ONALASKA - A memorial service for Richard Dean Clark, 50, of Onalaska were held Saturday, June 7, 2003, from the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Mitchell Murphy officiating.
Mr. Clark died Wednesday, May 28, in Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston.
He was born Oct. 20, 1952 in La Jolla, Calif., the son of David and and Doris Keech Clark.
Survivors include his father and mother, David Clark Sr. and Doris Clark of Encinitas, Calif.; son, Jason Clark of Eugene, Ore. and brothers, Chris Clark of Grass Valley, Calif. and David Clark Jr. of Encinitas, Calif.
Honorary pallbearers were David Yates, Richard Whatley, Ronnie Baughman, Eddie Wayne Davis and Doyle Lagow.
Byron Anthony Lyons Jr.
LIVINGSTON - Graveside services for infant Byron Anthony Lyons Jr., age 5 days, were held Saturday, May 31, 2003, from Greenfield Cemetery, with the Rev. C.W. Scales officiating.
He was born May 23, 2003 in Humble and died May 28 in Texas Children's Hospital in Houston.
Survivors include his father and mother, Byron and Sylvia Lyons of Livingston; sister, Kia Lyons of Livingston; grand-mother, LaRue Marshall of Livingston; great-grandmother, Helen C. Henderson of Livingston; aunt, Cassandra Gray and hus-band Drexel; uncles, Derrick Petty and Christopher Lyons and a host of great-aunts, great-uncles and friends.
Minister Byron Anthony Lyons Sr. served as pallbearer.

Freddie Lewis
LIVINGSTON - Funeral services for Mother Freddie Lewis, 75, of Livingston were held Saturday, June 7, 2003, from Bi-bleway Church of God in Christ, with Supt. C.W. Scales officiating. Interment followed in Carrington Cemetery in Seven Oaks.
Mrs. Lewis died June 2 in Pine Ridge Health Care.
She was born Oct. 5, 1927 in New Willard, the daughter of Charles and Callie Robinson Goss. She was a member of the Church of God in Christ.
Survivors include her daughters, Tara McGowen of Livingston and Tessie Cartwright of Lufkin; sons, Garcia Lewis and Robert Lewis, both of Cleveland, Keith Lewis and Joe Lewis, both of Houston and Tommie Lewis of Georgia; stepchildren, Jacqueline Lewis of Houston and Henry Lewis of Lufkin; sisters, Rose Magnum of Houston, Leslie Robinson of Jamaica and Gladys Pittman of Houston; brother, Willie Earl Gray of Huntsville; brother-in-law, Thurman Lewis and wife Esther of Hous-ton; 52 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers were T.K. Lewis, Garland Bass, Preston Lewis, Lamond Lewis, Robert Lewis, Keith D'Andre Lewis, Desmond Austin and Ron White. Honorary pallbearers were Garcia Lewis, Robert Lewis, Keith Lewis, Joe Lewis, Tommie Lewis and John L. McGowen.

James B. Atchley
LIVINGSTON - James B. Atchley, 77, died Thursday, May 22, 2003, at his residence in Livingston.
Funeral services were held Saturday, May 24, at Cochran Funeral Home, with the Rev. Lee Poe and the Rev. Bryan Dickens officiating. Burial followed in Jones Prairie Cemetery in Leggett. Military honors were provided by the VFW Post 8568 Honor Guard.
He was born Sept. 19, 1925 in Malta, the son of Roy and Susan Terral Atchley. Mr. Atchley served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, having attained the rank of Mailman 3rd Class. He was a life member of VFW Post 8568, member of Trinity Lodge No. 14, a Shriner and a member of the First Baptist Church in Livingston.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Robert Atchley; mother, Susan Liza Terral Atchley; brothers, Nolan Atchley, Wallace Atchley and Conner Atchley and sisters, Lessie Speaks and Nina Rue Atchley.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Atchley of Livingston; son and daughter-in-law, James Michael and Brenda Atchley of Leggett; daughter and son-in-law, Sue Atchley Owen and Jim Owen of Livingston; granddaughters, Jill Suzanne Owen and Holly Diana Owen, both of Livingston, and Randi Nichole Young of Leggett; grandson, Joshua Michael Atchley of Leggett; sisters-in-law, Alma Cummings, Doris Atchley, Maudell Atchley and Nell Atchley, all of Livingston, Myrtle Phillips of Leg-gett, Barbara and husband Robert Ferris of Arlington and Katherine Cummings of Channelview and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were James H. White, Ricky Manchaca, Ricky Peters, Brandy Vickery, Dwayne Vickery and Wallace Ray Atchley. Honorary pallbearers were the Men's Fellowship Sunday School Class and deacons of First Baptist Church.
Richard Jeryl Jones
LIVINGSTON - Richard Jeryl Jones, 58, died on Wednesday, May 21, 2003, at his residence in Livingston.
He was born on April 20, 1945 in Council Bluffs, Iowa, the son of Veryl Edward and Essie Dell Payne Jones. His father pre-ceded him in death.
He is survived by his mother, Essie Dell Payne Jones of Alma, Ark.; companion, Patricia Jones of Livingston; daughter, Carolyn "Candy" Jones of Nebraska and uncle, Jeryl Jones of Minden, Iowa.

