Gregory Alan “Turkey” Krueger, 59, husand of Catherine Hertenberger Krueger, died January 14, 2013 in Brenham. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, January17, 2013 at Memorial Oaks Chapel, with Father Ed Kucera officiating. The service will continue with a Celebration Of Life at 5 p.m. at Little Mike’s on South Market St. in Brenham. Inurnment will take place at Calvary Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
Survivors include his wife, Catherine Krueger; mother, Ruth Krueger, both of Brenham; daughter Catie Ruth Krueger of Brenham, and step-daughter Alyssa McKay and husband Chad of Bryan; brothers Randy Krueger and wife Viki of Plantersville, Kenny Krueger of Brenham, Jerry and Connie Krueger, Mike and Sandy Krueger, Tim Krueger and Bobbie Moore, all of Brenham, and Charlie and Robin Krueger of Haslet; sister, Tammy Runge of Brenham, and special friend, Dora Walkoviak. He was preceded in death by his father, Oscar Krueger.

Jo Ann Winkelmann, age 64 of Brenham, passed away Monday, January 14, 2013 at her home surrounded by family.
Her surviving family includes: loving husband of 47 years Darrell W. Winkelmann; children and spouses Sara and Beth Winkelmann of Richmond, Laura and Ryon Jones of Uvalde, and John Winklemann and special friend Geneva Aguilar of Brenham; grandson (her “Little Buddy”) Ely Jones; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Fred L. and Bonnie Winklemann; nephews, Jeff Winkelmann, Ryan Winkelmann and wife Stephanie; great- nephew and niece, Dalton and Mallory Winkelmann. She is also survived by special friend Birdie Sommerfeld.
Visitation with the Winkelmann family will be Wednesday, January 16th from 6-8 p.m. in Brenham Memorial Chapel.
Funeral services for Jo Ann Winkelmann will be Thursday, January 17th at 10 a.m. in Christ Lutheran Church with pastors Mark Groves and Walt Schindehette officiating. Interment will follow in Salem Lutheran Church Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Christ Lutheran Church.

Carolyn Elizabeth (Rothermel) Fuchs, 83, of Carmine, wife of Otto L. Fuchs, Jr. died January 12, 2013 in Scott and White Hospital in Brenham. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Thursday, January 17, 2013 at Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Carmine, with Pastor David Tinker officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery in Burton. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Wednesday at Foehner Funeral Home in Burton.
Survivors include her husband, Otto L. Fuchs, Jr. of Carmine; daughters and sons-in-law, Carobeth and Bruce Bockhorn and Rebecca and Mark Kuecker, all of Carmine; grandchildren: Lucas and Chris Ann Stroech, Carolise and Benjamin Kelly, Dawn and Gary Bolcerek, and Clint Kuecker; great-grandchildren: Graceyn, Braelyn, and Kaleb Stroech, and Jessalynn and Jaseton Bolcerek; sisters-in-law, Dellora Manske, Shirley Mueller, and Joyce Fuchs; and numerous nieces and a nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Otto Sr. and Elsie Fuchs; her sisters, Mattie Marie Rothermel, Nina Ellermann and her husband Henry Al, and brothers-in-law, Edison Manske, J. D. Mueller, and Howard Fuchs.

Marie Lange Meyer, age 85 of Brenham, passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2013 in Gazebo Terrace Convalescent Center.
Surviving loving family includes: sons and daughter-in-laws, Tommy and Sheree Lange, Kenneth and Patricia Lange; son-in-law, Randy Gaskamp; grandchildren, Amber and Blake Dooley, Chelsey Lange, Robin and Jeff Wagner, Sara and Chuck Nagel, Teresa Lange, Rheagan and Chase Mulder, Gavin and Kristin Gaskamp; great-grandchildren, Aiden Lange, Summer Dooley and an expected great-granddaughter; sister Franciszka Pawluczuk; sister-in-law, Hildagard Lange; and numerous nieces and nephews in Chicago and Poland.

Lu Ellen Froebel Luedke, 95, lifelong Bellville resident, passed away Friday, January 4, 2013, in Brenham.
Survivors include her sons; Don Luedke and his wife, Judy and J.W. Luedke and his wife, Paula; Grandchildren: Michael Luedke and his wife, Christi, Brandon Luedke and his wife, Rebecca, Chad Luedke, Kendra Dugas Mikeska and her husband, Chad; Great Grandchildren: Darcy, Chloe, Chandler and Emma; Sister: Waldine Lipsey; and Brothers: Lee Vernon Froebel and Willie Froebel and his wife, Fay.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm, Monday, January 7, 2013, at St. John Lutheran Church in Bellville with Pastor Jennie Jones and Pastor David Henske officiating. Elvera Tiaden Winkelmann, 85 of Brenham and the widow of Leroy W. Winkelmann, passed away Sunday, January 6, 2013 at Scott & White Hospital- Brenham.

