Charles William Schulte
Charles William Schulte, 70, husband of Mary Ann Hahn Schulte, passed away July 2, 2015 at MD Anderson in Houston, after fighting a courageous ten year battle with Multiple Myeloma Cancer. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, July 6, 2015 at First Baptist Church, with Pastor Martin Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m., Sunday, July 5, 2015, at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Charles was a true patriot, and, in his honor, the family requests that all who wish to pay their respects to begin calling at Memorial Oaks Chapel on Sunday, July 5, 2015, so everyone can celebrate the Fourth of July and its significance with their own friends and family. Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Schulte; son and daughter-in-law John and Kristi Schulte of Jourdanton, Tx.; daughters Stacey Walters of Brenham, and Stephanie Kaiser of College Station; grandchildren: Mary Kate Walters, Winston Walters, Kristin Kaiser, Connor Kaiser, Dillon Schulte, and Caden Schulte; sister-in-law Barbara Schulte of Houston; sisters and brothers-in-law Johnnie and Harold Kolkhorst of Houston, and Mary “Puddin” and Charles Barnes of Brenham; brother-in-law Jimmie Hahn, Jr.; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Charles and Cynthia Hahn, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Elsie and Johnie Schulte; sister, Marian “Sugar” Kolkhorst; brother, Johnie “Bubba” Schulte, and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Jimmie Sr. and Alma Hahn. Funeral services for Lenora Wellmann, 91, widow of Harry Wellmann, are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 3, 2015 at Immanuel Lutheran Church of Wiedeville, with Pastor Kenneth Weiss officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Wellmann passed away June 30, 2015 at Scott and White Hospital in Brenham. Sophie Kathrine Levandowski, of Hempstead Texas, passed away Monday, August 17, 2015 in Golden Creek Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Navasota. Sophie Levandowski is survived by daughters Barbara Sisk, Susan Levandowski, sons Leon Wallace Levandowski Jr. and wife Beverly, Patrick Levandowski and wife Tanya, eight grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, two great-great- grandchildren; brothers Johnnie Kubeczka and Antone Kubeczka. Visitation with the Levandowski family will be from 5-7 p.m., Rosary at 7 p.m., Thursday, August 20, 2015 in Brenham Memorial Chapel. Henry Steinfeld, Jr., 79, the husband of May Dell (Glenz) Steinfeld, passed away August 15, 2015 in Bryan. Clarence "Tex" Benkoski
Clarence “Tex” Benkoski, age 78 of Brenham and the husband of Bonnie Benkoski, passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at the family residence. Tex began the Tex’s Barbeque business in 1982 with his wife, Bonnie, until 2012, when they closed the restaurant. Tex was known for his delicious open pit barbeque. Tex Benkoski is survived by his wife Bonnie; daughters Becky Hanath (husband Rodney), Bernadette Hancock (husband J.P.), Beth Minavi (husband Mike); grandchildren Krystal Wellman, Nicholaus Hanath and fiancée Mallory Warzon, Aurbrey Eikenhorst and husband Blake, Chelsea Minavi, Casey Minavi. Also many cousins, friends from Sealy Mattress, Kenjura Tile and employees and friends from Tex’s Barbeque survive him. He is also survived by his constant companion, Kitty. Visitation with the Benkoski Family will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 12 in Brenham Memorial Chapel. Ottilie “Tillie” (Brinkmeyer) Williams, age 94 of Brenham and the widow of John T. Williams, passed away February 9, 2015. Tillie Williams is survived by her children, Gladys and Arthur “Bill” Williams, Katie and Luther Hueske, James Elwood and Renee Williams; step-children, Tommie and Gay Nell Williams, Jimmie Williams; grandchildren, Bobby and Lanette Williams, Mark and Sharon Williams, Wade Hueske and special friend Georgette Konieczny, John Hueske, Mitchell Williams Mason Williams; great-grandchildren, Robyn and Shannon Payne, Jamie and Justin O’Brien and Carter Williams.