Joseph Keith Noyes
LIVINGSTON - Joseph Keith Noyes, 80, of Livingston died on Thursday, May 21, 2003, in Memorial Medical Center - Livingston.
He was born on Jan. 26, 1923 in Fort Lewis, Wash. Mr. Noyes served in the U.S. Army during World War II and the Korean conflict. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
He is survived by his son, Kipp Noyes of Livingston.

Timothy Boyd Landrum
LIVINGSTON - Timothy Boyd Landrum, 43, of Livingston died Friday, May 23, 2003.
A memorial service was held Monday, May 26, at the First Assembly of God Church of Corrigan, with the Rev. Phil Corbett officiating.
Mr. Landrum was born on Aug. 1, 1959 in Beaumont to parents Jessie Lee and Willie Jean Dornan Landrum. He was a ma-chinist in the lumber industry and had been a Livingston resident for four years, moving from Lufkin.
Survivors include a son, Aaron Landrum of Lufkin; six brothers, Jeff of Livingston, Jessie of Florida, Larry of Spokane, Wash., James of Lumberton, David of Lufkin and Olen Rivers of Henderson; and two sisters, Janie Schaeffer of San Augustine and Vonetta Alsbrooks of Corrigan.

Lillian Watson Holden
LIVINGSTON - Lillian Watson Collier Holden, 83, affectionately known as Lillie, died Friday, May 23, 2003, in Silsbee Oaks Nursing Home in Silsbee, where she had been a resident for many years.
Graveside services were held Saturday, May 31, at Peebles Cemetery near Goodrich, with Bro. Arthur Payne officiating.
Mrs. Holden was born on April 21, 1920 in Madisonville to parents Lemuel and Laura Ferguson Watson. She grew up around Bedias, Madisonville, Steep Creek and was a former Livingston resident. She was known as a loving mother, grand-mother and great-grandmother who loved her "kids" and had many around her most of every day. After her marriage to Frank Collier in Bedias, they later moved to Madisonville, where they owned and operated an ice house and were known for the coldest "cokes" and watermelons ever in the summer. They also had a newspaper route. Years later, after Lillie and Frank di-vorced, she moved to Dallas and lived there for several years, finally settling in Livingston, where she married Louie Holden. Following the death of Louie, she lived with her daughter, Ann Collier Carr. She was preceded in death by husbands, Frank Collier and Louie Holden; children, Ann Carr, Roman Collier, Betsy May Ellis, Sybill Collier and Ruby Jewel Collier; and brothers, Melvin Leon Watson and Wilburn Dexter Watson.
Survivors include a sister, Billie Maudine Watson Moore; her special grandchildren, Lisa Shaffer, Craig Steven Monday and wife Angela, Clifton Leon Munday and Carla; and special friend of the family, Teresa Tomlinson. She had many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and also had many nieces and nephews and special niece, Carolynn Hand. Other surviving stepchil-dren include Steve and Ronnie Holden and Paula Sue.

