Jeff Moyer, 36, of Holliday, Texas, died Saturday, July 4, 1998, in Wichita Falls.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Chapel with the Rev. Darryl Sewell, pastor of First Baptist Church of Holliday, officiating. Burial will be in Crestview Memorial Park.
Mr. Moyer was born Sept. 14, 1961, in Pauls Valley, Okla. He and Ann Baggs were married Nov. 12, 1983, in Wichita Falls. He was a salesman for D-C Auto Parts in Iowa Park. He was a member of the National Turkey Federation and an avid deer hunter.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Heather of Holliday; his mother and stepfather, Marveda and Samie Harrison of Holliday; and a brother, Wade of Eden, Texas.
The family will be at the funeral home from 7-8 p.m. tonight.
Memorials may be made to the Baylor Liver Transplant Center of Baylor Hospital in Dallas.
Eula C. Littleton
Eula C. Littleton, 57, of Wichita Falls, died Friday, July 3, 1998, in a Wichita Falls hospital.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Antioch Baptist Church of Wichita Falls with the Rev. Mark Booker, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery under the direction of Wells Funeral Home.
Ms. Littleton was born Sept. 11, 1940, in Cooper, Texas. She was a 1958 graduate of Booker T. Washington High School. She had lived in Wichita Falls for 46 years. She was a nurses' aide at Rolling Meadows Retirement Center.
Survivors include a daughter, Kim Holloway of Wichita Falls; two sisters, Faye Whittle of Wichita Falls and Billie Randale of Fort Worth; two brothers, Robert Littleton Jr., of Wichita Falls and Clark of Reno, Nev.; and a granddaughter.
The family will be at 1411 Tulip St.
Visitation will be from 11:30-5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Loyd D. Groves
GRANDFIELD, Okla. - Loyd D. Groves, 57 of Burkburnett died Saturday, July 4, 1998, at a Wichita Falls hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church of Burkburnett with Larry Miller, pastor of the Cowboy Church of Henrietta, Texas, officiating. Burial will be in Burkburnett Cemetery under the direction of Gray Funeral Home.
Mr. Groves was born Sept. 27, 1940, in Burkburnett. He and Karol Walker were married Dec. 28, 1961. He and Tammy Maxwell were married Dec. 11, 1974, in Burkburnett. He was a 1959 graduate from Burkburnett High School in 1959. He was a rancher, a horseshoer and a member of the Cowboy Church.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Brett of Burkburnett; two daughters, Karla Powell of Grandfield and Donna Adams of Randlett, Okla.; a sister, Patsy Dickey of Burkburnett; and five grandchildren.
Bobby Joe Coley
DALLAS - Bobby Joe Coley, 63, died Saturday, July 4, 1998, at his Garland, Texas, home.
Services will be at noon Tuesday at Restland Memorial Chapel with the Rev. R.L. Lemmons officiating. Burial will be in Restland Memorial Park.
Mr. Coley was born Oct. 9, 1934, in Woodville, Okla. He and Angeleah DuLaney were married Feb. 12, 1954. He had been in the antique business for the past 10 years. He was the organizer of the Canton Swap Meet for 17 years, and the organizer of the Garland Swap Meet for many years. He had been a resident of Garland for 44 years. He was retired from Sheet Metal Union Local No. 68.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Sue Vale; a son, Jeff; a sister, Christine Bates of Sadler, Texas; and two grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. tonight.
Jerry Lynn Johnson
TERRAL, Okla. - Jerry Lynn Johnson, 45, died Monday, July 6, 1998, in Terral.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Terral Assembly of God with the Rev. Charles Parker officiating. Burial will be in Terral Cemetery under the direction of Morehead-Goetz Funeral Home in Terral.
