Willie Mae Jasek
Willie Mae Jasek, 66, died Monday February 4, 2002 in a Houston hospital.
She is survived by her sisters, Olga Gully of Fayetteville, Effie Ann Piwetz and husband Florian of Houston and Marian Prihoda and husband Clarence of Bryan/College Station; brother, Lawrence A. Jasek and wife Verline of Houston; sister-in-law, Helen Jasek of Bay City; 12 nieces and 13 nephews.
Friends are invited to visitation with the family from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday February 6th in the Chapel of George H. Lewis and Sons, 1010 Bering Dr. in Houston. A vigil will be recited Wednesday at 3:00 p.m.
A funeral mass for Willie Mae Jasek will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday February 7th at St. John’s Catholic Church in Fayetteville with Father Ben Mazurkiewicz as celebrant.
Rite of committal will follow at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery.

Ophelia Hogan
Ophelia Hogan died at her residence on January 31, 2002.
Funeral services for Ophelia Hogan will be held Saturday, February 2nd at 11:30 a.m. at the Souls Chapel AME Church in Brenham, Rev. Felix Phillips will officiate with burial in the Souls Chapel Cemetery.

Odie Steenken
Odie "Sonny" Steenken, 81, of Burton, died February 1, 2002 in Trinity Medical Center in Brenham.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Fritz Odie and Karen Steenken of Burton; stepson and daughter-in-law, Michael and Pattie Waneck of Saudi Arabia; grandchildren, Tyler Steenken of Burton arid Tanner Steenken of Burton; 6 stepgrandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ouida and Leslie Rohde of Bastrop and Doris and Greg James of Houston.
The funeral service for Odie "Sonny" Steenken wi1l be held at 2:00 pm. Sunday in St. John’s United Church of Christ in Burton with Pastor Glen Schoeneberg officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Lea Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors at Foehner Funeral Home in Burton from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday February 2nd.

Erich Glenewinkel
Erich C. Glenewinkel, age 81, of Bleiblerville and husband of Loraine Glenewinkel died Friday February 1, 2002 at his residence.
The family will receive friends at Brenham Memorial Chapel on Saturday, February 2, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Funeral service for Erich C. Glenewinkel will be held on Sunday, February 3, at 2:00 p.m. in Salem Evangelical Lutheran of Welcome with Rev. Mike Groseclose officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.

Minnie Weiss
Minnie Weiss, 84, of Brenham, the widow of Dan Weiss, died Thursday, January 31, 2002 in Trinity Medical Center in Brenham.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Virginia Lea and Charles Haberman of Austin and Ann Jennette and Kenneth Pieper of Brenham: grandchildren, Camille Elaine Haberman of Austin, Patrick Haberman of Austin, Jennifer Anne Haberman of Austin, Kim Deree and Rocky Jones of Brenham and Tammy and Chris Bugaj of Brenham; three great-grandchildren, Dylan Michael Haberman and Ian Charles Haberman of Austin and Kyle Christopher Bugaj of Brenham; sisters, Emma Sander and Verlin Boecker, both of Brenham; brother and sister-in-law, Melvin and Margaret Tiemann of Brenham; and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Marie Weiss of Lufkin, Dr. Arch and Esther Coleman of Waco arid Gladys Tiemann of Bellville.
The funeral service for Minnie Weiss will be held Saturday, February 2nd at 11:00 a.m. in First United Methodist Church in Brenham with Dr. Wesley Wellborn and Rev. Fred Trevino officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham.

Clarence Haar
Clarence Haar, 69, of Houston, passed away on Sunday in Houston.
He is survived by his wife, Margie Haar of Houston; daughters, Connie Alter and husband Bruce of Miami, Florida, Linda Grebe Vaughn of Bryan and Robin Haar of North Hollywood, California; brother, Alton Haar and wife Barbara of Brenham; grandchildren, Brandon and Jamie Grebe and Jason and Nicholas Alter.
The funeral service for Clarence Haar will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 19, 2001 in Advent Lutheran Church in Houston with Pastor Larry Beck officiating. The graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 19th at St. Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery in Rehburg.

Felix Luhn
Felix (Boots) Luhn Jr., age 75, of Brenham and the husband of Ruby Schaffney Luhn died Saturday, December 15, in a local hospital.
Mr. Luhn was retired from Blue Bell Creameries and for a number of years he was a Brenham Volunteer Fireman.
He is survived by his wife Ruby; son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Dotsy Lunh of Brenham, a daughter, Debra Howell of Redondo Beach, Ca.; grandchildren, Christi & Bill Hohlt of Brenham and Ron Luhn of Brenham, Clarence Howell, Jr., Justin Howell, Michael Howell, Mikayla Howell all of Redondo Beach, Ca; great-grandchildren, Tyler Hohlt, Wyatt Hohlt and Kyle Luhn. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Nolan and Landine Luhn of Coffeyville, KS; Sister, Elvie Koronka of Huntsville; father-in-law, William Schaffner of Bellville; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Billy and Doris Schaffner of Sealy; along with numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.
Funeral service for Felix Luhn will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 18, 2001 in St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Brenham with Pastor Lawrence Bade and Pastor Kim Little-Brook officiating, interment to follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends and relatives at the funeral home Monday December 17, 2001 from 6-8 p.m. Memorial may be given to St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church. Cecil Krause
Cecil Krause, age 76 years of Round Top, passed away Sunday morning.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 18, 2001, from Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Round Top with interment to follow in Hill Cemetery. A Prayer service is scheduled for 7 p.m. Monday, December 17, 2001 at the Koenig & Strickland Chapel.
Mrs. Cecil Krause is survived by: Daughter: Pearlie Wagner & her husband Wayne of Round Top. Twin Brother: Kermit Muske & his wife Josie Lee of Houston. A Sister: Ora Del Swahn of San Antonio, 3 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren also survive.
She was preceded in death by her husband Johnny Krause who passed away in 1990, by her parents, and by 2 brothers.
Friends may call at the Koenig & Strickland Chapel after 2 p.m. Monday, December 17, 2001. Memorial contributions may be made to Bethlehem Lutheran Church, the American Cancer Society or to the charity of your choice.
