Visitation at Brenham Memorial Chapel will be held Thursday, June 26 from 5-7 p.m. On Friday, June 27, rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. by the Knights of Columbus Council 2917 at Pat H. Foley Funeral Home, 1200 W. 34th St., Houston with visitation from 5-8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Christ the King Catholic Church, 4419 N. Charles Ogrodowicz, age 71 and the husband of Margaret “Margie” Ogrodowicz passed away Monday, June 23, 2014. Dorothy “Dody” Theeck
Dorothy “Dody” Theeck, age 70 and the widow of James “Jim” Theeck, passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at Brenham Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Visitation will be held from 5 until 7 pm, Thursday, June 26, 2014 in Brenham Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be held in Independence Baptist Church at 3 pm on Friday, June 27, 2014 with Pastor Phil Hassell officiating. Interment to follow in the historic Independence Cemetery. Dody Theeck was a member of Independence Baptist Church, Washington County Fair Association, Aggie Moms, TEEA and the Washington County Cattlewomen. Dody Theeck is survived by two sons, Clay Theeck and wife Julia of Brenham, Shannon Theeck of Somerville; grandchildren Blane Theeck, Avery Theeck, Cameron Theeck, Cody Williams and wife Tia, Justin Solomon and wife Stefanie; great-granddaughter Cassie Williams; sister Marilyn Taylor; brother Bill Hegar; half- brother, Douglas Hegar along with cousins, nieces and nephews. Allen D. Schulze
Allen D. Schulze of Brenham and the husband of Marcie Schulze passed away on Friday, June 13, 2014 in Houston, Texas. Visitation with the family will be This evening, Monday, June 16, 2014 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., with Vigil at 7:00 p.m., at Brenham Memorial Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Brenham. Interment will follow in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Allen was born February 23, 1964 in Brenham, Texas to Emery and Helen (Pape) Schulze. He was baptized and confirmed in St. John’s Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill. Allen was later confirmed into the Catholic faith and remained a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He was married to Marcella “Marcie” Kwiatkowski on December 17, 1988 at St. Mary’s. Allen was a 1982 graduate of Brenham High School, 1984 graduate of Blinn College, and a proud member of the Texas A&M Class of ‘87, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Economics. Allen worked at Kennedy Holtkamp, Inc. and Brazosland Appraisals, Inc. as an appraiser for several years while completing his Master’s Degree in Land Economics and Real Estate from Texas A&M. He was a Texas Certified Real Estate Appraiser and was employed by the Texas Department of Transportation as a Right of Way Agent for the past 19 years. His loving family includes: Marcie, daughter, Haleigh Schulze and fiancé Robert Taylor, son, Garrison Schulze; parents, Emery and Helen Schulze; sisters and brothers-in-law, Debbie and James Hanath, Becky Schulze, and Gail and Shannon Mitschke; mother-in-law, Shirley Kwiatkowski; sister-in-law, Michelle and husband Michael Wellmann; as well as nieces and nephews, Ross and Jenna Curtis, Cody and Kristen Hanath, Brandon and Jade Mitschke, and Kate and Eric Wellmann. Preceding him in death was his father-in-law, Pete Kwiatkowski Jr. and grandparents, Herbert and Alma Pape and Ed and Matilda Schulze. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Boy Scout Troop 742, or to the charity of your choice. Helen Ella Dannhuas
