Reba Frances Morris
NOCONA, Texas – Reba Frances Glass Morris, 72, of Nocona, died Monday, July 13, 1998, in a Nocona hospital.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Church of Christ with Guy Orbison and Dale Scott officiating. Burial will be in Nocona Cemetery under the direction of Scott-Morris Funeral Home.
Mrs. Morris was born June 6, 1926, in Farmersville, Texas. She and Howard Morris were married Jan. 16, 1945, in Los Angeles. She attended schools in Farmersville. She helped many people by taking them to hospitals, doctors appointments and airports. She was a Daughter of the Republic of Texas. A daughter, Judy Clark, died in 1997. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Reba Jane Martin of Bedford, Texas; two sons, James H. Morris, Jr., of Bedford and John W. of Nocona; a sister, Ilene Bowen of Longview, Texas; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home tonight at 7 p.m.
Memorials may be made to Wichita Falls Hospice, the Youth of Church of Christ or the Cancer Fund.

Neil Whitaker
PARIS, Texas – Neil Whitaker, 65, died Thursday, July 2, 1998, in his Paris residence.
Services were at July 3 at Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home with Dr. Sid Young and the Rev. Jerry Moore officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mr. Whitaker was born Jan. 9, 1933, in Paris. He and Juanita Caldwell were married in 1954 in Paris. He graduated from Paris High School, where he was a well-known athlete. He was a starter on the Paris High football team that won district honors in 1949. He was also on the All-District Mile Relay Team and he was the district broad jump winner. He attended Paris Junior College. He attended Texas Tech and Midwestern State University on football scholarships. After graduating from MSU with a bachelor of arts in general business, he was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers. He served in the Navy during the Korean War. He was owner-operator of Paris Hide and Fur Co. for 17 years until retiring in 1983. He then built the Industrial Self Storage business that he still operated. He was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Renee Wright of Paris; his mother, Wilma Moore of Paris; a sister, Nan Rose of Paris; and two grandchildren.

Stephen Paul Ramming
Stephen "Steve" Paul Ramming, 55, died Tuesday, July 14, 1998, in Wichita Falls.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Chapel with the Rev. Keith Schweitzer, pastor of Grace Lutheran Church in Burkburnett, officiating. Burial will be in Crestview Memorial Park.
Mr. Ramming was born Sept. 19, 1942, in Winfield, Kan. He and Linda Joyce Taylor were married March 28, 1961, in Burkburnett. He served in the Navy. He was the co-owner of Local Boys Liquor and the owner of Parkway Plaza. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and Joseph A. Kemp Lodge No. 1287 A.F. & A.M. He lived most of his life in Wichita Falls.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Stephanie Hair of Wichita Falls; and two grandchildren.
Rick Fields
Rick Fields, 41, of Petrolia, Texas, died Saturday, July 11, 1998, in Waurika, Okla.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Petrolia United Methodist Church with the Rev. Rick Lucier, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Petrolia Cemetery under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home.
Mr. Fields was born June 8, 1957, in Carrollton, Ill. He was a musician, a sculptor, an artist, a cowboy and a welder. He was a member of the Petrolia United Methodist Church. He had lived in Petrolia since 1982.
Survivors include his wife, Darla of Petrolia; a son, Shane Allen of Petrolia; a daughter, Amber Nocole of Petrolia; his mother, Dorothy Hedger of Carrollton; six brothers, Wayne of Wayland, Mo., Garold of Galesburg, Ill., Richard of Vero Beach, Fla., Danny of Quincy, Ill., David of Holliday, Texas, and Kenny of Scotland, Texas; and two sisters, Brenda of Holliday and Janet Franklin of Greenfield, Ill.
The family will be at the funeral home from 7-8 this evening for visitation.

