Dustin Derrick Gross, 33, of Industry, TX passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 20, 2014. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 26, 10:00am-7:00pm at Koenig & Strickland Zaskoda Chapel, in Industry. Family will receive friends from 3:00-6:00pm. Funeral services will be held at Industry United Methodist Church, 1914 Main Street, Industry, TX., at 2:00pm on Sunday, July 27. Burial will follow at Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Industry United Methodist Church, P O Box 86, Industry, TX 78944; Sharecropper’s Antique Farm Equipment Club, 3100 FM 3456, Brenham, TX 77833; or Industry VFD, P O Box 146, Industry, TX. Deborah Kay (Flentge) Dorman
Deborah Kay (Flentge) Dorman, 59, died July 24, 2014 at Bayshore Medical Center in Pasadena. A Memorial Service is scheduled for 2 p.m., Sunday, July 27, 2014 at Memorial Oaks Chapel, with Pastor Charles Parnell officiating. The family will receive friends and family Sunday from 12 noon until service time at 2 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Survivors include her parents, Milton and LaRuth Flentge of Brenham; sister, Marsha Ray; nephews Michael Ray and wife Rachel, Mitchell Ray and wife Tracy, Tyler Ray and wife Renee; great-nephews and great-nieces Jack Mitchell Ray, and Kaci, Tyler, Karris, and Jay Gilmore; father-in-law Lyle Dorman of Pennsylvania, as well as numerous other relatives. Preceding her in death were her grandparents Otto and Minnie Boecker, and Otto and Ella Flentge, husband John Dorman, mother-in-law, Bonnie Dorman, and several aunts and uncles. Funeral arrangements for Deborah Kay Dorman are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main, Brenham.

Vernell Lois Fuchs
Vernell Lois Fuchs of Brenham, died May 3, 2014 in La Grange, at the age of 77. Survivors are her sister, Doris Heinecke and nephew Glenn Heinecke, both of La Grange; nephew Allen Heinecke and wife Kay of Ft. Worth; niece, Karen Greer and husband Ted of Clearwater, Florida, three grand nephews, one grand niece, two great grand nephews, and three great grand nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Martha Fuchs; brother and sister-in-law, Elvis and Elbertha Fuchs, a brother-in-law, Marvin Heinecke, and grand nephew, Nathan Greer. A Memorial Service for Ms. Fuchs will be held at 10:00am, Saturday, July 26, 2014 at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Funeral arrangements for Vernell Lois Fuchs are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main, Brenham.

Walter Seilheimer
Walter Seilheimer, 87, of Burton, died July 13, 2014, at Scott and White Hospital in Brenham. The funeral service for Walter Seilheimer will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 14 at Memorial Oaks Chapel with Rev. Glen Schoeneberg officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Monday, July 13 at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Survivors include his sister-in-law, Juanita Seilheimer of Brenham; nephews, Craig Gaskamp, Allen Wayne Gaskamp, Jeffery Gaskamp; and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his son, Rory Seilheimer; brothers, Allen, Lonnie and Warren Seilheimer; sister, LaVerna Gaskamp; and nephews, Bobby and Howard Seilheimer. Funeral arrangements for Walter Seilheimer are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main St., Brenham.

Wilburn W. Neutzler
Funeral services for Wilburn W. Neutzler of Brenham, are scheduled for 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Greenvine, with Pastor Rich Nelson officiating. Burial will follow in the La Bahia Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m. Tuesday evening at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Mr. Neutzler passed away in Brenham on July 12, 2014, at the age of 83. Survivors include his brother Elmer Neutzler, and a sister-in-law, Erna Mae Neutzler, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, four sisters, two nephews, and two nieces. Funeral arrangements for Wilburn W. Neutzler are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main, Brenham.