Helen Ella Dannhuas, 93, of Brenham, the widow of Raymond Dannhaus, died on June 7, 2014 in High Hope Care Center. Funeral service are scheduled for Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at Salem Lutheran Church of Salem, with Pastor Toby Burk officiating, burial will be at Prairie Lea Cemetery. Visitation with the family and friends are from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Survivors include; sons and daughters-in-law; Leonard and Mary Dannhaus of Bryan, R.E. “Sonny” and Marsha Dannhaus of Brenham, TX, and Don Allen Dannhaus of Brenham, daughter and son-in-law Betty and Mack Morris of Brenham. Sister; Mary Tockhorn of Brenham, brother and sister-in-law Milton and LaRuth Flentge, grandchildren; Mike and Aimee Morris, Kevin and Crista Morris, Shelley and Chris Harper, Brandon and Rachel Dannhaus, Amber and Kyle Pryor, and Dana and Scott Nathanson, great-grandchildren; Hannah and Meghan Morris, Hailey Breeding, Holden Harper, Hagen Dannhaus, Kason Dannhaus, Kori Dannhaus, Evie Nathanson and Ray Nathanson, and numerous nieces and nephews. Annie Laurie Thaler
Annie Laurie Thaler, 84, of Brenham, wife of Raymond C. Thaler, Sr. died June 6, 2014 at Scott and White Hospital in Brenham. Funeral service are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Rehburg, with pastor Denise Seymore officiating burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation with the family and friends are Monday June 9, 2014 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Survivors include her husband Raymond, son and daughter-in-law Ray and Linda of Brenham, daughter Annette Lurner and special friend Steve Barker of Brenham, grandchildren, Matt Thaler and fiancé Patricia of Lake Worth, Lindsay and Blake Henry of Portland, TX., Terry Turner of Austin, great-grandchildren Madalyn Claire Henry and Aaron Chestly Thaler; sister Nathalie Rothermel Landua of Brenham, brother and sister-in-law; James D. and Dorothy Ann Rothermel of Brenham; sister-in-law; Dorothy Rothermel of Brenham; Joan Rothermel of Brenham, Marjorie Ann Thaler of Pasadena and numerous nieces and nephews. Raymond Lloyd Gandy
Raymond Lloyd Gandy, age 81, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at Scott & White Hospital-Brenham. A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Saturday, June 7th in Brenham Memorial Chapel with Charlie Matejowsky officiating. Survivors include: wife Bonnie (Dodds) Gandy, sons Patrick Gandy, Randy Gandy, Raymond Gandy and Kevin Gandy; daughter Dianna (husband Charles) Hamby; seventeen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Mary Devore, Joyce (husband Paul) Jones, Linda Pruitt (special friend Randall Lombard), Nedra Mantilla, Sandra (husband Dan) Davis; brothers-in-law Kenneth (wife Sharon) Dodds, William “Buddy” (wife Phyllis) Dodds, Thomas (wife MaryAnn) Dodds, Melvin Dodds (special friend Debbie Ferris) along with numerous nieces and nephews. Mark F. Kroll
Mark F. Kroll, husband of Karen L. Kroll and a Brenham Texas native, passed away peacefully in his home in the early morning of June 3rd, 2014 with love and support from his family near and far. Mark is survived by his wife, Karen; his children by marriage: daughter, Jennifer Dickson and husband Dave Dickson of Colorado; son Dennis Koch and partner Hilary Naumann and his grandson Kameron Koch of Brenham; and son Ronald Koch and partner Abby Doggett and his grandchildren, Steven Doggett, Kaitlyn Koch and Kyle Koch of Somerville. He is also survived by his sisters and their spouses, Kathy and Morris Faske; Karen and Richard Andresky; and Kristine and David Ottmer. Nieces, Shannon Faske Robertson and husband Steven; Melissa Faske Seilheimer and husband Bart; and Deanna Ottmer; great-niece Carli Seilheimer and great nephew Lane Robertson; and many, many special friends in Brenham and around the country. He is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Fern Kroll. A memorial service, officiated by Jill Vivroux has been scheduled for 4 pm on Sunday, June 8th, 2014 at Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham followed by a gravesite service at Prairie Lea Cemetery. Funeral arrangements for Mark F. Kroll are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main, Brenham.