Stephanie L. Labe
Stephanie L. Labe, 21, of Wichita Falls died Sunday, July 12, 1998, in Lawton, Okla.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Owens & Brumley Funeral Home with the Rev. Chuck Schobert, pastor of Walnut Street Baptist Church in Nocona, Texas, officiating. Burial will be in Crestview Memorial Park.
Miss Labe was born Oct. 6, 1976. She lived most of her life in Wichita Falls. She was a 1994 graduate of Rider High School and attended Vernon Regional Junior College and Midwestern State University. She was a purchaser with Waggoner Estate. She was a member of Rainbow Girls Assembly No. 298 and was a Rainbow State Officer. She was a member of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include her mother, Jane Labe Benton of Wichita Falls; her stepfather, Donald Benton of Wichita Falls; a stepbrother, Raymond Benton of Wichita Falls; and two sisters, Sheryl Labe Marshall and Shelly Labe Fenske, both of Wichita Falls.
The family will be at the funeral home from 7-8 this evening for visitation.

Jessie Wilshire North
Jessie Mae Wilshire North, 47, died Sunday, July 12, 1998, in her Wichita Falls home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Owens & Brumley Funeral Home with L. Keith Parker officiating.
Mrs. North was born Feb. 4, 1951, in Wichita Falls. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Ray of Wichita Falls; two daughters, Lorie A. Bouch of Alabama and Mandy Wilshire of Pennsylvania; two sons, David of Wichita Falls and Frank of Ohio; a sister, Margaret Young of Oklahoma; two brothers, Robert Melton of California and Curtis Melton of Texas; her father, Leon C. Melton of Wichita Falls; and 10 grandchildren.

W. Troy Williams
W. Troy Williams, 74, of Jacksboro, Texas, died Monday, July 13, 1998, in Fort Worth.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the First United Methodist Church in Jacksboro with the Rev. Eric Roth, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Hampton Vaughan Crestview Chapel.
Mr. Williams was born April 15, 1924, in Antlers, Okla. He and Ina Burt were married Dec. 9, 1944, in Henrietta, Texas. She died Nov. 22, 1984. He and Deubrella Horton were married Dec. 7, 1990, in Jacksboro. He was a World War II veteran of the Army Air Corps and a member of Disabled American Veterans. He retired from Bridwell Oil Co. in 1986 as a landman. He had also worked for Dresser Industries and Schlumberger. He also built and ran a motel in Pagosa Springs, Colo. He was a member of Fairway Baptist Church and was associated with the First United Methodist Church in Jacksboro.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, John of Colorado Springs, Colo., Mark of Evergreen, Colo., and Matt of Schertz, Texas; three stepsons, Harold Horton of Granbury, Texas, Dudley Horton of Wautaga, Texas, and Greg Horton of Dallas; two brothers, David Al of Wichita Falls and Claude of Donalsonville, Ga.; three sisters, Mae Cruden and Susan Dille, both of Wichita Falls, and Betsy Weinburg of Independence, Mo.; eight grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren.
The family will be at Coker Funeral Home in Jacksboro from 7-8 this evening for visitation.

Vester Allison Jr.
SEYMOUR, Texas - Vester Allison Jr., 57, died Tuesday, July 14, 1998, in Seymour.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Scott Garrett officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.
Mr. Allison was born Feb. 4, 1941, in Powderly, Texas. He and Vera Joyce Bridges were married Aug. 20, 1966, in Weatherford, Texas. He worked for the Patoma Corporation in Fort Worth as a machinist in the aircraft industry. He built parts for the first F-111 fighter planes. He moved to Seymour in 1984. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Pilot Point, Texas.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Kathy Hollar of Seymour; a son, Ricky of Fort Worth; four sisters, Jeannie Jones of Holliday, Texas, Patty Vincent of Seymour, Polly Bradshaw of Fort Worth and Frances Bolin of Pilot Point; a brother, Paul of Pilot Point; three grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home from 7-8 this evening for visitation.

Brianna Marie Losoya
Brianna Marie Losoya, 7-month-old daughter of Domingo and Cara Losoya of Wichita Falls, died Friday, July 10, 1998, in a Wichita Falls hospital.
Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with the Rev. Hector Medina, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Hampton Vaughan Crestview Chapel.
Brianna was born Nov. 16, 1997, in Wichita Falls.
Other survivors include two brothers, Domingo Losoya Jr., and Chandler Lowell, both of Wichita Falls; a sister, Gabriella Losoya of Wichita Falls; and her grandparents; Cam Lowell, Sandra McComis, Debbie Lowell, and Regino Losoya, all of Wichita Falls.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.

