Harold "Little Joe" Schwarze
Harold “Little Joe” Schwarze, 67, passed away February 13, 2017 in Brenham. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Friday, February 17, 2017 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church of Sandy Hill, with Pastor Kris Brower officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Wauldeen Schwarze; daughters and sons-in-law Kristie and Billy Swartz, and Amy and Chris Tiemann, all of Brenham; brother and sister-in-law, Ernie and Nancy Schwarze of Brenham; sister, Pat Harris of Cypress; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, George and Nancy Stirek, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, George and Ozell Stirek. Funeral arrangements for Harold “Little Joe” Schwarze are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main, Brenham.

Lydia Draeger Jaster
Lydia Draeger Jaster, 97, of the La Bahia community near Burton, TX, died February 8, 2017, at her residence. The funeral service for Lydia Jaster will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Burton with Pastor Glen Schoeneberg officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10 at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Mrs. Jaster was born May 10, 1919, to Gus and Martha (Maass) Draeger in the Rehburg area on the place now known as Camp For All. She was baptized August 3, 1919, by Pastor H.L. Schulz and was confirmed March 25, 1934, by Pastor Adolph Walton, in St. John’s United Church of Christ. She received her education at the Hohenwalde School. On October 26, 1947, Lydia and Raymond were married in the same church by Pastor E.H. Schwengel. She was a life-long member of St. John’s. Mrs. Jaster spent her life on the farm working with her husband and enjoyed having a vegetable garden. She later was employed at Brenham Rest Home for 11 years and then was a caregiver for people in their homes. In her later years, she enjoyed her flowers, keeping her yard and being with her family. Her hobbies were reading, collecting recipes, watching baseball and basketball on television, baking and cooking. Survivors include her daughter, Betty Sidenstricker of Pearland; son, Ronald Jaster and wife Pat of Washington; grandchildren, Kim Tristan and husband Tommy of Pearland, Brad Jaster of Alabama, Chris Jaster of Georgetown and Heather Jaster of Austin; great-grandchildren, Tylar and Tanner Tristan of Pearland, Jakob Jaster and wife Kaylie, and Cameron and Aden Jaster of Brenham; sister-in-law, Helen Draeger of Brenham; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Jaster on June 8, 2000; her parents; an infant brother; father-in-law and mother-in-law; sister, Emma Draeger; brother, Gus; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Louis and Lorena Stolz and George and Alwine Capps. The family suggests memorials be directed to St. John’s United Church of Christ or a charity of your choice. Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons: Brad Jaster, Chris Jaster, Jakob Jaster, Cameron Jaster, Aden Jaster, Tommy Tristan, Tylar Tristan and Tanner Tristan. Funeral arrangements for Lydia Jaster are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main St., Brenham, TX, 979-836-4564.

Elouise Wilke
Elouise Wilke passed away peacefully on April 12, 2015 at Scott and White Hospital in Brenham, Texas. She was born May 27, 1925 to Henry and Louise Reddehase. On July 19, 1925, she was baptized at Zionsville Lutheran Church and was confirmed in the same church in 1938. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Zion Lutheran Church, with Pastor Pat Lehrer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Survivors include her son Carson and daughter-in-law Marilyn, and son Michael and daughter-in-law Linda; many grandchildren, including Jason Wilke; Kristin (Jared) Krenek; Brent (Sandra) Wilke; Jeremy Wilke; Lauren (Colt) Gillum; Lyssa Wilke; great-grandchildren: MacKenzie and Michaela Wilke, Morgan and Macey Wilke, Colt and Cooper Krenek, Troy, Trista and Triton Gillum. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law Cleo and Aubert Jaeger. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Louise Reddehase; her husband Henry Wilke; her parents-in-law, Richard and Edna Wilke and her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Erwin and Lilly Winkelmann. Kenneth (Kenny) Lee Mikeska
