie west Wilson, a son John Wilson, both of Call; two brothers, J.K. Wilson Jr. of Brownsville, and Jesse Wilson of Port Arthur; four sisters, Russie Derrough, Josephine Hall, Minnie McKinney all of Bleakwood, and Ethel Durdin of Silsbee; and three grandchildren.

Funeral services of Berry A. Wilson, 86, were at 2 p.m. Thursday at the First United Methodist Church.
Burial was in the Newton City Cemetery under the direction of Griner Funeral Home.
Wilson died at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, in the Newton Memorial Hospital. He was a retired saw filer.
Survivors include two brothers, Ed Wilson of Kirbyville and Willie Wilson of Conroe, and three sisters, Bessie Greenwood of Newton, Hattie Goodman of Beaumont and Nep Richardson of Jasper.

Services for Burnice Wayne “Pop” Wilson, 76, of Beaumont will be today at 1:30 p.m. in the Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend P.A. Helms of Central Emanuel Baptist Church and Dr. Skip Schipper of First Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in forest Lawn memorial Park. Mr. Wilson died Tuesday at St. Elizabeth hospital after a brief illness.
He was a native of Kirbyville, having been a lifelong resident of Beaumont. He retired from Mobil Oil as a Lube Operator after many years of service; a member of the South Park Masonic Lodge #1329, a member of the Men’s Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church and was a member of the Central Emanuel Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Louise Wilson of Beaumont; son, Hubert W. Wilson of Beaumont; brother, Jerry L. Wilson of Beaumont; sisters, Louise Bower of Ardmore, OK and Dolores Hall of Beaumont; grandsons, Burnice Wayne Wilson II and Braun Wayne Wilson of Beaumont; great-grandson, Brock Wayne Wilson of Beaumont.
Services under direction of Forest Lawn Funeral Home.

A native of Singer, La., he lived in Kirbyville most of his life and was a retired pipefitter.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby Wilson of Kirbyville; three sons, Raymond Wilson of Port Neches, and Donald Wilson and Benny Wilson, both of Kirbyville; a daughter, Sue Hutchinson of Kirbyville; a brother, Jairet Wilson of Bridge City; four sisters, Vadie West of Kirbyville, Othella Bruggman of Texas City, Frankie Wallace of Silsbee and Ottie Loughridge of Livingston; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral service for David Earl Wilson, 53, of Greenville was held March 4 at Kavanaugh Methodist Church in Greenville with a graveside service March 5 at Kirbyville Cemetery under the direction of Causey’s E.E. Stringer Funeral Home of Kirbyville.
He died Friday at Baylor Hospital in Dallas after an illness.
A native of Kirbyville, he lived in Greenville for several years and was an electronics engineer for E. Systems. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Ardelle Wilson of Greenville; three sons, Dave Earle Wilson of the Philippines, John A. Wilson of Abilene and Kianoush Kian of Greenville; a brother, Buster B. Wilson of Kirbyville; three sisters, Thelma Hawkins and Elizabeth Downs, both of Kirbyville, and Mary Tom Daniels of Houston; and five grandchildren.

A funeral Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Orange with burial at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today with a Christian wake service at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
A native and longtime resident of Orange, he was employed with Wilson Motor Co.
Survivors include his parents, Scotty and Leaortha Wilson of Orange; sisters, Ginger Harrison of Deer Park and Becky May of Albany, Ore.; brother, Kevin Wilson of Dallas; and nieces and nephews.

Wilson of Silsbee and Owen Wilson of Buna; five brothers, Elbert Sheppard of Groves, and Albert Sheppard, Noga Sheppard, Elijah Sheppard and Bryan Sheppard, all of Buna; a sister, Sadie Stanley of Buna; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Evelyn Moak Wilson, 88, of Midway died Saturday, April 15 at Tyler County Hospital in Woodville.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Midway Community Church near Livingston with burial at Midway Cemetery under the direction of Riley Funeral Home in Woodville. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
A native of Lincoln County, Miss., and former resident of Groves 30 years, she lived in Polk County 31 years and was the owner/operator of Wilson’s Nursery in Groves.
Survivors include her sons, Bobby Wayne Wilson of Livingston, Thomas Kent Wilson of Port Arthur and E.O. Wilson Jr. of Nederland; daughter, Billie Ann White of Houston; sister, Addie Mae Lofton of Baton Rouge, La.; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Brothers Of Bon Wier Are Victims
KIRBYVILLE, Oct. 10 (Sp) - Hubert Wilson and Frank Wilson, brothers, were killed instantly by an auto accident on the Newton Highway (363) about a mile or two outside the Kirbyville city limits, about 7:30 a.m. Monday, October 10, 1955.
The men lived at Bon Wier.
They were driving a pickup truck.
a Stedman Co. truck from Beaumont was reported to be the other vehicle involved in the accident.
Hubert Wilson was 63 years old. Hubert retired from the Navy in 1924. He was a veteran of World War I, and had 12 years of service with the Navy. He belonged to the Methodist Church.
Frank Wilson, 53, was a retired Pure Oil Co. worker and a member of the Baptist Church.
Surviving them is a sister, Mrs. J.E. Bean of Deweyville.
Funeral Services will be held under direction of E.E. Stringer Funeral Home of Kirbyville, with burial at Wilson Cemetery near Bon Wier.
The driver of the Stedman Co. truck apparently was uninjured, it was reported. Other details of the accident had not been learned Monday morning. Bill Martin, Newton County attorney, and other officials were investigating.

A native of Jasper, he lived in Pasadena a number of years.

Funeral services for Hubert Wilson, 87, of Kirbyville were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Causey-Stringer Funeral Home. The Rev. Robert J. Pate, pastor of Kirbyville First Methodist Church, officiated. Pallbearers were Masons. Burial was in Kirbyville Cemetery with Masonic graveside rites.
Wilson died at 6 a.m. Saturday in Mixon Memorial Clinic after a long illness.
He was born in Newton County and had lived in Kirbyville more than 60 years. He was a member of Kirbyville Methodist Church and of the Nathan Corley Masonic Lodge 294.
He was a retired sawmill foreman.
Surviving are one sister, Mrs. May Wright of Kirbyville; three foster sons, Tom Wilson of Houston, E.W. Wilson of Beaumont, and Connell Wilson of Leesville, La., and one foster daughter, Mrs. Louise Bowen of Dallas.

Mrs. Wilson died at about 5:15 a.m. Friday in the Buna Medical Center after a long illness. She was born in the Leesmill Community near Newton and spent most of her life in Newton County.
She is survived by one son, M.A. Parker of Hardin, formerly of Beaumont, one sister, Mrs. Ollie Simmons of the Buna Medical Center; two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Friday in Kirbyville United Pentecostal Church. The Rev. C.C. Ballard will officiate, assisted by the Rev. W.E. Powell of Dayton and the Rev. T.W. Williams of Groves. Burial will be in Bean Cemetery under direction of Causey-Stringer Funeral Home.
She had lived most of her life in the Kirbyville area.
Surviving are three sons, Conard S. Wilson of Kirbyville, Wilber E. Wilson of Groves and Jarrett Wilson of Orange; four daughters, Mrs. Vadie West of Kirbyville, Mrs. Frankie Wallace of Silsbee, Mrs. Ottie Bell Loughridge of Seabrook and Mrs. Othella Bruggman of Texas City; 19 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Sarah E. Eaves of Merryville, La.
Grandsons will be pallbearers.
