Henrietta S. Ahrens, 86, of Brenham, died Tuesday in Trinity Medical Center in Brenham.
Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Arlene Ahrens of Brenham; grandchildren, Duane Ahrens, Jamie Ahrens and James Allan Ahrens Jr., all of Brenham; great-granddaughter, Courtney Andersen; and sister-in-law, Belle Schuette of Woodville.
The funeral service for Henrietta Ahrens will be at 11:00 am. Thursday, April 5, 2001 in Eben-Ezer Lutheran Church of Berlin with Pastor Roger Semmler officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, 2001 in Memorial Oaks Chapel.

Clyde Smith, 80 of Washington died at 2:55 a.m., Friday at Grimes St. Joseph Health Center.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 4, 2001 at Friedens Church of Washington, U.C.C. Interment will be in Friedens Church Cemetery under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel. Mabel Bosse
Mabel Bosse, 80, of Washington, died Thursday in Gazebo Terrace Convalescent Center in Brenham.
Survivors include her husband, Herbert Bosse of Washington; sons and daughter-in-law, Delphine Randermann and Nelson and Diana Randermann, all of Brenham; daughter and son-in-law, Shirley Ann and Arnold Dreyer Jr. of Brenham; 7 grandchildren and their spouses, Alan and Lisa Dreyer, Amy and Michael Flynn, Ann and Joe Garnett, Debra and Devin Giammalva, Ranell and Gary Goessler, Randy and Brandye Randermann and Amber and Jon Westerfeld; 15 great-grandchildren, Amanda and Andrea Dreyer, Spencer and Oliver Flynn, Dickson, Pearson, Sully and Taylor Garnett. Gus Lindemann
Gustav Gus F. Lindemann, 86, of La Grange, Texas, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 10, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. Gus was born in Willow Springs, Texas on October 22, 1930, the son of Albert H. Lindemann and Lydia (Muenzler) Lindemann. Gus married Marian Krenek on September 7, 1952 at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Frelsburg, Texas. As a teenager, Gus operated his family farm. Upon moving to La Grange, he worked as a salesman at Ed’s Household Store and later at Brasher Motor Company. In 1957, he opened the Lindemann Farmers Insurance Agency and two years later added Lindemann Real Estate. He worked as a Farmers agent for 45 years, where he achieved the highest levels of Company recognition. He worked in real estate for 57 years, and was honored in 2009 as a 50-year licensed broker in the state of Texas by the Texas Real Estate Commission. He also worked as a rural mail carrier during the early years of his insurance and real estate careers. He has been on the Board of Directors for Farmers Lumber Company and La Grange State Bank (now Prosperity Bank) and was a founding member of Frisch Auf Country Club. He was also a member of the La Grange Area Chamber of Commerce and La Grange Noon Lions Club, serving as song leader for 17 years. Gus was also an accomplished musician and performer playing his beloved trumpet for numerous bands, including the Lee Isle Orchestra, the Ray Baca Band, the Les Blume Orchestra, and for 25 years his own band, the Gus Lindemann Orchestra. As a result of his musical talents, he was also asked to perform at many church, family, social and civic functions. He became a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in 1953. He was an Usher and Greeter, as well as a Eucharistic Minister at the church for many years. He was also a long-time member of the Sacred Heart Parish Finance Board having served during the planning and building of the present Church and other improvements. He was a member of the Holy Name Society and served as President and Secretary of the organization. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and also was an active participant in acquiring the existing Knights of Columbus location and soliciting funds for the facility. Gus was very active in the La Grange Little League Baseball program for many years. Another passion that Gus had was working on his farm and tending to his cattle. He also loved to travel. His greatest pleasure was spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Marian, of 64 years; four sons: Howard Lindemann and wife, Liz Shelby, of Austin, TX; Harold Lindemann and wife, Lisa, of Austin, TX; Jeffery Lindemann and wife, Karen, of Peyton, Colorado; and John Lindemann and wife, Alison, of Santa Clarita, California; two sisters: Gloria Krause of New Ulm, TX; and Rose Mary Carter of Pell City, Alabama; seven grandchildren: Amanda Darrow, Zach Lindemann, Luke Lindemann, Chelsea Lindemann, Katie Cabe, Shane Lindemann and Chase Lindemann; two great grandchildren: Ivan Cabe and Zoey Lindemann; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Kermit and Karl Lindemann; and sister, Marian Tietjen. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Koenig & Strickland Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 539 E. Mae Ola Grebe, age 87 of Brenham and the widow of Edwin Grebe, Jr., passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2017. Elo John Junek, Sr., 91, of Snook went to his heavenly home on Wednesday, February 15. Visitation will be Friday, February 17, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Strickland Funeral Home in Somerville. Services will be Saturday, February 18, 2 pm at the Hope Evangelical Free Church of College Station, with interment to follow at Snook Cemetery. Elo Junek was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. He married the love of his life, Lynn Thomas Junek on December 26, 1948. The couple had four children together. He enjoyed being around people and socializing. He could be found most times at Sodolaks having coffee with the boys or in his garden. He was a member of Hope Evangelical Free Church, The American Legion, Lee Scott Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rites and Order of the Eastern Star. He is preceded in death by his parents, John Adam Junek, Hermania Orsak, son, Elo John Junek, Jr., sister, Doris Matcek and brother, Johnnie Junek. He is survived by his wife, Lynn Junek, son, Terry Lynn Junek and wife Patricia, daughters, Beverly Derkowski and husband Larry, Linda Baumann and husband Jack, brothers, Clarence Junek and wife Dallia, Frank Junek and wife Mildred, fifteen grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. Marilyn Palm Becker, 72, wife of H. C. Becker, died February 13, 2017 at her residence in Katy. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Friday, February 17, 2017 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Phillipsburg, with Pastor Robert Sorensen officiating. Marilyn was born on March 12, 1944 in Bellville, Texas to Myrtle (Vornkahl) and Fred Palm, Jr. She was raised in Milheim and graduated from Bellville High School in 1962. She married H. C. Becker on October 23, 1964. She devoted her career to the insurance industry as an adjuster for 44 years. She and HC made their home in Katy, Texas where she resided when she returned to the Lord on February 13, 2017. She is survived by her husband, H. C. Becker; her sister, Avis Palm Pouncy; sister-in-law Lillie Mae Becker Gross; nieces and nephews Glenn Klehm, Shelia Wilkes, Tracy and Melvin Pouncy, Jr., Teresa Kelly and Becky and Darrin Pouncy, several great nieces and nephews, as well as a great great niece and nephew.
