LIVINGSTON - Funeral services for Jessie Mae Harrison, 73, of Corrigan, previously of Livingston, were held Saturday, March 1, 2003, from Bibleway Church of God in Christ, with the Rev. James Dunn officiating. Interment will follow in St. Andrews Cemetery in Onalaska.
Mrs. Harrison died Feb. 19 in Lufkin.
She was born March 12, 1929 in Onalaska, the daughter of Jessie Johnson and Fannie Mae Williams. Mrs. Harrison was a retired custodian and a member of the Church of God in Christ.
Survivors include her daughter, Murl Hubert and husband James of Corrigan; four grandchildren, Michael R. Love of Livingston and wife Sandra Love, and Quashanda, Anthony and Lacy, all of Corrigan; nine great-grandchildren, Racheal, Mikala, Shania, Michael Jr., Colby, Laci, Anthony Jr., Naki and Jaknia; two brothers, Robert Johnson and wife Johnnie Lee of Leggett and Ben Johnson of Houston; six sisters, Louanne Seale, Johnnie Lee Fransaw, Mattie Fransaw and husband Auther Lewis, all of Houston, Rosetta Eleby and husband Alex, Minnie Lee and husband Perry Love and Ruby Murl Shine and husband Odis, all of Corrigan; sister-in-law, Samantha Johnson of Corrigan and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers were Odis Shine Jr., Lowell Fransaw Jr., Eric Daniels, Mark Hubert, Larry Ryans, Demetrius Cooper, Teuthus Love and Raymond Hubert. Honorary pallbearers were deacons of the church.

LIVINGSTON - Funeral services for Henry Ditzly Alston Jr., 82, of Livingston were held Friday, Feb. 28, 2002, from the First United Methodist Church, with Dr. Tom Kennedy and the Rev. Mary Shivers officiating. Interment followed in Forest Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Alston died Tuesday, Feb. 25, in Livingston.
He was born Sept. 13, 1920 in Corrigan, the son of Henry and Hilma Cravey Alston Sr., both of whom preceded him in death. He married Faye Handley Alston on Nov. 18, 1949. Mr. Alston served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Faye Handley Alston of Livingston; daughters and sons-in-law, Cynthia and Don Walter of Houston and Martha and Kerry Hogue of Allen; son and daughter-in-law, Hank and Mary Beth Alston of Friendswood; grandsons, Douglas and wife Valerie Walter, Bill Walter, Justin Hogue, James Hogue and Stevie Hogue; granddaughters, Melissa Alston, Emily Walter, Julia Alston, Mary Margaret Alston and Stephanie Alston; great-granddaughter, Tessa Walter; brother, John C. Alston of Livingston and sister, Emma Lou Rabel of Weimar.

Larry Mitchell Ross
LIVINGSTON - Funeral services for Larry Mitchell Ross, 48, were held Monday, March 3, 2003, from Spring Woods Baptist Church, with Bro. C.O. Herchenhahn officiating.
Mr. Ross died Wednesday, Feb. 26, in Memorial Medical Center - Livingston.
He was born Nov. 6, 1954 in Houston, the son of Albert Mitchell Ross and Lottie Mae Parish Ross, both of whom preceded him in death.
Survivors include his daughters, Lori and husband Corley Twidwell of Houston and Lisa Ross of Houston; granddaughter, Haley Twidwell of Houston; sisters, Linda Bertrand of Houston, Susan Elherhorst of Houston, Kathie Livingston of West and Cheryl Singleton of Houston; brother, David Ross of Houston; stepmother, Joyce Ross of Houston and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jarrod Dwayne Humble
LIVINGSTON - Jarrod Dwayne Humble, 19, of Dallardsville died Thursday, Feb. 27, 2003, in a Houston hospital.
Services were held Sunday, March 2, from Big Sandy Community Church, with the Rev. Rex Hendrix officiating. Interment followed in Big Sandy Cemetery.
Jarrod was born on April 20, 1983 in Galveston. He was a lifetime resident of Polk County and attended Big Sandy schools. He was a member of the Big Sandy Community Church. He was known as a loving and caring person who had a smile for everyone he met.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Debra and John Courtney of Corrigan; grandparents, with whom he lived, Dwayne and Mary Ann Humble of Dallardsville; brothers, Cody, Jacob, John Eric and Seth Courtney; sisters, Amanda Nichols and Sara McGowen; aunts and uncles, Donna Feimster and husband Richard of Dallardsville; Darla Campbell and husband David of Livingston; Ronald Humble of Livingston, Brenda Doucet and husband Mark of Bay City and Randy Metz and wife Leah of Bandera and numerous cousins and other family members.

