Alphonse "Bug" Krolczyk, Jr.
December 28, 1963 - March 7, 2019
Alphonse “Bug” Krolczyk Jr., age 55 of Chappell Hill, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas.
Visitation will be from 4:00-6:00 p.m. with Rosary at 6:00 p.m., Sunday, March 10 at Brenham Memorial Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m, Monday, March 11 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Alphonse was born December 28, 1963 in Brenham to parents Alphonse Krolczyk Sr. and Dorothy Stegmann. He was a carpenter by trade.
Survivors include mother Dorothy Stegmann; daughters Kimberly Nelson (Chase), Taylor Krolczyk (Derek Grimm); siblings Vincent Krolczyk Sr. (Debbie), Diane Roese (John Neal), Bobby Krolczyk (Lisa), Daniel Krolczyk (Lisa), Mary Jane Malinowski (Donald), Melvin Krolczyk (Tammy), Bonnie Bush (Kevin); grandchildren Aubrey Grimm, Emily and Lily Nelson; nieces and nephews Vincent Jr., Matt, Haley, Amanda and Kolten Krolczyk, Mark Roese, Karah Malinowski, Carson, Hannah and Braydon Bush, Kalyn Knode.
He was preceded in death by his father Alphonse Krolczyk Sr.
Alphonse ”Bug” was a simple and quiet man but loved his family and friends. He had a love for sports, especially the Houston Texans and the Houston Astros.
Pallbearers will be Mark Roese, Vincent Krolczyk Jr., Matt Krolczyk, Hunter Krolczyk, Henry Mikolajczak and Johnnie Ray Krolczyk. Honorary pallbearers will be Carson Bush, Braydon Bush, Kolten Krolczyk, John Zimmermann and Charlie Kubeczka.

Margaret (Auggie) Babbitt
July 21, 1959 - April 10, 2012
Margaret “Auggie” Babbitt, 52 of Brenham, passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at Scott & White-Brenham.
Auggie was born July 21, 1959 in Dallas, Texas to Lamar Michael and Mary Susan (Watts) Darr. She was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith. She graduated from Hallettsville High School. While attending Blinn College, she was a twirler and drum majorette. On November 12, 1983, Auggie married Jake Babbitt in Hallettsville. She received her Physical Therapy Degree from Texas Woman’s University in Denton. Her “healing hands” touched many lives through her work at Blinn College as director of the Physical Therapy Assistant Program, at Trinity Medical Center, and Texas Home Health. Auggie was an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church serving as lector and Eucharistic minister. She enjoyed working with youth, teaching confirmation, and traveling as chaperone to World Youth Day. Auggie was a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and Daughters of the American Revolution.
Auggie’s parents and brother Larry Darr preceded her in death.
Loving family includes, husband Jake Babbitt, sons Kyle Babbitt and Bryan Babbitt, siblings and their spouses Virginia “Gengie” and Bob Wiedenfeld, Anne and Charlie Rathke, Mike and Gerie Darr, H.F. and Luther Poehlmann, John and Sandy Darr, Joe and Amanda Darr, mother-in-law Louise Babbitt, numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Monday, April 16th from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., when Rosary will be lead by Deacon Steve Medina in Brenham Memorial Chapel.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, April 17th at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Rev. David Ivey as celebrant. Interment will follow in Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be her nephews and niece, Phillip Wiedenfeld, Jason Rathke, David Darr, Brett Darr, Mark Poehlmann, Joseph Darr, Mary Helen Wiedenfeld and John Poehlmann. Honorary pallbearers will be all other nephews and nieces.

Elizabeth E. Rasco Weatherby
Born in Marshall, TX on Feb. 12, 1922
Departed on Nov. 18, 2003 and resided in Brenham, TX.

Elizabeth E. Rasco Weatherby lost her battle with cancer on November 18, 2003.
She was born on February 12, 1922, in Marshall, Texas, to Willie W. and Ida Mae Rasco. She graduated from public schools in Rosebud, TX, where she met her husband of 57 years, Ernest Lamar Weatherby.
Her parents and her husband preceded her in death.
The Weatherbys were transferred to Brenham in 1947, by Southwestern Bell Telephone Company and decided to make Brenham their permanent home. Elizabeth was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Ladies Auxiliaries of the James F. Dillon VFW Post 7104, Buddy Wright American Legion Post # 48, the Disabled American Veterans and the Sons of Hermann. In her spare time, she enjoyed her family, visiting with friends, cooking, gardening, traveling and sewing.
Two sons survive her: Ernest L. Weatherby and wife Judy and Roger N. Weatherby and wife Vicky. Grandchildren include: Lance Weatherby and wife Malet, Kristen Kestler and husband Bryan, Melanie Baker and husband John David, Meghan Weatherby and Andrew Weatherby. Great-grandchildren include: Elizabeth Weatherby, Conner Kestler and Ethan Weatherby.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 20, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 21, at 10:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Brenham. Graveside services will follow at the Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham.
Pallbearers will be Andrew Weatherby, Lance Weatherby, Bryan Kestler, John Baker, Charles Hahn, Charles Schulte, Dan DeShazo and Gary Terlouw.