Mr. Johnson was born July 23, 1952, in Fleetwood, Okla. He worked in construction and was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include his mother, Rosie of Ryan, Okla.; a son, Chris Veal of Terral, Okla.; four daughters, Michelle Owens of Havelock, N.C., Melissa Yourdon of Kingston, N.C., Nawassa Estrada of Mesa, Ariz., and Mandy of Terral; two brothers, Roger of Terral and Delbert of Magnolia, Ark.; four sisters, Louise Alexander and Carol Ezzell, both of Ringgold, Texas, Melba Baker of Chickasha, Okla., and Judy of Bellevue, Texas; and eight grandchildren.
Barbara Ann Hudspeth
ROCHESTER, Texas - Barbara Ann Daniel Hudspeth, 63, died Tuesday, July 7, 1998, in a Missouri City, Texas, hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church in Rochester with the Rev. Truett Kuenstler and the Rev. Dale Turner officiating. Burial will be in Rochester Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hudspeth was born March 31, 1934, in Rule, Texas. She was a graduate of Rochester High School. She was a beautician and was retired from Texas Instruments. She had lived in Stafford, Texas, for many years.
Survivors include a sister, Linda Northam of Throckmorton, Texas; three stepsons, John, Bob and Paul, all of Stafford; a stepdaughter, Vicki Weems of Stafford; and several grandchildren.
Easter J. Adams
GRANDFIELD, Okla. - Easter Juanita Turner Adams, 84, died Monday, July 6, 1998, in Lawton, Okla.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Burkburnett Cemetery with Barry Hardin, minister of the First Baptist Church in Grandfield, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Gray Funeral Home.
Ms. Adams was born April 12, 1914, in Fort Cobb, Okla. She and Wayne E. Adams were married April 24, 1955, in Clovis, N.M. He died in 1982. She grew up in Devol, Okla., and graduated from Devol High School in 1935. She lived in Norman, Okla., for a short period of time. She was a beautician, a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Grandfield. She lived in Odessa, Texas, until her retirement in 1978, when she moved to Grandfield.
Survivors include a son, Wayne C. of Morrolton, Ark.; a daughter, Iris Jean Sims of Grandfield; and a niece, Patsy Taranto of Detroit.
Mike Vialpando
Mike Vialpando, 51, died Monday, July 6, 1998, in a Wichita Falls hospital.
Memorial services will be at 6 p.m. today at Owens & Brumley Funeral Home with the Rev. Hector Medina, pastor of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, officiating.
Mr. Vialpando was born June 19, 1947, in Taos, N.M. He was a mechanic. He had lived in Wichita Falls for four years.
Survivors include three sons, Michael, Ray and Jessie, all of Albuquerque, N.M.; two daughters, Patty Salazar and Peggy Hatchepp, both of Houston; his mother, Oralia Galvan of Houston; four brothers, Manuel of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Frankie and Jerry, both of Houston, and Pete of Wichita Falls; two sisters, Mary Ann Donnally and Emily Pinker, both of Houston; and six grandchildren.
Bonnie Healy
NOCONA, Texas - Bonnie Barnett Healy of Menifee, Calif., died Sunday, July 5, 1998.
Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Nocona Cemetery with the Rev. David Howeth officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Scott-Morris Funeral Home.
Mrs. Healy was born in Pauls Valley, Okla. She was an accountant and had worked for various manufacturing companies. She was a Methodist.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas of Menifee; a sister, Marie Hurd of Wichita Falls; two brothers, Clarence Barnett of Wichita Falls and Wade Barnett Jr. of Nocona; and two grandchildren.
Bernice Grimes Flowers
GRAHAM, Texas - Bernice B. Grimes Flowers, 88, of Graham died Sunday, July 5, 1998.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Remington Street Church of God with the Rev. G.M. Streun, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.
Mrs. Flowers was born July 21, 1909, in Young County, Texas. She and Wesley Samuel Grimes were married Sept. 9, 1933, in Red Top community, Texas. He died March 15, 1959. She and J.A. Flowers were married in 1960. He died in 1980. She was a lifetime resident of Young County. She was a homemaker and a member of the Remington Street Church of God.