Jason Allen Smith II
LIVINGSTON - Funeral services for Jason Allen Smith II of Willis were held Monday, March 3, 2003, from the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, with the Rev. Fred Alford officiating. Interment followed in Bold Springs Cemetery.
Jason was born on Nov. 21, 1999 in Livingston and died on Feb. 26, 2003.

Royce "Roycie" Glynn Allen Alderson
DANVILLE, VA - Royce Glynn Allen "Roycie" Alderson died Monday, Feb. 17, 2003 in Danville, Va. after a brief illness.
She was born in Oil City, La. on Aug. 20, 1924 but spent most of her life in Livingston and Shreveport. She was preceded in death by her parents Clara Ethyl Straughan and William Alonzo Allen; her sisters Evelyn Fowler (Mrs. J. E.), Ruth Bender (Mrs. Benny), Katherine Lee (Mrs. Palma) and her "little brother" W. A. Allen, Jr.
Her survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Dr. Lucindy E. and Michael D. Willis of Yanceyville, N.C., her son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Judy Windham Alderson of Shreveport; her granddaughter, Ashley Collier, Yanceyville, N.C., her grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Allen and Mitzi Willis of Raleigh, NC, great-grandsons Parker Allen Willis and Austin Collier and great granddaughter, Alden Willis; her nieces Rona Fowler of Shreveport, Bennie Wilson and husband Paul of Blanchard and Clair Ruth Casper and husband Jim, of Yuma, Ariz.; and her great-nieces and nephews Allen Lee Cook, Randy Wilson, Kathy Rasberry, Amelia Turner, Sarah Stein, Susan Clark.
Roycie was a former member of the Central Baptist Church in Livingston. She served as a legal secretary for Barney Wiggins Land Company in Livingston, Judge James Bolin at the Louisiana Second Circuit Court of Appeals and for years with the Shreveport law firm Blanchard, Walker, O'Quin and Roberts. She loved playing bridge, solving crossword puzzles, feeding birds and taking in stray critters. She was a voracious reader with a lifelong passion for music. A Kappa Phi Delta sorority member at Byrd High School, Shreveport, she was an accomplished bass violin player and a member of the Byrd Symphony. She appeared with symphony orchestras in Marshall, Texas, Shreveport and Houston, in addition to the Shreveport Municipal Concert Band.
Following private burial, a visitation was held at the home of Rona Fowler in Shreveport on Thursday, Feb. 27. Donations may be made to your local Humane Society or the charity of your choice.
Vincent "Cappy" Capuano Sr.
LIVINGSTON - Graveside services for Vincent Aloi "Cappy" Capuano Sr., 77, were held Monday, March 3, 2003, from Camp Ruby Cemetery, with Lindell Mitchell officiating. Military honors were provided by the VFW Post 8568 Honor Guard.
Mr. Capuano died Friday, Feb. 28, at his residence in Livingston.
He was born July 26, 1925 in Shreveport, La., the son of Joseph and Sidonia Aloi Capuano. Mr. Capuano was a member of the Church of Christ in Livingston and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Capuano; father, Joseph Frank Capuano; mother, Sidonia Angeline Aloi Capuano and brothers, Joe Capuano, Frank Capuano, Johnny Capuano and Nick Capuano.