Russell Wayne Reuter
Russell Wayne Reuter, 52, of Brenham, died July 10, 2014 in a Brenham nursing home. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Monday, July 14, 2014 at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, with Pastor Phil Fenton officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Lea Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Sunday evening at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Survivors include his mother, LaVern Reuter; a son, Justin Reuter, and a daughter, Tara Reuter, all of Brenham; sister and brother-in-law Susie and John Bilski of Brenham; nephew Nick Bilski and wife Stephanie; niece, Jenny Bilski and special friend Brent Folsom; great-niece Blair Bilski; special aunts and uncles Harvey and Floyann Merten of Brenham and Delvin and Lucille Reuter of Orchard, and an aunt, Connie Schulz of Fredericksburg. He was predeceased by his father, Clarence Reuter. Funeral arrangements for Russell Wayne Reuter are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main, Brenham.

Charles Ray “CJ” Richardson, Jr.
Charles Ray “CJ” Richardson, Jr., age 13 and the son of Charles Ray and Pam (Hutchinson) Richardson, ended his courageous battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston. CJ is survived by his loving family, Mom and Dad, Pam and Charles; brother Cameron; aunts and uncles Mary Burks, Stephanie Burks, Lisa Burks, Shelia Rogers, Ricky Harris, Niece Harris, Jennifer Hutchinson, Tina Vasquez, Charles Love, Samantha Fleeks, Joseph Love; maternal grandparents Brenda Hutchinson and Charles Love; paternal grandmother Doris Burks along with CJ’s best friends Dalton Mcary, Kegan Eason, Domontric Winters. He is also survived by all of Team CJ with special gratitude to Texas Children’s Hospital’s Dr. Julienne Brackett and Dr. Stephanie Gruner and the entire team that worked with him over the past 10 months; Memorial Hermann’s Life Flight and Hospital; Washington County EMS; Brenham Bucks Baseball, and Hospice Brazos Valley for the use of their facility for CJ’s benefit. The family also wishes to extend special thanks and recognition to CJ’s school and especially his class, the incoming 8th grade. Visitation with the Richardson family will be Friday, July 11 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at New Beginnings Missionary Baptist Church in Brenham. Funeral services for CJ Richardson will be held Saturday, July 12 at 1:00 p.m. at Brenham Junior High School with Pastor Artis Edwards, Sr. officiating. CJ will be laid to rest in Prairie Lea Cemetery.Memorials may be given to Adam’s Angels Ministry, P.O Box 2573, Brenham, Texas, 77834. Gladys Pearl (Schmitt) Hueske
Gladys Pearl (Schmitt) Hueske, age 90, of Brenham and the widow of Louis Robert Hueske, passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2014 in Gazebo Terrace. Gladys Hueske is survived by daughters and sons-in-law Helen and Delbert Ladewig, Betty and Charles Witte all of Brenham; grandchildren Jason and Tasha Ladewig, Bradley Ladewig, Charlie Witte, Clayton Witte, Caroline and Kris Wood; great-grandsons Jayden Allen Ladewig, Jacob Austin Ladewig; sister Esther Quebe; aunts JoAnn Gaskamp, Tomelane Gaskamp; numerous other relatives and friends who knew her as “Aunt Gladys”. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Friday, July 11 in Brenham Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 12 in Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church of Salem with Pastors Charles Parnell and Greg Gaskamp officiating. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. Those wishing to give memorial gifts may be directed to Salem Lutheran Church. Laura Bittner Hosea
(October 20, 1941 - May 3, 2012)
Funeral services for Laura L. Hosea, 70 of Giddings, Texas, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 6, 2012 at Christ Lutheran Church in Loebau, Texas with Rev. Paul Hartfield officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Sunday, May 6, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings. The family will be present Saturday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Mrs. Hosea passed away on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at her home in Giddings.
Laura Lorine Bittner Hosea was born on October 20, 1941 in Giddings, Texas to Alvin & Wilhemina "Minnie" (Schulze) Bittner. She was united in marriage to Herbert Hosea on March 9, 1963 at Christ Lutheran Church in Loebau, Texas. Mrs. Hosea was a childcare provider for over 45 years and owned and operated Hosea Day Care Center in Giddings. She was a lifelong member of Christ Lutheran Church in Loebau where she was a member of the Ladies Aid. Mrs. Hosea had a passion for fashion and enjoyed collecting jewelry, purses and shoes. She could usually be found swinging in the front yard gazebo with a child on her lap.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Frieda Fritsche, Florence Fischer, Bernice Friedrich and Frances Ganske; brothers, Martin Bittner and Milton Bittner; sisters-in-law, Evelyn Bittner and Fay Hosea; brothers-in-law, Marvin Fritsche, Gilbert Fritsche, Elmer Fischer, Milton Friedrich, Billy Ganske, Milton Kappler, Harold "Sonny" Hosea, Ray Hosea and James Hutson.
Mrs. Hosea is survived by her husband of 49 years, Herbert Hosea of Giddings; two daughters, Darlene & Ralph Oltmann of Waco and Brenda & Corey Handrick of Giddings; five grandchildren, Derrick & Amber Oltmann of Robinson, Justin Handrick of Giddings, Taylor Handrick of Giddings, Ethan Handrick of Giddings and Alyson Oltmann of Waco; one great granddaughter, Carolee Oltmann of Robinson; brother, Monroe & Bernice Bittner of Giddings; sister, Gladys Fritsche of Loebau; sisters-in-law, Carol Jean Hutson of Round Rock and Shirley Hosea-Yantis of Hearne; brother-in-law, Harry Lee & Verlyne Hosea of Elgin as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be Ricky Fritsche, Marvin Fritsche, Dennis Kappler, Larry Bittner, Gary Fritsche and Myron Friedrich. Honorary pallbearers will be Mrs. Hosea's grandsons, Derrick Oltmann, Justin Handrick, Taylor Handrick and Ethan Handrick.
Memorials may be made to the Christ Lutheran Church Sunday School Fund or the Christ Lutheran School Tuition Assistance Fund.

