GRAHAM, Texas – Carol Thomas, 52, of Bryson, Texas died Friday, Jan. 15, 1999, in her home.
Rosary service will be at 4 p.m. today at McMillan-Satterwhite Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be 2 p.m. Monday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Graham. Burial will be in the Cottonwood Cemetery of Bryson.
Mrs. Thomas was born Sept. 24, 1946, in Fort Worth. She and Troy Thomas were married Nov. 12, 1978, in Arlington, Texas. She lived in Breckenridge, Texas, in the 1980s and moved to Bryson in 1993. She was an emergency medical technician and worked with the Ambulance Service in Bryson. She was also a nurse’s aide at Graham General Hospital.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Tina Christine Cody of Albany, Texas, and Carrie Lynn Robertson of Tucson, Ariz.; a son, Ronnie Thomas of Grand Prairie, Texas; a sister, Vicki Wiseman of Monterey, Calif.; and six grandchildren.
Margaret Dunnenberg
VERNON, Texas -- Margaret L. Dunnenberg, 86, died Saturday, Jan. 16, 1999, in a Fort Worth nursing home.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday in Riverside Cemetery of Wichita Falls. Arrangements under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.
Mrs. Dunnenberg was born Aug. 10, 1912, in Vernon. She and Harry Royal Dunnenberg were married Jan. 2, 1944, in Wichita Falls. He died in 1955. She lived most of her life in Vernon, where she was a painter and artist. She worked in the cosmetic industry and was a homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Vernon, was a member of D.A.R. and was a gardener.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. W.T. Belew of Vernon.
The family will be at 1824 Yucca Lane.
Nora Belle Heath Reddy
GAINESVILLE, Texas -- Nora Belle Heath Reddy, 106, of Austin died Tuesday, Jan. 12, 1999, in her home.
Graveside services were at 10 a.m. Thursday in Elmwood Cemetery with the Rev. Elwood S. Poore, pastor emeritus of First United Methodist Church of Gainesville, officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.
Mrs. Reddy was born July 24, 1892, in Stoneburg, Texas. She and George Riley Reddy were married in 1909. He died in 1947. She was a homemaker and was a longtime member of Southside Baptist Church of Wichita Falls. She was a 75-year resident of Wichita Falls.
Survivors include three daughters, Edna Lindsey of Gainesville, Georgianna Craig of Kerrville, Texas, and Joy Sherwood of Oklahoma City; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Robert ‘Jack’ Underwood
KNOX CITY, Texas – Robert H. “Jack” Underwood, 90, of O’Brien, Texas, died Saturday, Jan. 16, 1999, in a Knox City hospital.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at Rochester Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Trice officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
Mr. Underwood was born Dec. 15, 1908, in Graham, Texas. He and Lola Mae DeBusk were married July 23, 1940, in Millsap, Texas. She died Dec. 19, 1989. He lived and farmed in O’Brien for the past 76 years. He served in the Army during World War II, was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Knox City and was a Methodist.
Survivors include a son, C.H. of O’Brien; a daughter, Diana Condron of Coldsprings, Texas; two brothers, Roy B. of Petaluma, Calif., and G.D. of Levelland, Texas; a sister, Opal Floyd of Durham, Conn.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchildren.

Jessie H. Hestand, 90, of Wichita Falls died Saturday, Jan. 16, 1999.

F.F. 'Bill' Fuller
F.F. "Bill" Fuller, 90, died Tuesday, June 30, 1998, in a Wichita Falls hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Chapel with the Rev. Gerald Bryant, pastor of the First Pentecostal Church of God, officiating. Burial will be in Crestview Memorial Park.
Mr. Fuller was born Aug. 13, 1907, in Lydle, Texas. He and Nettie Glover were married Jan. 21, 1935, in Alice, Texas. He worked in the oil field as a driller for 55 years and retired in 1973. He was a member of the Hillcrest Gospel Center. He moved to Wichita Falls from Bowie, Texas, in 1953.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Sherry D. Rossi of Wichita Falls; four sons, Billy and Doyle, both of Wichita Falls, John of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Guinn of Houston; two sisters, Jo Rogers of Seguin, Texas, and Nora Pettus of San Antonio; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home from 7-8 this evening for visitation.