Albert F. Flisowski, 76, of Chappell Hill passed away Monday, May 1, 2006 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Bryan, TX.
Albert was born August 2, 1929 in Chappell Hill, TX to Wallace and Mary (Mikoljewski) Flisowski. He was baptized at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church of Chappell Hill, TX on August 3, 1929 and confirmed October 24, 1940 in the same church where he remained a member.
Albert worked as a longshoreman at the shipyards in Galveston, TX.
His parents, 3 sisters and 5 brothers preceded him in death.
Survivors include sister Hattie Hoffart of Houston, TX; brother Frank Flisowski of Santa Fe, TX along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 4, 2006 in Brenham Memorial Chapel by Father Leonard Onwumere.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 5 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church of Chappell Hill, TX with Father Leonard Onwumere as celebrant. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Ann Marie Thompson, 89 of Brenham, passed away March 7, 2005 at Trinity Medical Center.
Ann was born April 13, 1915 in Galveston to Axel Iver and Marie (Gloyna) Anderson. She was baptized July 4, 1915 at The Swedish Evangelical Lutheran Church of Galveston by Oscar Cassling and confirmed May 27, 1928 in Zion Lutheran Church of Galveston by Rev. Eric Heurlin. On December 4, 1937 she was to married Sidney G. Thompson in Zion Lutheran Church of Galveston by Rev. J. Herman Larson.
Ann’s survivors include her husband, Sidney G. Thompson, Sr. of Brenham; daughter-in-law, Martha Thompson of San Angelo; grandchildren, Jeffrey Thompson and Stephen Thompson; brother, Bernard Anderson of Texas City; sisters, Astrid Thompson of Galveston and Edith Nash of Lubbock; sister-in-law, Doris Anderson of Texas City.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Sylvia Ann Stom; son, Rev. Sidney G. Thompson, Jr.; brother, Axel Anderson.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 9, 2005 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in Brenham Memorial Chapel.
Funeral services will be Thursday, March 10, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. in Brenham Memorial Chapel with Rev. Walter Schindehette officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Lea Cemetery.

Keith Krueger
September 12, 1978 - July 14, 2012
Keith LeRoy Krueger, 33 of College Station, passed away Saturday, July 14, 2012.
He was born September 12, 1978 in Brenham to Wm. R. and Sue (Loesch) Krueger. Keith was baptized on January 28, 1979 by Pastor Jon Siemsglusz and confirmed on April 4, 1993 by Pastor David Jentsch, both at Grace Lutheran Church. Keith was a 1997 graduate of Brenham High School. He graduated from Texas A&M; University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering. In 2005, he received his J.D. from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law, graduating cum laude. He was an attorney with the law firm of West, Webb, Allbritton and Gentry in College Station.
Keith held affiliations with the American Bar Association; State Bar of Texas; Texas Young Lawyers Association, serving on the Board of Directors from 2008-2011 and as Secretary in 2012. He received the President’s Award of Merit in 2010. Keith was also a member of the Texas Bar Foundation, Fellow since 2009; Texas Aggie Bar Association, Director since 2011; Brazos County Bar Association; Brazos Valley Young Lawyers Association, serving as President from 2010-2011; and was a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. His civic affiliations include the Brazos County A&M; Club, serving as President in 2010; Family Promise of Bryan/College Station, serving as a Director since 2011; Bethel Lutheran Church, serving as Chairman of the Board of Community Service; Leadership Brazos, Class of 2011; Habitat for Humanity, Table Captain, Community Builders Breakfast, 2009-2010, 2012; Brazos Valley Business Associates, serving as President in 2008.
Keith was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, LeRoy J. and Josephine (Waak) Krueger and by his maternal grandfather, Victor Loesch.
His loving family includes his parents, Wm. R. and Sue Krueger, sister and brother-in-law, Karla and Jason Strawn, and maternal grandmother, Dolores (Muery) Loesch.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 18 from 5-8 p.m. at Brenham Memorial Chapel.
Funeral Service will be Thursday, July 19 at 11 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, 1212 Jefferson Street, with Pastors Matthew Jacobs and William Holzer officiating. Interment will follow at 2 p.m. at Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery in Bellville. Pallbearers will be Jason Goodman, Kyle Holle, Mike Jacob, Matthew Kenjura, Clay Patranella, C.E. Rhodes, Jr., Steven Siemsglusz and Gaines West.

Nancy Flisowski Stegant

Nancy Flisowski Stegant, 98 of Brenham, passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2005 at Trinity Care Center.
Nancy was born in Washington County December 23, 1906 to John and Josephine (Gurka) Flisowski. She was life-long member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church being baptized December 26, 1906 and confirmed May, 1919. On October 23, 1928 she was married to Leon Stegant by Msgr. Charles Weisnerowski, also at St. Mary’s. Nancy was a homemaker and an avid flower and vegetable gardener.
Survivors include daughters, Betty Stegant of Brenham and Pat Jaster and husband and Ron of Washington; grandchildren, Brad Jaster and wife Vicki of Brenham, Chris Jaster of Austin, Heather Jaster of San Marcos, Elaine Stegant and friend Cindy Vasquez of Austin, Allen Schulz and wife Karen of Brenham; great-grandchildren, Scott and Lea Ann Schulz and Jakob, Cameron, and Aden Jaster; great-great-granddaughter, Jadyn Ausby; sister, Martha Harrison of Houston; brother, Stanley Flisowski and wife Helen of Brenham; and special guardian angel, Theresa Crawford.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leon Stegant on March 13, 1994; son, Ted Stegant; daughter, Virginia Schulz; grandsons, Russell Schulz and Terry Schulz; sisters, Annie Hensen and Janie Mason; brothers, Alex, Eddie, and Wallace Flisowski.
Rosary will be recited by Father David Ivey Thursday, March 10 at 6:30 p.m. in Brenham Memorial Chapel.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, March 11 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father David Ivey as celebrant. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Brad Jaster, Chris Jaster, Albine Flisowski, Justin Flasowski, Donald Becker, and Jerry Schaefer. Staff of Trinity Care Center will be considered honorary pallbearers.
