Rose Honea, 84, of Brenham passed away Friday, November 28, 2008 at Trinity Medical Center.
Rose was born May 9, 1924 to L. R. and Karrie (Brown) Williams. On March 14, 1942 she was married to Jack K. Honea in Anson, Texas. Rose was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting. She was a member of Brenham Church of Christ.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents, husband and son Robert “Bob” Honea.
Survivors include: grandsons, Robb Honea of Brenham and Todd Honea and wife Debbie of Houston; two great-grandchildren, Tyler and Dustin Honea; brother, L. R. Williams, Jr. and wife Peggy of Odessa; sister, Ruth Dalton of California.
Viewing will begin Wednesday, December 3 at noon.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 4, 2008 at Brenham Memorial Chapel with Mr. Doug Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery.

Lucille Marie Stoughton passed away on June 19, 2004 at her home in Brenham, Texas.
She was born November 6, 1936 in Sparta, Michigan, the daughter of Fred and Augusta Nussdoefer Blush.
Lucille was raised on the family farm in the Kent City area where she attended school. She graduated as salutatorian of her senior class and attended Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
In addition to her husband Dale, she is survived by three children, Sheri Reed and her husband Jack of Corpus Christi, Texas; Michele Strealy and her husband of Houston, Texas; Steven Stoughton of Baltimore Maryland and three special grandchildren; Cameron, Taylor and Alison. She is also survived by her mother, Augusta Blush of Kruse Memorial Village in Brenham and a brother, Gordon Blush and his wife Karen of Palm Desert, California. Her father preceded her in death.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, June 22, 2004 at Christ Lutheran Church of Brenham with Pastor Arnie Lundborg officiating.
The family will be receiving friends and relatives at Memorial Oaks Chapel from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Monday, June 21, 2004.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Christ Lutheran Church Building Fund, Hospice of Brazos Valley, or the charity of the donor’s choice.

William Caswell (Bill) Rowlett, Jr.
November 14, 1924 - November 28, 2008
On November 28, 2008, William Caswell (Bill) Rowlett, Jr., age 84, did go gentle into that good night. He is done with suffering now and beyond all pain. Born November 14, 1924 to William C. Rowlett, Sr., and Myrtle Johnson Rowlett, he was a child of the depression and a member of the U. S. Army Air Corps in World War II. A graduate of Milby High School, he attended the University of Houston for 3 years after the war. He worked most of his life for Main Glass and Binswanger Glass in Houston. That rare individual, a native Houstonian, he was a dynamic member of numerous civic organizations, and he devoted countless hours to Scouting and community development efforts.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Dolores Marie Rowlett, son William Douglas Rowlett, daughter-in-law Linda Lussier Rowlett, grandson Ellis Robinson Giles and his wife Mary Helen Giles, grandson William Caswell Rowlett III, grandson Evan William Rowlett, and great-grandson Alden Samuel Giles.
All who met him liked him. All who came to know him came to love him. A caring, gentle, honorable man, his spirit, advice, humor, and kindness will be sorely missed.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 3, Brenham Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 2300 Stringer, Brenham, Texas, 77833. Interment will be Thursday at Forest Park Cemetery, Lawndale, in Houston.
Megan Rene Gilmore
(October 22, 1987 - January 27, 2012)
Funeral services for Megan Gilmore, 24 of Giddings, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Giddings with Rev. Keith Aschenbeck and Rev. Robert Tiner officiating. Burial will follow in the Giddings City Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 from 7:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday, February 1, 2012 from 7:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings. A prayer service will be held Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home and the family will be present for visitation from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Megan grew her wings and went to be with Jesus unexpectedly the morning of Friday, January 27, 2012 near Giddings as a result of an automobile accident.
Megan Rene Gilmore was born on October 22, 1987 in Brenham, Texas, the daughter of Gary and Susan (Geisler) Gilmore. She was baptized on November 22, 1987 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Giddings by Rev. Robert Koenig and confirmed on February 9, 2003 at Immanuel Lutheran Church by Rev. John Davis. Megan graduated from Giddings High School in 2006 and attended Concordia Lutheran University in Austin. She was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and enjoyed her job as a waitress at Circle W in Giddings. Her most precious possession was her beautiful baby girl, Rylee. Megan made many wonderful friends and loved visiting with them. She treated everyone she met like family and shared her smile with all.
Megan is survived by her daughter, Rylee Gabrielle Gilmore of Giddings; her parents, Susan Gilmore of Giddings and Gary & Carol Gilmore of Louisiana; her grandparents, Elroy & Jane Geisler of Giddings and Ernie & Marilyn Gilmore of Iola; brothers, Jeremy Gilmore and Erik Gilmore both of Giddings; aunts and uncles, Dennis & Sharon Blasig of Giddings, Sandra Geisler and Margie Trojanowsky of Brazoria, Ernest Gilmore II of Bryan, Donnie & Carolyn Muzny of Caldwell and Brad & Sabrina Day of Ruston, LA as well as numerous cousins, other family members and friends.
Pallbearers will be Justin Kessler, Bradey Blasig, James Polnick, Tom Gallier, James Shank, Ernest Gilmore II, Donnie Muzny and Brandon Muzny. Honorary pallbearers will be Mason Blasig and Dennis Blasig.