Clarence Virgil Payton
ELECTRA - Clarence Virgil Payton, 85, died Monday, June 29, 1998, in Electra.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tom Medley, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Electra Memorial Park under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home.
Mr. Payton was born June 28, 1913, in Electra. He and Fannie Fisher Payton were married Sept. 13, 1930, in Grosback, Texas. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Farm Bureau, Farmers Co-op - Elliot, the Electra Senior Citizens and the First United Methodist Church Men's Class. He was a farmer and a lifetime resident of Electra.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Evelyn Sonnamaker of Pasadena, Texas, Yvonne Campbell of Plano, Texas, and Billie Minor of Arlington, Texas; a brother, Marvin H. of Harlingen, Texas; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home from 6-8 this evening for visitation.

Emma R. Davis
ARCHER CITY, Texas - Emma R. Davis, 94, died Monday, June 29, 1998, in an Archer City nursing home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Faith Memorial Baptist Church in Archer City with the Rev. John Welter, pastor, and Roger Deerinwater, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Archer City, officiating. Burial will be in Restland Cemetery in Olney, Texas, under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home.
Mrs. Davis was born Jan. 7, 1904, in Rockdale, Texas. She and Ross Davis were married March 14, 1920, in Marlin, Texas. He died July 4, 1950. She had lived in Archer City since 1927 and was an independent oil producer from 1952-68. She also worked as a cook at the Archer City Nursing Home for several years. She was a member of Faith Memorial Baptist Church, where she served as a pianist and Sunday school teacher. A son, James R., died April 23, 1985. A son, Vernon R., died April 16, 1986. A daughter, Eileen Beveridge, died in 1997.
Survivors include five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Leslie Wayne Davis
ARLINGTON, Texas - The Rev. Leslie Wayne Davis, 64, of Arlington died Saturday, June 27, 1998.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Parkview Baptist Church in Arlington. Graveside services will be held at a later date in Oakwood Cemetery in Waco, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Moore Funeral Home in Arlington.
Davis was born Nov. 26, 1933, in Oklahoma City. He moved to Texas in 1950 and graduated from San Angelo High School in 1951. He served in the Air Force for four years, then attended Hardin-Simmons University and graduated in 1959. He graduated from Southwestern Theological Seminary in 1961. He served as the Minister of Education at the First Baptist Church in Winnsboro, La.; Ensley Baptist Church in Birmingham, Ala.; Calvary Baptist Church in Alexandria, La.; First Baptist Church Spring Branch in Houston; Woodland Hills Baptist Church in Jackson, Miss.; First Baptist Church in Brownwood, Texas; Foreign Mission Board in the Bahamas; First Baptist Church in Stephenville; Baker Road Baptist Church in Baytown, Texas; First Baptist Church in Spring Branch, Texas; and Lamar Baptist Church in Wichita Falls. He was the pastor of Parkview Baptist Church in Arlington for two and a half years. He served as president of the Texas Religious Education Association and was instrumental in the leadership of the Wichita, Archer and Clay Baptist Association.
Survivors include his wife, Eleanor; three sons, Robert of Belgium, David of Stephenville, Texas, and Paul of Denton, Texas; his father, Walter R. of Corpus Christi, Texas; two brothers, Perry of New Boston, Texas, and Jack of Fort Gibson, Okla.; and four grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home from 7-9 Thursday evening for visitation.