LIVINGSTON - A mass of Christian burial for Lucy Mary LaCombe Charrier, 75, was held Tuesday, March 4, 2003, from St. Joseph's Catholic Church, with Father Clifton Labbe officiating. Burial followed in Magnolia Cemetery in Onalaska. A rosary was held Monday, March 3, at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel.
Mrs. Charrier died Saturday, March 1, in Livingston.
She was born Nov. 24, 1927 in Echo, La., the daughter of Estine and Cleophine LaCombe. She graduated from Poland High School in Poland, La. in 1947. Mrs. Charrier was the credit union manager for the Port of Houston for over 20 years. She and her husband Lawrence moved to Onalaska, where they owned and operated The Dairy Mart, Steakhouse and Resale Shop. Mrs. Charrier was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Livingston. She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Patricia Hensley.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Sheryl and Darrol Vincent of Onalaska, Carolyn and J.D. Deathrage of Houston, Deborah and James D. Heard Sr. of Cleveland and Donna and Darrell Longino of Goodrich; son-in-law, Ronnie Hensley of Houston; granddaughters, Noelle Vincent Thompson and husband James, Amanda Hensley, Jamie Latour, Stephanie Heard Vandver and husband Pete and Kaitlyn Marie Longino; grandsons, D.R. Ira "Happy" Brymer
WEBSTER - Ira "Happy" Brymer, 94, of Houston died on Saturday, March 1, 2003.
She was a member of Freeway Manor Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son, Lloyd Brymer and wife Jean of Livingston; two daughters; four granddaughters; two great-grandsons and three great-granddaughters.
Funeral services were held Monday, March 3, in the chapel of Forest Park East Funeral Home. Interment followed in Forest Hill Park East Cemetery.
Laura Odom McWhorter
JASPER - Funeral services for Laura Odom McWhorter, 91, of Jasper were held Wednesday, March 5, 2003, from the First United Methodist Church in Jasper. Burial followed in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. McWhorter died Sunday, March 2, in Avalon Nursing Home in Kirbyville. She was a native of Toledo Bend and life-long resident of Jasper. She was a member of the Jasper Bowling League.
Survivors include her two sons, Robert McWhorter of Jasper and Frank McWhorter of Livingston; on daughter, Harriet Horn of Magnolia Springs; one brother, R.L. Odom of Jasper; two sisters, Theo Ryall of Tyler and Estelleen Miller of Mayflower; four grandchildren, Charles McWhorter, Wendy McWhorter, Angela Connauton and Larry Allen Horn and six great-grandchildren.

C.L. "Charlie" Reddicks
LIVINGSTON - Funeral services for C.L. "Charlie" Reddicks, 87, were held Thursday, March 6, 2003, from the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Frank Hood officiating. Burial followed in Camp Ruby Cemetery.
Mr. Reddicks died on Monday, March 3, at his residence in Indian Springs Lake Estates.
He was born Aug. 3, 1915 in Saratoga, the son of James and Mary Rowell Reddicks. He and Beatrice Reddicks were married on Nov. 14, 1942 in Houston. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, having attained the rank of private. He enlisted on July 19, 1945 and was discharged on Dec. 5, 1945. Mr. Reddicks served as a board member, superintendent of Sunday school, Sunday school teacher and caravan director in the Church of The Nazarene. He was preceded in death by one son, Charles Reddicks.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma Beatrice Reddicks of Indian Springs Lake Estates; sons, Wayne Reddicks of Calfon, Wis., Donald Reddicks of Houston and James Reddicks of Marshall, Ark.; sisters, Shirley Ray of Cleburn and Eunice Whitley of West Columbia; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Gene Farrar of Indian Springs Lake Estates and daughter-in-law, Barbara Farrar of Indian Springs Lake Estates.

Lorraine Roper
LIVINGSTON - Funeral services for Lorraine Roper, 74, were held Monday, Feb. 24, 2003, from the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Ray Gearing officiating.
Mrs. Roper died Wednesday, Feb. 19, in Memorial Health System of East Texas in Lufkin.
She was born March 14, 1928 in Santa Maria. She married Mack M. Roper in McAllen on Aug. 22, 1952. Mrs. Roper was preceded in death by her father, Cecil Crossland, and her mother, Bernice G. Harpster.
Survivors include her husband, Mack Roper of Rye; sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Glenda Stafford of Deer Park and James and Olga Stafford of Crosby; grandchildren, Angie, Ronny, Lori, Kim, Jill, Brandi, Richard Ryan, Benny, Cindy and Tony and 13 great-grandchildren.

Annie Belle Walding Tullos
LIVINGSTON - Funeral services for Annie Belle Walding Tullos, 59, were held Saturday, Feb. 22, 2003, from the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Daniel Pitts officiating. Interment followed in Menard Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Tullos died Wednesday, Feb. 19, in North East Medical Hospital in Humble.
She was born March 19, 1943 in New Willard, the daughter of Autrey "Doc" Evan Walding and Ethel Agnes McAdams Walding, both of whom preceded her in death. She married Burt Tullos on May 15, 1964 in Houston. Mrs. Tullos was a member of North Harris County Baptist Temple.