Kenneth (Kenny)Lee Mikeska, 60 of Bleiblerville was carried home by the angels on April 8, 2015. A Celebration of life will be held on Wednesday April 15th, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. from the Nelsonville Brethren Church with Bro. Mike Groseclose officiating. Interment will be in the National Cemetery near Nelsonville. Honorary pallbearers will be Darwin Macat, Luis Garcia, Cody Plagens, Kyle Wittner and Daniel Plagens Kenny is survived by his children Chrissy Heron and Chane Haynie; granddaughter Lydia Heron-Gore of Tennessee, Father Pat Mikeska of Bleiblerville, brothers Glen Mikeska and wife Judy of Fayetteville and Frank Mikeska of Chappell Hill; sisters Rita Mikeska of Chappell Hill, Linda Peschel and husband Bill of Industry and Gwen Zapalac and husband Rodney of Bellville; his aunt May Mikeska of Bleiblerville and Ethel Leonard and Beryl Bailey of England; Uncles Granville Leonard and Brian Bailey of England; His Godchild Chad Mikeska; Elizabeth Mikeska and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jean (Bailey) Mikeska, grandparents Fred and Ethel Bailey and step grandmother Hilda Bailey, Frank and Fannie Mikeska; uncles Lonnie Mikeska and Stewart Bailey and nephew Charles Glenn Mikeska. Ira Bell Bathe
Ira Bell Bathe beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2015 at the age of 84. Her family was with her in the days prior to her passing. Visitation will be held at Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 9. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 10 at Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Carmine with Paster David Tinker officiating with burial to follow at La Bahia Cemetery. Oscar Hinze
Funeral services for Oscar Hinze, of Brenham, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Thursday, April 9, 2015 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church of William Penn, with Pastor Mark Moldenhauer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday evening at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Mr. Hinze passed away April 6, 2015 at Brenham Nursing and Rehab in Brenham, at the age of 89. Survivors include sons Lester Hinze and Keith Hinze, and daughter-in-law Donna Hinze, all of Brenham; grandson Tyler Hinze and wife Lyndsay of Brenham; great-grandchildren Michael and Taylor Hinze, both of Brenham; sisters Adele Schroeder of Brenham, and Doris Becker of Navasota, sister-in-law Walline Hinze of Brenham, and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Oscar and May Simank of Alamogordo, NM. Mr. Hinze was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Hinze; parents Ernst and Henriette Hinze; son, Gary Hinze; brothers Edwin, Ervin, and Ernst Hinze, and sisters Alma Gaskamp and Laura Holtkamp. Dorothy Knebel Andrew
Dorothy Knebel Andrew went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at the age of 84. She was born September 26, 1930 in Waller, TX to Adolph and Hulda Knebel. Visitation will be Friday, April 3 from 5:00 - 8:00pm. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 4, at 11:00am at Canon Funeral Home with Rev. Ed Wunderlich and Rev. Kevin Kissel officiating. Adonie Kieke Mueller, 93, wife of Fritz A. Mueller, died March 27, 2015 at College Station Medical Center. Survivors include her husband of nearly 75 years, Fritz A. Muellerr; daughters Janette Peters; Dorothy Poncik and husband Ben, Linda Wilke and husband Mike, and Nancy Guelker and husband Dale; grandchildren: Kevin Peters, Kimberly (Jeff) Shows, Kayla (Jason) Romine, Dayna (Neal) Lampe, Amy (Frank) Petrzelka, Brent (Sandra) Wilke, Jeremy Wilke, Lauren (Colt) Gillum, Lyssa Wilke, Amber (Ryan) Lampe, Joshua (Leianne) Guelker, Colton Guelker and Jessica Fite, and Kelsey Guelker and Taylor Rybarski; great-grandchildren: Cameron and Caleb Peters, Kacey (Derrick) Smith, Kelly Shows, Ashleigh and Amanda Romine, Laen, Ryder and Remmy Lampe, Rinn Makowsky, Mackenzie and Michaela Wilke, Troy, Trista and Triton Gillum, Dylan Phillips, Holden Knuppel, Trenton Lampe, and Declan Guelker; great-great grandchildren: Kyleigh Peters and Jaxson Smith; sister, Celeste Dippel, sister-in-law Delores Kieke and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law Arnold Peters, Jr.; great-granddaughter, Peyton Guelker; a sister, brother, sister-in-law and three brothers-in-law. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Monday, March 30, 2015 at St. John’s United Church of Christ, with Pastor Glen Schoeneberg officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery in Burton. Johnnie Rochen
Johnnie Rochen, age 91 of Waller, passed away on March 25, 2015. Visitation will be Sunday, March 29, from 5:00 - 7:00pm with a Rosary beginning at 7:00pm. Funeral Mass will be Monday, March 20, 10:30am at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church with Fr. Ed Kucera officiating. Interment will follow at St. Martin De Porres Cemetery.