Ed M. Potter
Ed M. Potter, 97, died Monday, June 29, 1998, in a Wichita Falls hospital.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today in Clara, Texas, Cemetery with L. Keith Parker officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home.
Mr. Potter was born March 17, 1901, in Iowa Park. He was a retired oil field worker and a lifetime resident of the Wichita Falls area.
David Curtis Johnson
TERRAL, Okla. - David Curtis Johnson, 42, died Tuesday, June 30, 1998, in Chickasha, Okla.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Terral Cemetery with Larry Jackson officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Morehead-Goetz Funeral Home in Terral.
Mr. Johnson was born Jan. 26, 1956, in Waurika, Okla. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include three brothers, Roger and Jerry, both of Terral, and Delbert of Magnolia, Ark.; and four sisters, Louise Alexander and Carol Ezzell, both of Ringgold, Texas, Melba Baker of Chickasha, and Judy of Bellevue, Texas.
David C. Oxley
BURKBURNETT - David C. Oxley, 83, of Henrietta, Texas, died Monday, June 29, 1998, in a Wichita Falls hospital.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Randlett, Okla., Baptist Church with Dr. James M. Braden officiating. Burial will be in Randlett Cemetery under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home in Burkburnett.
Mr. Oxley was born Nov. 1, 1914, in Randlett. He and Marie Stanford were married Aug. 25, 1955. He graduated from Randlett High School in 1933 and served in the Army in the Aleutian Islands and South Pacific at Guam and Saipan from 1942-45 during World War II. He was a retired carpenter, building contractor, and lumber yard owner. During the Depression years, he hunted and fished and gave the food to the poor in Randlett and in the Red River Valley area. He was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and the American Legion. He had lived in Henrietta for 23 years and was a former resident of Randlett. A daughter, Mary Louise Wickham, died in 1992.
Survivors include his wife and two grandsons.
Pauline Correll
VERNON, Texas - Pauline Ward Correll, 78, died Monday, June 29, 1998, in a Quanah, Texas, nursing home following a lengthy illness.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday in Chillicothe, Texas, Cemetery with the Rev. Oren Key, pastor of Holy Family Catholic Church, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.
Mrs. Correll was born May 2, 1920, in Denton, Texas. She moved to Chillicothe from Chicago 10 years ago. She was a Catholic. A son, Johnny K., died in 1985.
Survivors include seven daughters, Barbara Yoesle, Mary Patricia, Rose Marie, Wanda Lynn Diety and Ethel Furhman, all of Joliet, Ill., Molly Ross of Tampa, Fla., and Mayzelle Fredrichson of Fayetteville, N.C.; a son, Hershel of New London, Conn.; and a sister, Mayzelle Hardesty of Alvarado, Texas.
The family will be at the funeral home from 2 p.m. until service time Thursday for visitation.
Opal Eakins
SEYMOUR, Texas - Opal Emerson Eakins, 86, died Sunday, June 28, 1998, in a Seymour hospital.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. today at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Glenn Shock officiating. Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. today in Rule, Texas, Cemetery with the Rev. J.R. Williams officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.
Mrs. Eakins was born Jan. 23, 1912, in Rule. She and Emmitt Eakins were married Dec. 22, 1928. He died March 26, 1976. She was a sales clerk in Rule and was a Sunday School secretary for the First Baptist Church for 40 years. She moved to Seymour in 1986. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Seymour.
Survivors include a daughter, Nell Wester of Ozona, Texas; a son, Wayne of Seymour; a sister, Loudell Casey of Rule; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