Lucille V. Waldrep
LIVINGSTON - Funeral services for Lucille V. Waldrep, 88, were held Saturday, Feb. 22, 2003, from the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Harold Isaacs officiating. Interment followed in Midway Cemetery.
Mrs. Waldrep died Thursday, Feb. 20, in Tyler County Hospital in Woodville.
She was born March 12, 1914 in Jackson, Mich., the daughter of Decator and Sadie Lyon. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister. Mrs. Waldrep was a member of Kingsland Church of Christ and was active in church and with the senior citizens.

John Christopher Davis
LIVINGSTON - Funeral services for John Christopher Davis, 53, were held Monday, Feb. 24, 2003, from the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Michael Bell officiating. Military honors were provided by VFW Post 8568.
Mr. Davis died Friday, Feb. 21, at his residence in Goodrich.
He was born Aug. 3, 1949 in Houston, the son of Weldon and Virginia Siking Davis, both of whom preceded him in death. Mr. Davis served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam conflict.
Survivors include his wife, Mavis; brothers, Weldon Davis of Porter and Joe Davis of Seabrook; sister, Virginia Martin of Topeka, Kan.; daughter and son-in-law, Melissa Lynn and Keith Lewis of Baytown; daughter, Kaycee Rae Davis and granddaughter, Harlee Lewis of Baytown.
Lydia Jordan Hubbard
COLDSPRING - Lydia A. Jordan Hubbard, born March 18, 1912 in Hawthorne, died on Feb. 21, 2003.
She had resided in Camilla for the past 15 years. It was her childhood home. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Coldspring. She had formerly resided in San Antonio for 48 years, where she was employed as a bookkeeper. She was a member of the Gardening Club and enjoyed sharing her knowledge of flowers with anyone who would listen.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James A. and Rosanna Jordan; husband, Lester L. Hubbard; sister, Florence Hayman and brothers, Obie Lee Jordan, Sherwood Jordan and Herbert Jordan.
Survivors include a daughter, Sharon Evans; sons William C. "Neil" Robison and wife Arlene; William L. Hubbard and wife Barbara and Charles D. Hubbard and wife Mildred; nine grandchildren, Terri Sue Reising and husband Kent, W.D. "Bud" Robison and wife Chris, Aaron Robison and wife Geralynn, Greg Hubbard, Bryce Hubbard, Chuck Hubbard, Kirk Hubbard, Lester Hubbard and Dusky Evans; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Lucille Stohler and Sue Shotwell and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 24, from Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Coldspring, with burial following in Old Waverly Cemetery. Her grandsons served as pallbearers.
Betty Lou Siegal
LIVINGSTON - Funeral services for Betty Lou Siegal of Livingston were held Thursday, Feb. 27, 2003, from Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive in Houston.
Mrs. Siegal was born on Jan. 20, 1931 in St. Louis, Mo. and died Feb. 23 in Livingston. A resident of Livingston for the past 10 years, she previously lived in Houston.
Survivors include her husband, Carl E. Siegal; son, Christopher L. Plumb and wife Elaine; daughter, Constance L. Garcia and husband Simon; three grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Eula "Hazel" Eska
LIVINGSTON - Funeral services for Eula "Hazel" Eska were held Saturday, March 1, 2003, at Central Baptist Church in Livingston with the Rev. Jim Daniel and Dr. Ben Welmaker officiating. Interment followed in Forest Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Eska was born Feb. 12, 1917 and died on Feb. 25.
She was preceded in death by her husband, E.W. "Pete" Eska, in August 1983; her parents, Charles and Ibby Fuller; sisters, Ruby Chambers and Inez Sullivan and brother, Charles F. Fuller.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Terry and Pat Eska of Gonzales; son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Sherry Eska of Pasadena; sisters, Mabel Allbritton of Deer Park and Imogene Hallford of San Antonio; sister-in-law, Blanche Moffett and husband Garrison Moffett of Crockett; granddaughters, Elizabeth Eska of Chicago, Ill. and Haley Eska of Pasadena; and grandsons, Christopher Eska of Los Angeles, Calif. and Jarrod Eska of Pasadena.
Mrs. Eska was an educator and librarian for over 35 years in Edna, Goodrich and Houston. She retired from the Pasadena Independent School District in 1978. She also taught Sunday school for many years at Second Baptist Church in Pasadena and Central Baptist Church in Livingston. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church in Pasadena at the time of her death.
Pallbearers were Christopher Eska, Jarrod Eska, John Sullivan, Don Fuller, Keith Mayes and Charles Johnson. Honorary pallbearer was Garrison Moffett.
