Velma Gregor Fathauer, 85, of Brenham, widow of Ray E. Fathauer, passed away on October 3, 2015 at Brenham Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. from Christ Lutheran Church with Pastor Mark Groves officiating. Burial will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery. Visitation with the family and friends is scheduled from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Debbie Fathauer of Brenham; daughter and son-in-law, Marcie and Roger Phipps of Brenham; grandchildren, Brian and Amanda Fathauer, Dillon and Amanda Phipps, Sarah and Abel Crosby, Anna Fathauer, and Logan Phipps; great-grandchildren, Emma Fathauer; Melody Phipps; and Simeon, Asher, and Judah Crosby; and special family friend, Ly Van Nguyen. Ruby Paula Lentz
Ruby Paula Lentz, 90, of Brenham, the widow of Edgar E. Lentz, died October 2, 2015 at St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan. Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00pm Monday, Oct. 5 at Memorial Oaks Chapel. The funeral service for Ruby Lentz will be at 10:00am, Tuesday, Oct. 6 at Grace Lutheran Church of Brenham with Pastor Matthew Jacobs officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham. Survivors include her son, Edgar Lee Lentz of Brenham; and sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Mary Lueck, Doris Lentz, Louise and Bert Sibley and Shirley Hackemack. Raymond Thaler
Raymond Raymond Thaler, 87, of Brenham, the widower of Annie Laurie Thaler, died Friday, October 2, 2014. at Brenham Nursng and Rehab Center. Visitation with the family will be Sunday, Oct. 4, 5:00 - 7:00pm at Memorial Oaks Chapel. The funeral service will be at 10:00am, Monday, Oct. 5 at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Rehburg with Pastor Denise Seymore officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Raymond Thaler is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Ray and Linda Thaler of Brenham; daughter, Annette Lurner and special friend Steve Barker of Brenham; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Marjorie Ann Thaler, Nathalie Rothermel Landua, James D. and Dorothy Ann Rothermel, and numerous nieces and nephews. Hildegard Gertrude Schramm
(May 4, 1927 - January 27, 2012)
Funeral services for Hildegard Schramm, 84 of La Grange, Texas, are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 30, 2012 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Warda, Texas with Rev. Dennis Tegtmeier officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 29, 2012 from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Monday, January 30, 2012 from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 a.m. at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings. The Schramm family will be present for visitation Sunday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Mrs. Schramm passed away on Friday, January 27, 2012 at the Monument Hill Nursing Center in La Grange.
Hildegard Gertrude Wacker Schramm was born on May 4, 1927 in La Grange, Texas to Edward & Martha (Tschatschula) Wacker. She was baptized on May 22, 1927 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Warda by Rev. Gottfried Buchschacher and confirmed on March 17, 1940 also at Holy Cross Lutheran Church by Rev. Paul Eifert. Her confirmation verse was Psalm 23:1-4, "The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me." Hildegard was united in marriage to Gustav A. Schramm Sr. on October 20, 1946 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Their marriage was blessed with four sons and one daughter. She was a loving and devoted homemaker who was also a lifelong member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Warda. She enjoyed baking, sewing, quilting, gardening and raising ducks, geese and chickens.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward & Martha Wacker; husband, Gus Schramm Sr.; daughter, Linda Kappler; sister-in-law, Rose Schramm; brothers-in-law, Walter Schramm Sr. & wife, Joyce, Clarence Pietsch Sr., Bill Jasek, Edward Fischer and Milton Steglich.
Hildegard is survived by her four sons and their wives, Gus Jr. & Janet Schramm, Paul & Jeanette Schramm, David & Allene Schramm and J.C. & Carol Schramm all of Warda; son-in-law, William & Tina Kappler of Serbin; 14 grandchildren, Russell & Kari Kappler, Lisa & Wayne Brugger, Rebecca & Wesley Burgdorf, Jennifer & Chad Selby, Tiffany & Ryan Noack, Emilie & Justin Kmiec, Scott & Sherry Schramm, Layne & Mary Schramm, Andy & Hanna Schramm, Adrianne Schramm, Lance Schramm, Elizabeth Schramm & Damon Faldyn, Amber Schramm and Adam Schramm; 11 great-grandchildren, Blake, Tori and Maddie Hopson, Ty & Abigail Noack, Kailey & Brandon Burgdorf, Hannah & Caitlyn Selby, Makenna Kmiec, and Braydon Schramm; 3 step great-grandchildren, Derik, Matthew & Miranda Brugger; sister, Lorine Fischer of La Grange; brother, Norbert Wacker of Warda; sisters-in-law, Adeline Pietsch of Warda, Annie & Bill Fick of Houston and Mary Ann & Collin Pietsch of Warda; brothers-in-law, Johnnie Schramm and James & Cedell Schramm all of Warda as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be Russell Kappler, Scott Schramm, Layne Schramm, Andy Schramm, Lance Schramm and Adam Schramm. Honorary pallbearers will be Justin Kmiec, Ryan Noack, Wayne Brugger, Chad Selby, Wesley Burgdorf and Damon Faldyn.
Memorials may be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 600 FM 1482 Road, Warda, Texas 78960 or the charity of one's choice.