Survivors include a daughter, Nina Bone of Graham; three sons, G.W. Grimes of Hobbs, N.M., Jerry Grimes of Petrolia, Texas, and W.B. Grimes of Seymour, Texas; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Leslie Glen Walker
OLNEY, Texas - Leslie Glen Walker, 39, of Olney died Monday, July 6, 1998.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Lunn Funeral Home with the Rev. Greg Johnson, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Olney, officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Seymour, Texas.
Mr. Walker was born Jan. 18, 1959, in Seymour. He was a member of the Baptist Church. He moved to Olney from Seymour 10 years ago.
Survivors include a brother, Rocky Belknap of Olney.
Loyel Glen Williams
DALLAS - Loyel Glen Williams, 39, died Saturday, July 4, 1998, in Wichita Falls.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Munger Baptist Church in Dallas with the Rev. J.L. Mangram officiating. Burial will be in Laurel Land Cemetery under the direction of Singing Hill Funeral Home.
Mr. Williams was born March 10, 1959, in Longview, Texas. He grew up in Wichita Falls and earned a degree in music from Midwestern State University. He was employed by the Dallas Independent School District as a music director at Samuell High School. He was the minister of music at Munger Baptist Church in Dallas for many years. During his career, he received numerous awards and certificates.
Survivors include his mother, Levia Ingram; his stepfather, Mack McKinley Ingram; four sisters, Barbara Charles, Linda Johnson Wilbur, Martha Pope and Tammie Netter, all of Wichita Falls; and two brothers, Gregory of Dallas and Terry Ingram of Wichita Falls.
The family will be at the funeral home from 6-7:30 this evening for visitation.
Juanita Keeter
OLNEY, Texas - Juanita Sorgee Keeter, 81, died Monday, July 6, 1998, in her Olney home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Lunn Funeral Home with the Rev. Greg Johnson, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Olney, officiating. Burial will be in Keeter Cemetery in Elbert, Texas.
Mrs. Keeter was born Aug. 11, 1916, in Wayland, Texas. She and Loyd N. Keeter were married Nov. 30, 1933, in Throckmorton, Texas. He died July 26, 1994. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church. She was also a past member of the Eastern Star. She had farmed and ranched along with her husband. She moved to Olney from Throckmorton more than eight years ago.
Survivors include a son, Leon of Irving, Texas; a sister, Dell Holley of Graham, Texas; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Elbert Cemetery Association.
Cullen Hamm-Goolsby
VERNON, Texas - Cullen Mitchell Hamm-Goolsby, 10-day-old son of Amy Hamm and Rodney Goolsby, died Thursday, July 2, 1998, in a Richardson, Texas, hospital.
Private graveside services were at 2 p.m. Monday in Eastview Cemetery with Dr. Robert Prince, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Vernon, officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.
Cullen Mitchell was born June 22, 1998, in Richardson.
Survivors include his parents of Wichita Falls; two sisters, Ashley and Brianna, both of Wichita Falls; four brothers, Nathan Hamm, Fletcher Goolsby, Chris Goolsby and A.J. Goolsby, all of Wichita Falls; his grandparents, Ronnie and Frances Hamm of Vernon, Betty Cooper of Duncan, Okla., and Ben and Billie Scobee of Wichita Falls; and his great-grandparents, Thelma Hamm of Vernon and Lloyd Cooper of Duncan.
Robert Dale Mathews
FREDERICK, Okla. - Robert Dale Mathews, 44, died Sunday, July 5, 1998, in his Frederick home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Gish Funeral Home with the Rev. Vernon Floyd, pastor of Bible Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Chattanooga Cemetery.
Mr. Mathews was born March 21, 1954, in Frederick. He grew up in Frederick and graduated from Frederick High School in 1971. He was a truck driver from 1974-84. He then went into business with his father as a diesel mechanic. He was a lifetime resident of Tillman County.
Survivors include his wife, Helen; his parents, Robert and Joyce Mathews of Frederick; a son, Robert Scott of Welch, Okla.; and two grandchildren.
