Harry Wittneben, 78, of Bellville, the husband of Doris Wittneben, passed away November 3, 2005 at his home.

Don Billy Manning
(April 10, 1934 - December 30, 2011)
Funeral services for Don Manning, 77 of Alvin, Texas, are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings, Texas with Rev. Robert Tiner officiating. Burial will follow in the Giddings City Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday, January 4, 2012 from 7:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings.
Don Billy Manning was born on April 10, 1934 to Earlie & Kate (Williams) Manning in Philadelphia, Mississippi. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was retired from the Southwestern Bell Telephone Company where he had been employed as an area manager. Don was a former member of the Rotary Club and had served as a Deacon with the Church of Christ for over 20 years. He enjoyed fishing, yard work and camping.
Don passed away during the early morning hours of Friday, December 30, 2011 at the Clear Lake Regional Medical Center in Webster, Texas following an extended illness.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Katie Pearl Bryan and a brother, Ivon Manning.
Don is survived by his two sons, Ron & Jaime Manning of Giddings and Chris Manning of Bryan; two grandsons, Deacon Manning and Mason Manning both of Giddings; three sisters, Mary Lou Breazeale of Lake Jackson, Joyce Knowles of Southhaven, Mississippi and Sarah Warren of Philadelphia, Mississippi; a brother, Jerry Manning of Brandon, Mississippi; the mother of their sons, Shirley Manning of Giddings as well as several nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Morgan, Matt Taylor, Rory Morgan, Milburn Breazeale, Michael Taylor, Jim Morgan and Gerald Morgan.
Don's family would like express their thanks to Mike & Janie Taylor and their family for their friendship, care and concern for Don during the past several years.
