Gloria Mae Byron, 55 of Brenham, passed away October 14, 2007 in Trinity Medical Center.
Gloria was born December 29, 1951 in San Antonio to William Joseph and Gloria Mae (Huddleston) Byron. In her youth, she lived in Galena Park and was a graduate of North Shore High School. Gloria was a very loving person despite her special needs. She was involved in Special Olympics. She lived in Thomas and Lewin Group Home and worked doing assembly tasks.
Survivors include her loving family, brother Danny Byron and his wife Margaret of Austin, sister Helen Smith and her husband Pat of Baytown, nieces and nephews Joey Byron, Kevin Byron, Daniel Byron, Julie Byron, Shannon Smith, Pat Smith and Byron Smith.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents.
A celebration of her life service will be held Friday, October 19, 2007 at 10 a.m. in First United Methodist Church with Rev. Dale Chance officiating.
Memorials may be given to the Labyrinth Fund at Oak Hill United Methodist Church, 7815 Highway 290 West, Austin, TX 78736.

Mary "Allyne" Hall
(July 16, 1922 - May 31, 2011)
Funeral services for Mary "Allyne" Hall, 88 of Lexington, Texas, are scheduled for 3:00 p.m. on Friday, June 3, 2011 at the Adina Christian Church in Adina, Texas with Geary McManus officiating. Burial will follow in the Adina Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Lexington.
Allyne died on Tuesday, May 31, 2011, at the home of her daughter, Dorothy Humphrey, in Austin, Texas. She was born on July 16, 1922 in Navarro County, Texas.
Allyne spent almost fifty years of her life on the family farm between the Knobbs and Blue communities in Lee County, Texas, where she and Jasper, her husband of 46 years, reared their five children. She was a good cook and famous for her Red Devil's Food Cake. Her days were spent cooking, gardening, canning the vegetables and fruit that she grew, sewing, washing and ironing her family's clothes, quilting and growing flowers in her yard. She was a hard worker and instilled that work ethic in each of her children. Her children are thankful that she reared them as Christians and taught them Christian values, integrity, personal responsibility and how to keep things going even in tough times. She loved spending time with her family and visiting with friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jasper Hardin Hall, her parents, Hilliard Wesley & Bertha Dora Byrum Farmer; four brothers, Gus Newton Farmer, Milton Wesley "Bunch" Farmer, Aubrey Ray Farmer and Louis Myles Farmer Sr.; two sisters, Velma Lee Smith and Laura Alice Brooks and Allyne is survived by one sister, Jesse Opal Beard of Lexington; one sister-in-law, Vera Berry of San Antonio; five children and their spouses, Dorothy & Von Humphrey of Austin, Wilbur "Bubba" & Ann Rogers of Mauriceville, Linda & David Bennett of Allen, Kenneth & Patsy Hall of Lexington and Joan & Wayne Honeycutt of Plano; thirteen grandchildren, Donna & Rodney Matthews, Barbara & Tom Baca, William & Joan Rogers, Robert Rogers, Kevin Rogers, Rita & Paul Callier, Wilbur "Little Bubba" Rogers Jr., Rhonda Bennett, Anthony "Tony" & Jayme Bennett, Greg & Heidi Bennett, Jason Hall, Tina & Russell Biehle and Eric Honeycutt; nineteen great-grandchildren, Kolton Matthews, Kelsie Matthews, Michael Baca, Matthew Baca, Heather Rogers, Lauren Rogers, Katelyn Rogers, Billy Rogers, Kayla Suggett, Kody Addison, Coy Rogers, Katelynn Bennett, Jayde Bennett, Renee Hall, Brianna Hall, Hayden Hall, Allyson Biehle, Mason Biehle and Chloe Honeycutt; three great, great-grandchildren, Isabella Rogers, Roman Rogers and Grace Ellis as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Carolyn (Kay) Gibert Wolverton

Carolyn “Kay” Gibert Wolverton, 60, of Burton, died Jan. 27, 2004, in her home after a long battle with multiple sclerosis.
Mrs. Wolverton was born April 24, 1943, in Mount Enterprise, TX, to Albert and Louise Phillips Gibert.
On Dec. 29, 1961, she married Billy T. Wolverton.
She was preceded in death by her father, Albert Gibert; stepfather, Harlon Riggs; mother-in-law; father-in-law; grandparents; and one stepbrother.
Survivors include her mother, Louise Riggs of Burton; husband, Bill Wolverton of Burton; sons and daughters-in-law, Glen and Julia Wolverton of Houston and Tom and Jennifer Wolverton of Harker Heights; daughter, Melissa Wolverton of Burton; sister, Sheila Webb of Brenham; seven grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 29 in St. Paul Lutheran Church in Rehburg with Pastor Larry Henrichs officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be given to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Rehburg.