Lorraine Teufel
Lorraine Teufel, 85, the widow of Kermit Teufel, passed away September 29, 2015 at St. Joseph Regional Health Care Center in Bryan. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 3, 2015, at the First United Methodist Church in Brenham. Rev. Jon Stouffer and Rev. Kay Reed will officiate. Interment will follow in Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery in Industry. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. till 8 p.m., Friday evening at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Lorraine Teufel is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Amy Teufel of Houston, and sister-in-law, Ella Mae Teufel of Brenham. She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Nettie Stepan, her husband, Kermit Teufel and her Goddaughter, Kelly Beth Balke. Waldo H. Dannhaus
Waldo H. Dannhaus, 82, passed away Sept. 27, 2015 at Brenham Nursing and Rehab. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 1, 2015 at Salem Lutheran Church of Welcome, with Pastor John Sutton officiating. Burial will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday evening at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Survivors include brothers Bernard Dannhaus and wife Alice, Edward Dannhaus and wife Sylvia, Elroy Dannhaus and wife Kristen, all of Brenham; sisters Laura Fieseler and Doris Eckermann, both of Brenham, and Alice Heisch Neel of Bellville; nieces and nephews Lavonne Hegefeld and husband Roy, Roy Dannhaus and wife Vickie, Linda Eilers and husband Ron, all of Brenham; Dana Hughes and husband Kelley of Katy, Scot Dannhaus of Burnet, Len Dannhaus and wife Amy of Chicago, Illinois, Dale Heisch and wife Wendy of Euless, Carla Terrian and husband Robert of Phoenix, Avaree Dannhaus, Octavia Sanchez, and Rylee Dannhaus, of Brenham; great-nieces and great nephews include Heather Hegefeld Lohman and husband Brian; Ross Hegefeld and wife Kimberly, Kaci Patranella and husband Mason, Shelley Dippel and husband Dustin, Stacey Eilers, Kathleen Dannhaus, Alexandria Dannhaus, Olivia Dannhaus, Carlos Sagliardi, Alexander Terrian, Isabella Terrian, Grant Hughes, Lillian Hughes, Pierce Hughes, Cynthia Heisch of Arlington, Derrick Heisch of Plano, Joey Lee and Joshua Troup of Euless, Texas; great-great-niece Lila Lohman and great-great nephew Kyle Mason Patranella. Waldo was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Lillian Dannhaus; brothers-in-law Ernest Fieseler, Ralph Heisch, Ron Neel, and Milton Eckermann, Jr.; sister-in-law Joan Dannhaus; nephews Kenneth Eckermann and Carlos Sagliardi. Andy Vernon Langford
Services for Andy Vernon Langford, 94, of Somerville are set for 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at Strickland Funeral Home in Caldwell. Interment will follow at Masonic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 29, 2015, also at the funeral home. Mr. Langford died on September 26th, in League City, Texas. Andy was born July 31, 1921 to Joseph Vertrees Langford and Nettie Mae (Messick) Langford in Wellington, Texas. Andy joined the Army Air Corps in September of 1942. During his three year stint in service he was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, Air Gunner’s Wings, Prisoner of War Medal, European Theater of Operations Ribbon, Air Medal w/2Oak Leaf Clusters, and the Purple Heart. Andy was Honorably Discharged in November of 1945. Andy studied and received a B.S. in Geology and was employed by the U.S. Corps of Engineers for 21 years as a Geologist. He was also a member of the VFW, AAPG, AIME, the Elks, and the 379th Bomb Group. Andy is survived by his wife; Nell Joy (Putman) Langford; son Larry Davis and wife Marilee Scott of Houston; daughters; Joy Anne Eaton of Bryan, Texas, Kelley Krenek and husband Larry of League City, Texas; and grandchildren; Stephen Eaton of Huntsville, Christopher Eaton of Bryan, Kerrie Krenek Trueheart of Pearland, Katherine Langford of The Colony, Audrey Goodgion of McKinney; great-grandchildren, Jenna Trueheart and Olivia Goodgion. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Andrew Langford; and daughter, Mary Helen Langford. Remembrances are gratefully accepted at the Caldwell VFW Post #4458. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Strickland Funeral Home of Caldwell.