Odell C. Lueckemeyer
Odell C. Lueckemeyer, 87, of Brenham, TX, died peacefully on the morning of March 20, 2015. The Lueckemeyer family will receive friends and relatives from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday, March 22, at Memorial Oaks Chapel. The funeral service for Odell Lueckemeyer will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 23, at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Brenham with Pastors Phillip Fenton and Karen Nelson officiating. A private graveside service will be held. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Willie Mae Lueckemeyer of Brenham; daughter, Susan Lueckemeyer of Houston; sister, Lillian Henske of Brenham; and sister-in-law, Mrs. T.W. Thelma Jean Wilson
On the 10th day of September, 1954, in the town of Needville, Fort Bend County, Texas a baby girl was born to the proud parents of Walter and Johnnie Mae Nunn. They named her Thelma Jean Nunn. Thelma Jean begin her life journey in Needville, Texas. In 1956 she moved with her family to Bellville, Texas where she continued her life journey. She attended public school in Bellville, Texas. Thelma Jean accepted Christ as her personal savior at an early age. She became a member of the Allen Chapel AME Church in Bellville, Texas. She exercised her gift by singing in the church choir. After moving to Sealy, Thelma Jean became a member of the New Day Deliverance Church in San Felipe, Texas where she served under the leadership of Pastor Anthony Ray Dabney. In 1975, Thelma married Alonzo Browning. To this union were blessed with four children; Darrell Browning, Kevin Browning, Cassandra Browning and Brandy Browning.
Thelma Jean worked many years at the Sweetbriar Nursing Home and Colonial Belle Nursing Home in Bellville and Sealy, Texas. While working at the nursing homes, she obtained a C N A Certification and became a Certified Nursing Assistant. On December 13, 1997, Thelma Jean were United into Holy Matrimony to Lawrence Wilson of Sealy, Texas. To this union Thelma Jean gained two loving and caring step-children; Toni Davis and Lawrence Wilson, Jr. Those who knew Thelma Jean knew that she was an active and energetic person and you couldn’t miss that continuous smile. Among many other things, she loved reading, gardening, fishing which took her to places such as Somerville, Texas City and Matagorda. One of her favorite past times besides baking casseroles or cooking ox tails and pig feet, she loved trail riding with her husband Lawrence (Trigger) Wilson. Thelma Jean who was called “baby girl” by her husband Trigger, and Trigger were the founder of the Sealy Soul Riders where he serves as Trail Boss and you could always catch her listening to or singing gospel songs. One the greatest joy of her life was her grandbabies. Granny as they would call her couldn’t help but to spoil them rotten. Thelma is preceded in death by her father and mother; Walter and Johnnie Mae Nunn, Grandparents; John and Clara Carethers, one brother, Raymond Nunn, 2 niece; Dorothy Ann Palmer, Patricia Earthman, 1 great-great-niece, 2 great-great nephews, Dennis Campbell, Jr. and Sidney Johnson, Jr. She leaves to cherish her loving memories, her husband, Lawrence Wilson, Sr., two sons, Darrell (Yolanda) Browning, Brenham, Texas, Kevin (Donna) Browning, Bellville, Texas, two daughters, Cassandra (Direse) Curry, College Station, Texas, Brandy Browning, Hempstead, Texas, one step-son, Lawrence (Debbie) Wilson, Jr. and one-step-daughter, Toni (George) Davis, Richmond, Texas; three brothers, James (Elizabeth) Nunn, Bellville, Texas, Lonnie (Annie) Nunn, Brookshire, Texas, John Nunn, Bellville, Texas, four sisters, Willie Mae (Lawrence) York, Bellville, Texas, Linda (Charlie) Patterson, Prairie View, Texas, Dorothy (James) Campbell, Sealy, Texas and Clara Nunn, Bellville, Texas, 22 grand-children, Christian, Brayden, KeAmbra, Keaundra, Danielle, Browing, Baylee Wilson, Feonia Miniters, Angelo Earthman, Darrell Browning, Jr., Driqua Wilder, Darius and Dymoria Curry, Gabe and Rachel Hamner, Kevin Browning, Jr., Nyhla Davis, Sadie, Lorenzo, Athony, Kaleb, Kayleen, Alicia Wilson, many aunts uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Mircle Jerome Sanders
Mr. Mircle Jerome Sanders was born October 5, 1973 and passed away Sunday, September 19, 2010.
Services for Mr. Mircle J. Sanders will be held Saturday, September 25, 2010, at 1:00 pm from the Bellville High School Auditorium, 850 Schumann Rd., Bellville, Texas 77418. Reverend Micheal Barber, pastor of the Pleasant Grove Baptist, Bellville, Texas will be bringing words of comfort.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories; his loving mother, Josie Sanders, father, Mircle Bryant, two sons, Mircle J. Sanders, Jr., and James Gauss. A special friend, Denise Kinsey, four sisters, Darlene Wilson (Johnny) of Waller, Texas, Angela Bryant (Howard), Tracy Sanders (Tyrone), Stephanie Sanders (Norris) all of Bellville, Texas, three brothers, Kevin Sanders (Nakeyshya) of Tulsa Okla, Micheal Sanders of Bellville, Texas, Bryon Thomas of Houston, Texas and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