Euna Marie Brasier
HENRIETTA, Texas - Euna Marie Brasier, 45, died Tuesday, July 14, 1998, in a Wichita Falls Hospice.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Grace Temple Baptist Church with the Rev. Bob Norsworthy officiating. Burial will be in Hastings, Okla., Cemetery under the direction of Davis Funeral Home.
Mrs. Brasier was born Jan. 14, 1953, in Nocona, Texas. She was a Baptist and had worked as a unit clerk at the Henrietta Care Center.
Survivors include two daughters, Gaye Nason of Electra and Heather Kelley of Wichita Falls; a sister, Geneva Stapler of Littleton, Colo.; a brother, Cecil Gamble of Hastings; and two granddaughters.
Memorials may be made to Hospice.

Lois Louise Ford
Lois Louise Ford, 71, of Wichita Falls died Saturday, July 11, 1998, in Wichita Falls.
Services were at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Chapel with the Rev. Gene Varnell and the Rev. Richard Moore officiating. Burial was in Crestview Memorial Park.
Mrs. Ford was born Feb. 1, 1927, in Wewoka, Okla. Her husband, Leroy 'Buck' Ford, died Sept. 24, 1997. She had lived in Wichita Falls for 70 years. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Christ Gospel Church, Disabled American Veterans and Veterans of Foreign Wars. A son, Roy Lee, died April 2, 1998.
Survivors include four daughters, Annette Reynolds of Electra and Patsy Tellez, Darlene Rhodes, and Charlene Gates, all of Wichita Falls; two sons, David Wayne and Wesley, both of Wichita Falls; a sister, Frances Smith of Silsby, Texas; a brother, Raymond Crain of Wichita Falls; 19 grandchildren; and 38 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls.

Audie Scott Weir
JACKSBORO, Texas - Audie Scott Weir, 87, died Tuesday, July 14, 1998, in a Jacksboro hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Coker Funeral Home with the Rev. Craig Lile officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
Mr. Weir was born July 20, 1910, in Jacksboro. He and Idelle Pate Weir were married Dec. 22, 1933, in Jacksboro. He was a retired rancher and a charter member of Live Oak Baptist Church, of which he was a founder in the early 1940s.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Jerre Geer of Jacksboro and Gwen Pate of Carrollton, Texas; a sister, Lola Hines of Jacksboro; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

George Saffell
MIDLAND, Texas - George Saffell, 75, died Monday, July 13, 1998, in Midland.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Ellis Funeral Home in Midland. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Mr. Saffell was born Sept. 7, 1922, in Saint Jo, Texas. He and Alice Genelle Shelley were married Sept. 14, 1947. He graduated from Saint Jo High School in 1940 and attended Texas Tech University. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II in North Africa, Casablanca, Oran, Tunis, Benghazi, Tripole and Egypt. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Wichita Falls.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Janet Sue Hall of Midland; two grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren.

Lynn Alan Crawford, 51, died Saturday, July 4, 1998, in Grand Prairie, Texas.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Wichita County Cemetery with Bishop Connolly R. O'Brien officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Hampton Vaughan Crestview Chapel.
Mr. Crawford was born Nov. 26, 1946, in Grand Prairie. He was a security guard for 20 years and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was a lifetime resident of Wichita Falls.
Survivors include a brother, Larry Crawford of Wichita Falls.

BURKBURNETT - Elsie Ada Isabel Staggs Gorham, 89, died Tuesday, July 14, 1998, in a Burkburnett nursing home.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Owens & Brumley Funeral Home with Dr. Tim Russell, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Burkburnett, officiating. Burial will be in Burkburnett Cemetery.
Mrs. Gorham was born April 16, 1909, in Emhouse, Texas. She and Minyard A. Gorham were married Feb. 7, 1935. He died in 1980. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Burkburnett. She had lived in Burkburnett since 1950.
Survivors include a son, Weldon of Burkburnett; two daughters, Barbara Gore of Weatherford, Texas, and Sue Hudson of Covington, Texas; 10 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