Erna Mae Merkel Pfeffer, 69, of Brenham, died Sept. 8, 2005, at her residence.
Mrs. Pfeffer was born June 16, 1936, in Gay Hill, Texas, to Karl Albert and Helen Klatt-Arndt Merkel. She was baptized August 16, 1936, in Friedens Evangelical Church of Gay Hill and was confirmed Oct. 3, 1948, in the same church. Mrs. Pfeffer was a 1955 graduate of Brenham High School.
On March 4, 1956, she was married to Elfred Alton Pfeffer in St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Brenham. Mrs. Pfeffer was a realtor for Re-Max /Texas Heritage in Bryan. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Brenham, National Association of Realtors and Business and Professional Women of Bryan.
Survivors include her husband, Elfred Pfeffer of Brenham; son and daughter-in-law, Russell Wayne “Rusty” and Lori Pfeffer of Bryan; daughter, Sharon Cowart of Brenham and special friend, Joey Sinclair of Houston; four grandchildren, Micheal Cowart and special friend Amber Klump, Holly Cowart, Jessica Pfeffer and Jordyn Pfeffer; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Diane Merkel of Brenham; and sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Edward Studhalter of Brenham.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Barbara Helen.
The family will receive visitors at Memorial Oaks Chapel from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 11.
The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, Sept. 12 in Christ Lutheran Church of Brenham with Pastor Arnon Lundborg officiating.
The graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, Sept. 12 in Rest-Ever Memorial Park, 5103 N. Texas Ave., in Bryan.
Honorary pallbearers will be Rebecca Sinclair, Bailey Sinclair, Bethany Sinclair, Bea Schaefer, Gwen Evans, Dr. John Hall, Pastor Blair Lundborg and Allen Segal.

Clyde Weldon Thomas
The funeral for Clyde Weldon Thomas, 90, of Brenham, will be held at St. Paul”s Evangelical Lutheran Church of Brenham, Wednesday, 10:00am, November 23, 2016. Interment will follow at Prairie Lea Cemetery, with Pastor Phil Fenton officiating. Visitation with the family will be held Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., November 22, 2016 at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Clyde died November 20, 2016. He was born April 30, 1926, in Burleson County, the son of Sam D. and Minnie Schoenemann Thomas. He was baptized April 27, 1938 at First Baptist Church of Somerville, Texas, by Rev. Roy Durnel. Clyde is survived by his wife, Ruth; son and daughter-in-law David and Debbie Thomas, granddaughter, Linda Dale Tosta and husband Ryan; great-grandchildren, Haylie Lynn, Braden Scot and Logun Richard Tosta; brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Joyce Thomas of Brenham. Kenneth (Ken) Thomas Goedeke
Kenneth (Ken) Thomas Goedeke was prayed into Heaven with his family by his side on November 18, 2016 at Hospice Brazos Valley Inpatient Facility in Bryan, TX, after a courageous battle with cancer. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 21 from 5 pm to 8 pm at Memorial Oaks Chapel, Brenham, TX. A memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church of Brenham on Tuesday, November 22 at 11 am, with pastors Jon Stouffer and Kay Reed officiating. Interment will be at a future date. Henry is survived by his wife, Blondean Kuecker; daughters Jo Lynn Kuecker Briggs of Brenham; Tracy McNicoll and husband Tony of Caldwell; grandchildren: Heather and Ricky Brewer of Caldwell, Daniel and Candice McNicoll of Caldwell, Jacob McNicoll and fiancé Shelby Savant of College Station; great-grandchildren: Elijah, McKenzie, Matthew, Aubree Grace, and baby boy Brewer, due in March; brothers and sisters-in-law Wilfred and Barbara Kuecker, Howard and Mildred Kuecker, Gerald and Teresa Kuecker, Charles Kuecker; sister, Doris Sebesta; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Vivian and Buddy Janes.
