Joyce Draehn, 73, widow of Roger Draehn, passed away Aug. 5, 2014 at Scott and White Hospital in Brenham. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Friday, August 8, 2014 at Salem Lutheran Church with Pastors Charles Parnell and Toby Burk officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive visitors Thursday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law Royce and Hilee Shea Draehn of Brenham, and Troy and Tracy Draehn, of Burton; daughter and son-in-law Karen and Bobby Mikulin, Sr. of Caldwell; grandchildren: Brittney, Kaylynn, and McKenna Draehn, Madison Draehn and Ryan Ruiz, Amy Frey and Ryan Pond, Billy and Amanda Frey, Ricky and Staci Frey, Bobby Jr. and Danielle Mikulin, and Laura and Ethan Hollingsworth; great-grandchildren: Dusty and Sarah Frey, Thomas and Alexander Frey, Dakota Cherico, and Elijah Hollingsworth; brother and sister-in-law Erwin Jr. and Kay Sander of Brenham; sisters and brothers-in-law Ruth and Lenard Lehmann, Dorothy and Nelson Wellmann, and Mildred and Otis Haynes. Other surviving relatives are brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Willie and Margie Draehn, Deloris Draehn, Leo and Hanna Draehn, Luther and Evelyn Draehn, Gene and Joann Draehn, Dianne and Ted Sager, Geraldine Rybarski, Allan Draehn, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Johanna Emshoff, 96, widow of Herbert H. Emshoff, died February 19, 2014 at Brenham Nursing and Rehab Center. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:30 p.m., Sunday, February 23, 2014 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church of William Penn, with Pastors Mark Moldenhauer and Jeffrey King officiating. Survivors include a son, Daniel Lee Emshoff; daughter Lathel Norris; grandchildren: Kristy Lynn Fessenden and husband Scott of Leesburg, Florida; great-grandchildren: Fox Allen Fessenden and Phoenix Ray Fessenden, both of Leesburg, Florida; sister-in-law Irene Emshoff of Richmond, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews. John Will Fuchs
John Will Fuchs, age 90 of Burton and the husband of Evelyn Boehnemann Fuchs, passed away Sunday, February 16th. John Will is survived by: his wife of 66 years, Evelyn Fuchs; sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Joy Fuchs of Burton, Gerald and Laurie Fuchs of Bellville; grandchildren, Michael and April Fuchs, Landry and Jennifer Fuchs, Kyle Fuchs, Raeden Fuchs; great-grandchildren, Peyton, Addison and Carley Fuchs and Olivia Fuchs; sister and brother-in-law, Jeanette and Glenwood Schwartz; sister-in-law, Florence Boehnemann; brother-in-law, Delton Koerth; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Eddie V. Lacina
Eddie V. Lacina, age 100 years of Brenham and the husband of Louise “Squeakie” Lacina, passed Wednesday, February 12, 2014. Visitation will be held from 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m., tonight, Friday, February 14 in Brenham Memorial Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 15 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Monsignor Boleslaus Zientek, as celebrant. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Eddie was in the automobile business most of his life. He operated a garage and Pontiac Dealership as a partner with his two brothers. After the war he and his brothers went back in the automobile business, selling Hudsons then Oldsmobiles. They also operated a Super Market and then built the Lacina Shopping Center. Eddie was an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, and had memberships in Buddy Wright Post #48 of the American Legion, Grand Lodge of the Sons of Hermann Lodge #6 and James F. Dillon Post #7104 of the V.F.W. Survivors include his wife Squeakie, daughter Cynthia (husband Gary) Frenzel, sons Jerry (wife Cindy) and Stoney (wife Annie) Lacina; grandson Derek Frenzel; step-grandchildren Lee Neal, Guy Grebe, Anthony Scott Griffin, Hunter Eugene Griffin. Olga (Jensen) Holle
Olga (Jensen) Holle, age 97 of Washington and the widow of William Charles Holle, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2014 in Brenham. Mr. and Mrs. Holle operated Holle Hereford Farm and were members of the Gulf Coast Hereford Association. Olga Holle’s survivors include her daughter, Becky Barton and husband John of Washington; sons Ralph Holle and wife Donna of Jersey Village; Thomas Holle and wife Lois of Washington; and Ronald Holle and wife Dorothy of Brenham. Her grandchildren include Todd Kolkhorst (and Brittany) of Austin, Christy Kolkhorst Holloway (and Deric) of Spring, Geoff Holle (and Jessica) of Round Rock, David Holle of Jersey Village, Jonathan Holle (and Sarah Moon) of Austin, Kelley Holle Ragusa (and Jean) of College Station, Susan Holle of Washington, Stacy Holle Aschenbeck (and Ryan) of Brenham, and Kyle Holle of Jersey Village.