Henry “Bubba” Hughes
Henry “Bubba” Hughes, 51, of Washington, died on July 4, 2014 at his residence, the husband of Kerry Hughes. Surviors include his wife, Kerry Hughes of Washington; daughter and son-in-law Whitney and Zach Wagner, son Henry “Wade” Hughes, granddaughter Sydney Claire Wagner, father Henry Walter Hughes, Sisters and brothers- in-law; Judy and Randy Kapchinski, Susannah and Edd Compton, mother-in-law JoAnn Kominczak, sisters-in-law and brothers- in-law, Kay and Ronnie Phillips, Lynda and Matthew Kubeczka, Russell Porter, uncles and aunts Herbert and Patricia Hughes, Jody and Alan Richards, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and more friend than you can count. He was preceded in death by his daughter Rachel Rene Hughes, mother Nancy Freeman Hughes, father-in-law; Bennie Kominczak, grand parents, N. W. “Dick” and Norma Freeman, and Henry Water and Maude Bess Hughes. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at St. Peters Episcopal Church with Father Robert Gribble officiating, burial will follow at Prairie Lea Cemetery. Visitation with the family and friends will be Monday July 7, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham, TX. Funeral arrangements for Henry “Bubba” Hughes are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 West Main, Brenham.

Dorothy (Dot) Marie Sklar
Dorothy (Dot) Marie Sklar, age 81 of Brenham and the widow of John Frank Sklar, died June 29, 2014 in Brenham Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Dorothy “Dot” Sklar’s survivors include son Randy and wife Mary; granddaughter Alexis; granddaughter Leann and husband Matt; and great-grandson Ayden. Also surviving are special family members Ray Steinfeld, Janice Steinfeld, and Judy Kay Schutz and family; sisters Ann Smith and Hazel Zak; sisters-in-law Wanda Hagan and Olivia Lane; and numerous other family members and friends. Visitation with family and friends will be Wednesday, July 2, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM with the Recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 PM at Brenham Memorial Chapel. The Funeral Service will be on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 10:00 AM in the Brenham Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in the Industry Catholic Cemetery. The family suggest in lieu of flowers memorials be directed to Hospice Brazos Valley, 302 E Blue Bell Rd, Brenham TX 77833