Ralph Lee Walker
SAN ANGELO, Texas - Ralph Lee Walker, 95, of Grandfield, Okla., died Saturday, July 4, 1998, in San Angelo.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Presbyterian Church in Grandfield. Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson's Funeral Home in San Angelo.
Dr. Walker was born March 29, 1903, in Bethany, Mo. He and Nina Evelyn Gillespie were married Dec. 20, 1925. She died in 1983. He was a general practitioner for more than 60 years and was the Grandfield High School team physician. He was active in community affairs, serving a term as mayor and establishing the Dr. Ralph Walker Sportsmanship Award. He was recently presented with a 70 years pin of service by the Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include a daughter, Shirley Lee Robison of San Angelo; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church in Grandfield, the First Christian Church in San Angelo or the San Angelo Symphony Society.
Janhye Morton Dunn
HENRIETTA, Texas - Janhye Morton Dunn, 72, died Thursday, July 2, 1998, in Burbank, Calif.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Riverside Cemetery in Byers, Texas, with the Rev. Johnnie Haney officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis Funeral Home.
Mrs. Dunn was born July 26, 1925, in Byers, Texas. She was retired from Webber Aircraft and had lived in North Hollywood, Calif., since 1955.
Survivors include three brothers, Jack Morton of North Hollywood, and Jerry Morton and Glenn Morton, both of Byers.
The family will be at the funeral home from 7-8 p.m. Friday.
Johnny Max Jones
CHILDRESS, Texas - Johnny Max Jones, 43, of Childress died Tuesday, July 7, 1998, in Amarillo, Texas.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim McCurley, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Childress Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.
Mr. Jones was born Dec. 24, 1954, in Childress. He was a farmer and worked as an oil rigger for many years.
Survivors include his mother, Lanora Jones of Childress; a daughter, Melissa of Electra; three sisters, Julia Wheeler of Childress, Nellie of Duncan, Okla., and Rayetta Elkins of Austin, Texas; and two brothers, Alvin and Justin, both of Duncan.
Noel Alvin Romines
Noel Alvin Romines, 77, died Wednesday, July 8, 1998, in a Wichita Falls hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Fairway Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Dingmore, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery in Henrietta, Texas, under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.
Mr. Romines was born March 1, 1921, in Elmore City, Okla. He and Braden Moore were married July 9, 1944, Seymour, Texas. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II as an airplane mechanic stationed in London, England. He was a football official for the SWFOA for 35 years. He was a deacon at Fairway Baptist Church and also taught Sunday School there. He had given more than nine gallons as a donor for the Red Cross. He lived most of his life in Wichita Falls.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Noel Jr. and Doyle W., both of Henrietta, and Reubin Russell of Lewisville, Texas; two daughters, Darlene Swim of Wichita Falls and Mona Ryan of Houston; two sisters, Lee Boney of Ocean Springs, Miss., and Fay Blanscet of Henrietta; three brothers, Joe, J.C. and Tom, all of Henrietta; 17 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home from 7-8 this evening for visitation.
Memorials may be made to the Family YMCA or the American Heart Association.
Majil Lois Pittman
IOWA PARK - Majil Lois Mullins Pittman, 77, of Iowa Park died Tuesday, July 7, 1998, in Wichita Falls.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at First Christian Church with the Rev. Tom Oden-Peace, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home.
Mrs. Pittman was born Nov. 15, 1920, in Coeburn, Va. She and Hubert Ray Pittman were married Jan. 23, 1946, in Richland, Va. He died May 5, 1987. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution First Christian Church and Christian Women's Fellowship. She had lived in Iowa Park for 33 years and lived in Corpus Christi, Texas, for 30 years.
Survivors include two sons, Dale of Aberdeen, Scotland, and Gerald of San Jose, Calif.; a sister, Billie Sluss of Charlotte, N.C.; a brother, Leslie Mullins of Alhambra, Calif.; and four grandchildren.