Herbert Korthauer, 90, of Burton, died Friday, June 25, 2004 at Trinity Medical Center.
Mr. Korthauer was born December 31, 1913, in the Rehburg community to William and Louise Landua Korthauer.
Mr. Korthauer was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith in St. Paul Lutheran Church, where he was a member all his life. He served on the church council and the church building committee.
Mr. Korthauer was educated in the Rehburg school.
Mr. Korthauer lived on the Korthauer homestead all his life. He was a farmer and rancher, and loved his cattle.
Survivors include his sister and brother-in-law Florence and Edwin Harmel; nephews and nieces Elwood and Ora Lee Goldberg, Wilburn and Anntlee Goldberg, Melvin and Pat Korthauer, Margie Haar, Shirley and Glenwood Prenzler, Evelyn and Arthur Kockwelp, Ora Nell and Woodrow Heine, Ann Dallmeyer and Sherry Harmel; and numerous great and great-great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Alvin Korthauer, Martin Korthauer, Wilfred Korthauer and Clarence Korthauer, six sisters Selma Dallmeyer, Mattie Heine, Mamie Korthauer, Leola Korthauer, Emma Goldberg and Nelda Korthauer, three nephews Leon Dallmeyer, Clarence Haar and Donnie Harmel.
The funeral service for Herbert Korthauer will be at 3:00 p.m., Monday, June 28, in St. Paul Lutheran Church of Rehburg, with Pastor Larry Henrichs officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m., Saturday until 12:00 noon Sunday at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Mr. Korthauer will lie in state at Foehner Funeral Home in Burton from 1:00 p.m. Sunday until 1:00 p.m. Monday. Family will be present from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday to greet relatives and friends at Foehner Funeral Home in Burton.
Pallbearers will be Debra Goldberg, Glenwood Prenzler, Woodrow Heine, Eddie Garza, Wilburn Goldberg, Melvin Korthauer, Mike Harmel and Ricky Fischer. Other nieces and nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Memorials may be given to St. Paul Lutheran Church Rehburg.

Erma E. Walker
June 10, 1929 - November 30, 2008
Erma E. Walker, 79 of Brenham, passed away at her home Sunday, November 30, 2008.
On June 10, 1929, Erma was born to Alex and Anna Gasper in N. Canton, Ohio. She was baptized in Ohio and was confirmed March 1947 in Christ E & R Church of Cypress. She was a 1947 graduate of Cy-Fair High School. On April 24, 1948, Erma married Raymond H. Walker. Erma enjoyed dancing and was active with the Bluebonnet Opry. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and two sisters.
Her loving family includes: husband, Raymond H. Walker; son, Charles A. Walker and wife Sandra; daughters, Janice Kitzmann and husband Clayton, Colleen Nungesser and husband George; grandchildren, Clint Kitzmann, Leigh Neidigk and husband Lance, Charlotte Kitzmann, Amy Guterrez and husband Art, Mallory Walker, Taylor Walker, Chris Nungesser and wife Kelli, Barrett Nungesser; great-grandchildren, Ethan, Brennan, Kaden, Calleigh; brother, Billy Gasper and wife Carolyn; sisters, Margaret Roberts, Mary Ulrich and husband Johnny; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the Walker family will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, December 2 in Brenham Memorial Chapel.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 3 in St. John Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill with Rev. David Hansen officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Clint Kitzmann, Chris Nungesser, Barrett Nungesser, Milton Roberts, Gary Roberts and Cole Dismukes. Honorary pallbearers will be Henry Drapela and Johnny Ulrich.

Robert (Bob) K. Honea
August 5, 1943 - December 1, 2008
Robert Kannada “Bob” Honea, 65 of Brenham, passed away Monday, December 1, 2008.
Bob was born August 5, 1943 in Brownwood, Texas to Jack Kannada Honea and Rose Belle Williams Honea. He graduated from Texas Tech University with a Business Degree. On August 25, 1962 he married Patsy Ellen Brown in Crane, Texas. Bob retired as Corporate Vice President with Champion Technologies in Houston.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
Survivors are: sons Robb Honea of Brenham and Todd Honea and wife Debbie of Houston; two grandchildren Tyler and Dustin Honea, uncle L. R. Williams, Jr. and wife Peggy of Odessa and aunt Ruth Dalton of California.
Viewing will begin Wednesday, December 3 at noon.