Mildred H. Willard
(July 10, 1917 - May 19, 2012)
Mildred Hallmark Willard was born on July 10, 1917 in Fort Worth, Texas, the daughter of James H. "Jeat" and Florence Allen Hallmark. She lived in Fort Worth and graduated from North Side High School. She married Dr. H.R. Willard on April 9, 1938. They lived in Fort Worth, San Antonio, El Paso and New Orleans while he served in the military. They moved to Giddings in August 1947.
She was a member of the Methodist Church all her life, having joined when a child at the Boulevard Methodist Church in Fort Worth. She has been a member of First United Methodist Church in Giddings since moving here in 1947.
She was a member of the United Methodist Women, Rejuvenation and had been a member of the Giddings Garden Club, the Order of the Eastern Star and the Giddings Study Club.
She retired from the ASCS in 1974 after working with that agency for 20 years. Millie Willard was known to many for the Birthday cards and the Two Dollar Bills she sent for many years. She resided in Giddings for 65 years before moving to Temple.
She is predeceased by her husband Dr. H.R. “Doc” Willard, parents, sister, Pat Holloway and brother, Dr. J.A. Hallmark.
Survivors include two daughters: Rebekah Willard Barrett and her husband Robert of Hampton Cove, Alabama and Stephanie Lyon and her husband Jerry of Temple, Texas. Four Grandsons: Stephen Barrett and his wife Tabatha of Phoenix City, Alabama, Shannon Barrett and his wife Jennifer of Suwanee, Georgia, Justin Lyon and his wife Melissa of Giddings and Mason Lyon of Ft. Worth, Texas. Great Grandchildren: Katie Barrett, Maggie Barrett, Abby Barrett, Samuel Barrett, Anna Grace Barrett, Kirsten Ellis-Lyon, Bailey Lyon and Emma Lyon, and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and many friends.
Millie died on May 19, 2012.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 21, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday, May 22, 2012 from 7:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings. The Willard family will be present for visitation Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church in Giddings with Rev. Tim Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in the Giddings Memorial Park.
Serving as pallbearers will be Stephen Barrett, Shannon Barrett, Justin W. Lyon, Mason Lyon, Fred Willard and Evan Gonzales. Honorary pallbearers will be Leon Westfall, Doug Westfall, Joe Franks, John Smith, Jeff Mutscher, Tim Pitts, Myron Gantt, Gene Newcomb, Mary Katherine Evans, Loree Rost and Johnny Christiansen.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials can be made to First United Methodist Church of Giddings or the charity of one's choice.

Junette Loraine Smith
Junette Loraine Smith, 77, passed away June 1, 2014 in Brenham. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at First Baptist Church of Brenham, with Rev. Troy Sikes and Rev. Ross Shelton officiating. Burial will take place in Prairie Lea Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m., Tuesday, June 3, at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Survivors include son Russell Smith and wife Suzanne of Houston; daughters Linda Schumacher and husband Scott, Glinda Blank and husband Charles, Teresa Smith, Victoria Smith and Wayne Dicky, Rebecca Hahn and husband Casey, all of Brenham; grandchildren: Stephanie Mackey, David Mackey, Johnny Haney, Philip Haney, Lori Shipp, Stacey Gamboa, Robert Pardee, Ryan Smith, Karen Smith, Russell Arthur Smith, Richard Smith, Jeremy Spiess, Caitlyn Spiess, Travis Gurka, Kyle Gurka, and Landon Gurka; great-grandchildren: Jacob Deaton, Brandon Gibson, Audrey Gibson, Caitlyn Mackey, Keaton Mackey, Oaklen Haney, Robert Taylor Pardee, Christopher Pardee, Skylar Morales, Mary Grace Eubanks, Miyah Smith, and Evan Smith. Also surviving are brothers and sisters-in-law Johnny and Carolyn Breed of Houston, Harvey and Vivian Breed of Friendswood, and Alan and Kathy Breed of Magnolia. Junette was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Myrtle Breed, an infant daughter, Valerie June Smith, and a sister, Virginia Atteberry. Funeral arrangements for Junette Smith are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W.Main, Brenham.