Floyd Harvey Kobs, 83, passed away peacefully at his home Sunday, January 6, 2013.
Born on November 29,1929 in Addicks, Texas to Harvey E. Kobs and Clara (Moehle) Kobs. Serving in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, he was stationed in Okinawa, Japan. After serving his country, he returned to Brenham and met the love of his life, Ruby (Sander) Kobs. They were married on June 24, 1956 at New Wehdem Lutheran Church and were blessed with three children, five grandsons and two great-grandsons.
Floyd was a third generation dairy farmer, spending 44 years in the dairy business. Beginning in Addicks, TX., moving to Brenham, TX., in 1947 and then retiring in 1991.
Survivors include his wife of 56 ½ years, Ruby (Sander) Kobs; two daughters; Donna (Kobs-Wells) Hammons and husband Eugene C. Hammons of Brenham, Connie (Kobs) Lehmann and husband Mark Lehman of Bothell, WA; one son; Nelson Floyd Kobs and wife Sandra (Gardiner) Kobs of Brenham. Five grandsons; Jonathan F. Wells, M.D. of Seattle, WA; Staff Sgt. Joseph Floyd Wells, USMC, and wife Amber (Edmond) Wells of Brenham; Phillip Lehman of Seattle, WA; Brent Kobs and Trevor Kobs of Brenham. Two great-grandsons; Noah Wells and Jonah Wells; and one sister, Lenora (Kobs) Ziechang.
Proceeded in death by his parents, Harvey and Clara Kobs; brother-in-law Edwin (Zeke) Ziechang; and his Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
Visitation will be 5-7 PM Tuesday, January 8, 2013 in Brenham Memorial Chapel.
Funeral service will be 11 AM, Wednesday, January 9, 2013 in Brenham Memorial Chapel with Charles Matejowsky officiating. Burial will be private.
Ora Nell Neumann Kaase, age 91 of Brenham and the widow of Edgar Kaase, passed away Friday, January 4, 2013 at Scott & White Hospital-Brenham.
Mrs. Kaase is survived by: one brother Wilfred Neumann; two daughters Idell Jean Kaase Mertz and husband Daniel Mertz and Peggy Joyce Kaase Schmidt and husband Delbert Schmidt; grandchildren DeAndra Brandt and husband Luke Brandt, Kim Ables and husband Chris Ables, and Keith Schmidt and wife Renee Schmidt; great-grandchildren Randa Braune, Chelsea Braune, Trevor Braune, Taylor Knode, Tanner Knode, and Kennedy Ables.
Visitation with the Kaase family will be from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m., Sunday, January 6th in Brenham Memorial Chapel. Funeral services for Ora Nell Kaase will be at 10 a.m., Monday, January 7th in Welcome Lutheran Church with Rev. Michael Groseclose, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Jimmy Lee Klehm, 56, of La Grange, passed away January 2, 2013 in St. David’s Hospital in Austin, surrounded by his two loving children. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Memorial Oaks Chapel, with Rev. Nate Hill officiating. Burial will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday evening at Memorial Oaks Chapel.
Survivors include a son, Justin Klehm of Round Top; daughter and son-in-law, Tish Dianne and Chad Lehmann of La Grange; grandchildren Corey and Jace Lehmann; brother and sister-in-law Larry Wayne and Karen Klehm of Brenham, and a brother-in-law, Glenn Lampe of Brenham, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and many dear friends and relatives. Preceding him in death were his parents and sister, Linda Lampe.

Survivors are her daughters: Geraldine “Gerry” Thielemann and husband Marvin, and Patricia “Pat” Rogers and husband James, all of Houston; sister, Mildred Meyer of Sealy; grandchildren: Gregory Thielemann, David Fenton, Kimberly Thielemann Hansen, Tristan Rogers McEnroe and husband Webb and Alexander Rogers DeLuca and husband Jody; great-grandchildren: Collin Hansen, Haley Hansen, Abbey Hansen, Tucker McEnroe, Cooper McEnroe, Arabella DeLuca and Tobias DeLuca, and step-daughter, Jackie Hueske of Alvin.