Edward Fred Kruse
Edward Fred Kruse, 87, husband of Evelyn Tiaden Kruse, died Sept. 23, 2015 in College Station. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 26, 2015 at the Brenham High School auditorium, with Pastor Phil Fenton officiating. A private family burial will take place later in the day. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25 evening at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Kruse of Brenham; son and daughter-in-law Paul and Barbara Kruse of Brenham; daughter and son-in-law Karen and Wes Hall of College Station; daughter-in-law Jane Skatell of Charleston, S.C.; brother and sister-in-law Howard and Verlin Kruse of Brenham; sisters Evelyn Ann Kruse and Mildred Bridges, also of Brenham. Also surviving are numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sons, Ken Kruse and Neil Kruse. Funeral arrangements for Edward Fred Kruse are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 West Main, Brenham.

Helen (Kaminski) Nowak
Helen (Kaminski) Nowak, age 93 of Brenham, passed away at her residence on Friday, September 18, 2015. Helen Nowak is survived by children Delores Schulze, Johnny Nowak of Porter and Deacon Dan Nowak; grandchildren Jeffery Nowak, Jason Schulze (wife Diane), Dustan Schulze, Sabriana Palmer (husband Phil); great-grandchildren DaShawn Wright, Bre’Anna Burns, Payton Schulze; sisters Pearly Nelson, Gertrude Paradowski, Mary Bartniski; sisers-in-law Edwina Kaminski, Val Nowak and Natalie Kaminski. A Rosary will be prayed on Sunday, September 20 at 6:00 p.m. in Brenham Memorial Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, September 21 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeffery Nowak, Jason Schulze, Dustan Schulze, Phil Palmer, DaShawn Wright and Mark Parabowski. Services for Helen Nowak are in the care of Brenham Memorial Chapel, 2300 Stringer Street, Brenham, TX.