WOODVILLE - Danny Carl Brown Jr., 23, of Chester, died Sunday, May 25, 2003, in Chester.
Funeral services were held Saturday, May 31, at Chester High School, with the Rev. V.A. Huelett and the Rev. Hester offici-ating. Burial followed in Lillie Island Cemetery in Chester.
Survivors include his parents, Vilar Brown of Chester and Danny Brown Sr. of Corrigan; sisters, Frances Brown of Leggett and Devenna Critic of Chester and grandparents, Betty Barlow of Leggett and Pinkie Brown of Corrigan.

Mildred Bernice Wilson
ONALASKA - A memorial service for Mildred Bernice Wilson, 70, was held Saturday, May 31, 2003, from the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Onalaska.
Mrs. Wilson died Monday, May 26, at her residence in Onalaska.
She was born May 4, 1933 in Houston, the daughter of William Starling Reynolds and Evie Mosey Albritton Reynolds. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Dorothy Hazelip and Geneva May Reynolds.
Survivors include her husband, Wilton A. "Doug" Wilson Jr. of Onalaska; son, Douglas A. Wilson of Prim, Ariz.; daughters, Deborah A. Mast of Sante Fe and Donna S. Voytek of Phoenix, Ariz.; sisters, Marie Fontenot of Kemah, Helen McCoy of South Houston, Hazel Rose of Victoria and Daisy Wilson of Houston; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Charles "Mac" MacKenzie
LIVINGSTON - Funeral services for Charles "Mac" MacKenzie, 80, of Livingston were held Friday, May 30, 2003, from the First United Methodist Church in Livingston, with Dr. Tom Kennedy and the Rev. Mary Shivers officiating.
Mr. MacKenzie died Sunday, May 25, in Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.
He was born June 30, 1922 in Lakewood, Ohio, the son of John and Catherine MacKenzie MacKenzie. He married Margie Lewis MacKenzie on March 30, 1962 in Houston. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Livingston. He loved golf and was a member of Riverbend Country Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.
Survivors include his wife, Margie Lewis MacKenzie of Livingston; son and daughter-in-law, Douglas and Debbie MacKenzie of Canton; son, Brian MacKenzie of Houston; daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Charlie Reynolds of Navasota; daughter, Sandra Peralta of Honolulu, HI; four grandchildren and sister, Marion Marshal of The Pacific Palaisades, Calif.
The Inspiration Sunday School Class and Livingston Ladies Golf Association served as honorary pallbearers.

Jeain Marie Holcombe
LIVINGSTON - Funeral services for Jeain Marie Holcombe, 77, were held Thursday, May 29, 2003, from the Cochran Fu-neral Home Chapel, with Dr. Don Willis officiating. Burial followed in Forest Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Holcombe died Tuesday, May 27, at her residence in Goodrich.
She was born March 9, 1926 in Polk County, the daughter of Willie and Julia Jones Chandler. She was a member of the Methodist Church in Goodrich and loved to quilt. She also was known as someone who enjoyed her family and gardening. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, William Rogers; second husband, Ray Holcombe; brothers, R.P. Chandler, William Chandler, Johnny Chandler and Jim Chandler; sisters, Ora Mae Davis and Cybil Mulligan and granddaughter, Candy Bergman.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Jullie and James Bergman of Livingston; grandson and wife, Dandy and Karen Bergman of Livingston; granddaughter, Molly Bergman of Livingston; granddaughter and husband, Tracey and Craig Scasta of Hearne; great-granddaughters, Candy Moore of Livingston, Hallie Scasta of Hearne and Rebecca Scasta of Hearne; great-grandson, J.L. Bergman of Livingston and numerous nieces and nephews.

Loretta Galanopoulos
LIVINGSTON - Graveside services for Loretta Galanopoulos, 78, were held Thursday, May 29, 2003, from Peebles Ceme-tery, with the Rev. Shane Norcross officiating.
She died Wednesday, May 28, in Mariner Health of Cypress Wood in Houston.
She was born July 12, 1924 in Manchester, N.H., the daughter of John and Annastacia Molingos Galanopoulos, both of whom preceded her in death. She was a member of Long Point Baptist Church in Houston and was known as someone who was devoted to her church and family, generous and a devoted servant to God.
Survivors include her sisters, Catherine Barfield of Livingston, Christine Shull of Garland, Ruth Galanopoulos of Houston and Susanne Watts of Houston; brother, Paul Galanopoulos of Houston and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