SAINT JO, Texas - Jessie Dale Berry Jr., 55, of Fort Worth died Monday, June 29, 1998.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Perryman Cemetery in Forsestburg, Texas, with the Rev. C.E. Gordon officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Mr. Berry was born March 14, 1943, in Forestburg. He and Rebecca Sue Haggard were married in October 1969. He worked for a wrecker service and lived his entire adult life in Fort Worth.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Jennifer Steele and Mary, both of New Boston, Texas; three sons, Jessie Jr. and Bobby, both of Fort Worth, and Michael of New Boston; a sister, Marie Penny of Mesquite, Texas; a brother, Kenneth; and nine grandchildren.
A.Z. Loller
VERNON, Texas - A.Z. Loller, 54, died Monday, June 29, 1998, in his Harrold, Texas, home.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Friday at Sullivan Funeral Home.
Mr. Loller was born Aug. 5, 1943, in Athens, Texas. He served with the Army in the K-9 Corps Division. He was a former Chillicothe, Texas, resident and moved to Harrold in 1978. He was a professional truck driver.
Survivors include two sons, Steven Curtis of Barling, Ark., and Ronald Lloyd Hare II of Evadale, Texas; two daughters, Jessica Danielle of Orange, Texas, and Rhonda Delanie Blair of Poway, Calif.; his mother, Jewel of Mesquite, Texas; two sisters, Bessie McGary of Dallas and Jane Daniels of Weatherford, Texas; and four brothers, J.T. of Silsbee, Texas, Charles of Desoto, Texas, Ray of McKinney, Texas, and Billy of Lone Wolf, Okla.

RICHMOND, Va. - Cleo Patricia Odor, 89, of Richmond died Friday, June 26, 1998.
Private services were held.
Mrs. Odor had been a resident of Baylor County, Texas. Burial will be in Fort Meyers, Fla., under the direction of Morrissett Funeral Home in Richmond.
Survivors include two sons, Jerry R. and John F.; a daughter, Lynn Jensen; a sister, Helen C. Carter of Seymour, Texas; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

John Arthur Ballard
PADUCAH, Texas - John Arthur Ballard, 16, of Dalhart, Texas, died Sunday, June 28, 1998, in a Dallas hospital following a lengthy illness.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the First United Methodist Church in Paducah with the Rev. Henry Salley of Plainview, Texas, and the Rev. Jeff Utter, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery under the direction of Seigler Funeral Home.
Mr. Ballard was born Feb. 14, 1982, in Paducah. He lived in Paducah until 1993 and had lived in Lone Star, Texas, and Andrews, Texas, before moving to Dalhart three weeks ago.
Survivors include his parents, Roy and Cynthia Ballard of Dalhart; and his grandparents, Arthur Burr Morris and Awanda Morris, both of Dalhart, and Jewel McGon of Paducah.

BOWIE, Texas - Billie Wayne Hudson, 67, of Bowie died Sunday, June 28, 1998, in a Fort Worth hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Burgess-Fry-Owens-Brumley Funeral Home with the Rev. Doyle Wade, pastor of Sunset, Texas, Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery.
Mr. Hudson was born Dec. 12, 1930, in Thornton, Texas. He and Hazel Throckmorton were married Feb. 12, 1994, in Bowie. He was a diesel mechanic and had lived in Bowie for 50 years.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Cindy Lorentz of Venus, Texas; seven stepsons, Jerry Coffman of Boyd, Texas, Arthur Coffman of Knox City, Texas, Dale Coffman of Milwaukee, Wis., Ray Coffman and Jimmy Clark, both of Bowie, George Clark of Thorndale, Texas, and Lonnie Throckmorton of Yukon, Okla.; a sister, Bettie Shane Price of Haslet, Texas; 20 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Joe Hickman
BOWIE, Texas - Joe Hickman, 80, of Carrollton, Texas, died Monday, June 29, 1998, in Lewisville, Texas.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Burgess-Fry-Owens-Brumley Funeral Home with the Rev. Dick Hennings, minister of music at the First Baptist Church in Bowie, officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Branch Cemetery near Bowie.
Mr. Hickman was born July 26, 1917, in Prairie Branch, Texas. He and Nina Faye Hickman were married Aug. 2, 1942, in Terrall, Okla. She died in 1980. He was a retired truck driver. He lived in Irving, Texas, for 32 years before moving to Carrollton three years ago.
Survivors include two daughters, Glenda Kaye Strain of Carrollton and Yvonne Lamb of Hurst, Texas; a son, Tommy of Irving; a sister, Kathleen Cloer of Fort Collins, Colo.; two brothers, Bunk of Hainesville, La., and Tommy of Amarillo, Texas; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