Thomas Edward McGraw

Thomas Edward McGraw entered the presence of God on July 3, 2004. Born on November 17, 1927, in Scottsbluff, NE, Tom has lived in Brenham, TX for the past 20 years with his wife of 53 years Ann Russell McGraw. He is predeceased by his father Earl Clyde McGraw, his mother Mildred Skoda McGraw and his brother Richard Lee McGraw. He is survived by his wife Ann, daughter Lee Ann McGraw, her friend Alicia Larama Cargile, son James Russell McGraw, his wife Beth Dunsworth McGraw, his daughters Taylor Young McGraw and Corey Linfield McGraw and their son Bryce Loren McGraw, and daughter Elizabeth Ann Ricks, her husband Donald Alan Ricks and their children Jacob Macrae Ricks and Mary Elizabeth Ricks, brother Stephen Clyde McGraw, his wife Barbara Bergson McGraw and their children Earl Clyde McGraw and Andrea McGraw, sister-in-law Cynthia Breed McGraw and nieces Susan McGraw Schawe and Leslie McGraw Davis and their families.
Tom graduated from Newton High School in Newton, MA, and is a 1951 graduate of Norwich University in Northfield, VT. He served in the United States Army as First Lieutenant in the occupation forces in Germany.
Tom and Ann raised their family in Webster Groves, MO, where they lived for 30 years. While in St. Louis, Tom worked for Laclede Gas Company and was accomplished in many organizations including American Society of Safety Engineers, Midwest College Placement Association, Safety Council of Greater St. Louis, Missouri Safety Council, American Society for Training and Development, Chamber of Commerce of Greater St. Louis, St. Louis County Republican Party, Brentwood Optimist Club, Board Member Webster Groves School District and Faith Christian Academy, Boy Scouts of America, Basketball and Softball Coach, Arrow Rock Historical Tavern, Young Americans Foundation, First Congregational Church, Old Orchard Chapel, Central Presbyterian Church and the Bristol P.T.A.
After moving to Brenham, TX, in 1986, Tom became extremely active in many other organizations including the Brenham Historical Museum, Brenham Chorale, Sunday School Teacher at First Baptist Church in Chappell Hill, Washington County Chamber of Commerce, Republican Party, American Legion Buddy Wright Post #48, Washington Arts Council and the Community Theatre. He and his wife operated a Bed and Breakfast and Mockingbird Hill Christmas Tree Farm. He is most proud of his achievement as Co-Founder, substitute teacher and Board Member of Brenham Christian Academy. His family will remember him for his wisdom, his sense of humor and his unfaltering love.
Memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, 7/7/04, at First Baptist Church in Chappell Hill.

Reggie Scott Rodenbeck

Reggie Scott Rodenbeck, 32, of Houston, TX, died Aug. 4, 2004, in St. Joseph Hospital in Houston.
Mr. Rodenbeck was born July 13, 1972, in Brenham, TX, to Melvin and Martha Lauter Rodenbeck. He was a graduate of Brenham High School. Mr. Rodenbeck was an office assistant in the Stehlin-Deipolyi Oncology Clinic.
Survivors include his mother, Martha Rodenbeck of Brenham; brother and sister-in-law, Curtis and Marlene Rodenbeck of Brenham; sister and brother-in-law, Debbie and Mike Brau of Brenham; nephews, Matthew McLendon, Dillon McLendon and Cullen Rodenbeck; nieces, Brooke Rodenbeck and Abby Brau; aunts and uncles, Charlie and Bernice Rodenbeck, Dorthy Mae Rodenbeck, Elton Rodenbeck, Don and Dee-Dee Smith and Jerry and Karen Lauter; special friends, Chantell Abeldano, Regent Cornell, Bill Peterson; and many other special friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Rodenbeck; brother-in-law, Edward McLendon; uncle, Ervin Rodenbeck; and grandparents.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 7 in St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Gay Hill with Pastor Virgil Pecht officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive visitors at Memorial Oaks Chapel from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, Aug. 6.
Pallbearers will be Regent Cornell, Reginal “Reggie” Pruitt, Matthew Haak, Thomas Stringer, Marcus Pena, David Rexroat, Sean Raspberry, Bill Peterson and Darryl Murchison. All other friends and coworkers of Stehlin-Deipolyi Oncology Clinic will be considered honorary pallbearers.
Memorials may be given to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 8201 Old Gay Hill Rd., Brenham, TX 77833 or the charity of your choice.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main St., in Brenham.
